It had been several decades since he had heard anything from the Council of Elders, not sure if they were still even around. Unsure of a lot of things these days regarding the council. He had been standing outside with Arcane books floating around him trying out several different varieties of spells, each one progressing more and more towards destruction but that was not what he wished. Trying to find that sweet spot between harmony and destruction for he was tired of all the violence his brethren were doing. A sigh escaping his lips as he finally managed to complete a complex arrangement of weaving to produce a holy spell that would reduce his enemies to ash yet heal those he deemed comrades. "That should do it" He spoke aloud as his thoughts were interrupted by a messenger that had managed to sneak up on him , producing a scroll that was sealed with wax bearing the emblem of the council. Bidding the messenger a good day he took the scroll inside to where he would break the seal and unroll it. Reading it to himself, it falling from his hands as he read the following lines ~Master Kayest, Lord Elder Melphast has passed, naming you the successor to him as Lord Elder~ He blinked several times making sure he read it correctly as he bent down to pick it up. Finally the elder that sired him had kicked the bucket, he was wondering why he felt so at peace the past few weeks and he was sure of it that was one of the reasons behind it. No longer feeling as hateful as he had once been. He picked up his quill and a piece of parchment as he wrote the following note to Katelynn. ~I've been summoned to attend to business regarding the Council of Elders, i shall return when i am done, try not to burn the manor down~ He left both the note he had written and the scroll the messenger gave him and set out towards the undisclosed location where the Council called home.

The pathway for Ceal's trip towards the elder's chambers was... oddly serene. There were no guard, no visitors, no non vampires coming with whatever they might come with... there was no one around.
Even more strange, perhaps, was the fact that every door into the main chambers was open, wide open, just inviting Ceal in. Despite this fact, there was no air of danger, no sense of foreboding. Everything about this seemed... fine?
When, eventually, the elder's table would be approached, the closer Ceal got, the more wavy and illusionary the table looked. In it's place set a gold glittering throne with red velvet cushion and two stakes at the top on either side. Obviously this was a taunting gesture, but sitting on a throne was a figure that Ceal would know through tales of annoyance and irritation. He would have likely seen the being himself a time or two with a wide smile on his face at all times, taking every bit of attempt at provoking reactions out of him with a bow and a "Of course, my lord!" or a "No, my lord!".
While obviously not a vampire, but fitting right in with such a 'court', the being looked to be male in nature, pale skin with a barely purple tint, pointy ears, vertical pupiled eyes, yet no signs of having sharp teeth. While sitting on the throne sideways, legs laying over one side, his back resting on the other arm rest, he tilts his head back and turns his head, looking in Ceals direction. "Well if it isn't /my/ lord".
There was a mischievous and pretentious tone in his words, but he didn't care. One thing that became apparent was the fact this being was a master of illusions, if nothing else. Tales of his 'powers' were little to none, aside from him being nothing more than a simple jester with some minld illusory magic. That notion was pretty well dispelled in a moments notice, as two more of him appeared on the top of the two stakes, each one balancing on one foot, arms and other leg held out.
Each of them would speak in a circle, but seemelessly join together to sound like it was one voice.
"Hello, my lord! It's about time you arrived. Would you like to hear of what's going on around your claim now? Or would you like to do something as foolish and headstrong as attempt to slay me now and let what's actually going on around you suddenly fall in your lap and deal with it without preparation? Or would you like to ask me what's happening right now?"
Obviously this being was playing a game, the one known as no other name than "Servant", and enjoyed waiting for the reaction of the new Elder.
No sooner did his question come than did the illusion of the throne and the three verions of him disappear, the table returned, and him sitting on it's edge, feet crossed at the ankle, swaying, hands on either sides of his hips, eyes narrowed, a forked tongue flicking out with a hiss before he speaks once more.
"Show me what makes you so different from the last few elders."
Casting his die in curiosity of what move Ceal would make, he waited, he had patience, his game was far longer than any vampire that came before Ceal could have ever imagined, and right now, he was set to enjoy himself in the moment.

Katelynn had been searching for Ceal, the Manor had been to quite. She was sure Ceal had broken something or was up to something. After finding Ceal's letter's she read them over quickly, her nose wrinkled in distaste. She was a newly turned Vampire by Ceal's hand and yet he still was to protective of her.
She hurried after him and used their new bond they shared with their blood to find her thick headed fiance. she cared not what he thought he was not going to leave her at home to worry. When she found him she thought about yelling at him but she changed her mind when she saw him and her heart turned soft and the anger quickly left. She found him outside of the old chamber's of the Elder's, but.. there was no one else in sight. It felt all to eerie, she felt uncomfortable in her own skin.
She slowly walked to his side as her soft hand gently slid into his own as she gave it a gentle squeeze. Her beautiful blue hues gazed into his crimson eyes " On our wedding day I will say ~I do~.. That means for better or for worse I will be here by your side" she whispered with a gentle smile as she made it clear he was not going to do anything alone. She would follow him inside and witness the scene before them.
As the events took place before them she slowly took a step behind Ceal and let him do what was needed, She was there to support him so she was silent and listened to the violet man play his riddles and games as her blue hues curiously looked around her and absorbed the history around her. It was all quite fascinating to her, she held a fondness for history. But her eyes slowly fluttered over to the violet man as her hand gently lifted up and touched Ceal's back to remind him she was there.

It was weird, the moment he stepped into the castle that belonged to the elders he felt weird, he could tell there was an active spell surrounding the place , perhaps for the first time he was uncertian of the outcome of this little visit.
Even so, he pressed on, walking through the isolated halls, taking note of each door wide open as he entered the main hall, spotting the jester sitting on a throne that he knew didnt belong there, the throne that is. "I am to assume this is your doing?" he moved his arms around noting the magic in place as he stepped towards the man, keeping on his guard as he went from one to three in a matter of seconds. "I am no ones lord, yet" He spoke with kindness laced with the intent of scaring him out of his wits. He didnt play well when he was subject to illusions, it wasnt his style to be caught in one and here we was, having walked directly into it.
"The journey was abit long though here I stand" He tilted his head at the mentioning of slaying the jester "Never kill the help, thats bad for business" he said with a smile listening to the creature "Would definately love to know whats going on, more so, how did Lord Elder die to be more precise" He looked around as he felt a hand to his back, glancing over his shoulder at Katelynn as she whispered, bringing a genuine smile to his face. "Thank you" He whispered back to her.
Turning his attention back to the jester as he made a simple demand. "The difference between me and the last ones? I do not have a hatred towards the mortal races, There will be a time when we vampires will be on the opposite end of the spectrum of power and until that clock chimes, We shall live in the peace we desire. While the man, creature, whatever he was, was sitting on that table still, and while he wasn't scared at the statement of being no one's master yet, he also kept still and quiet, letting the vampire speak what he had to say, legs still swinging.
"Oh it's certainly my doing."
This was finally uttered, and there was a laughter that echoed that of some being that made one wonder whether they were being toyed with or actually amused at. Those swinging legs started to make a stepping motion upwards, and his upper body was off the table, the creature walking in an arc-like motion until he was standing in the air, upside down, the clothing that did cover him not noticing the change in gravity.
"You see..." A hand was lifted 'upwards' from his position, index finger held up. "The irony of what you just said is that there is nothing~"
As he spoke the previous words, and the following ones, little cloudy images appeared around him in a semicircle, showing images of different mortal beings wielding varying, but incredible powers.
"stopping those mortals from doing that very thing this moment, if they knew things, knew locations, knew that there was even a spectrum to be flip flopped in the first place."
The images all disappeared one by one, and the creature disappeared after the last image did. When he reappeared, he was laying down in the air, behind the head chair of the table, flat, holding some flowers above his chest, mimicking someone dead.
"Since you're smarter than the last person that ruled over this room, this game of political power and jealousy, I'll let you know some facts that'll keep you from pushing up flowers just like I am demonstrating now."
The man simmered, then disappeared into nothingness before his voice instead echoed all around the two within the chamber itself.
"The letter was sent by me, as it is truth, however... Those foolish enough to not realize that they could not take over this world if they tried thought to seek to do just that, taking out any opposition that keeps them from trying. Here, I'll give you a little peek of what's been going on around you in your stead, my potential 'master'"
While his words had no cynicism to them, he made a point to, as he's been doing since Ceal walked into the room, being that if anyone was his master, it was never anyone of the vampire court.
All around them, the scene changed, drastically. There was blood all over the place, a few non vampires laying dead, either eviscerated or headless, or drained dry. Some evidence of vampires dead all over the room. There could be heard distant voices screaming more towards the path that lead to the court itself, and someone wearing a trench coat and a wide brimmed hat with all sorts of vampire hunter gear along him stepped into the court to take a look around. He looked human, but his very presence was one that sent the hairs on the back of one's neck up on end. Not out of fear, but more out of instinctual warning that he was far from human. The man looked right through the other two, then sniffed the air a moment before snorting and walking back out.
"Isn't that fun? Someone within the vampire court actually hired a hunter dog to a leech pit. A hunter dog, I might add, that had little trouble dispatching any excuse for guard this place had. Would he have been able to kill them all alone? No, likely not, but he wasn't alone, and it would have been a masterpiece of a fight if the vampires struck back assuming that it would be an easy quick kill."
Appearing again at the entrance to the main room, the previous signs of gore gone and the clean room appearing once more, he holds his arms out to either side of himself and looks towards the room.
"So you understand, this is all happening as it's happening. Everything I've told you is true, and I have a present for you."
One of his arms dropped, the other pointing behind the table. A shimmering happens behind the table and there is a vampire bound inside of an iron maiden with some glowing enchanted straps holding him in. "This one is the one that started this whole thing. He can't see us, and I leave it up to you should you choose to seal that coffin, and thus his fate. And since you've likely gathered by now that I have no need to serve the previous lord, or you, but choose to, I offer you the same thing I have offered every one before. You can have me..."
He starts to walk over towards the table and takes a seat at one end, sitting prim and proper, his hands folding atop one another. This time, however, his gaze locks onto Ceals' own, and in a much more serious tone, says....
"Or someone else can."

Listened to the conversation between Ceal and the "Jester" and the more she heard the more uncomfortable she became. Her curiosity quickly faded away as she realized this was not a friendly meeting, She was not sure where to stand or look but knew to stay quite.
She watched as the "Jester" did his tricks and illusions and for a moment she was entertained and fascinated by him. It was easy to see the "Jester" had a very powerful personality and confident in his words.
But all that quickly left her thoughts as the room started to fill with a horrific sight
Corpses..There was so many of them. they all seemed dismembered and tortured. She screamed as she covered her mouth and started to Trimble. her once beautiful hues shown nothing but fear and shock. She was a newly turned Vampire and she never in her short life seen such a sight.. she never witnessed anything like this.
When the vision vanished she was shaken and horrified. Tear's fell down her pale freckled cheeks as she looked to the "Jester " and shook her head roughly " Those poor people... Parents..Children." Her long red hair started to slowly dance and sway along her slender body as her hair shifted to beautiful golden flames.
When she saw the person come forth trapped in the Iron Maiden she covered her mouth in pure shock. she could not believe any of this.. that anyone could be so cruel. She walked closer the the tormented person trapped in such a awful thing. " This is savage..." If she could she would lay her hand on the Tortured man's as she would try to comfort him as she looked into Ceal's crimson eyes, her heart was broken. " Is this what I am to become?..." she asked him as she feared she would become such a monster.
She looked once more to the " Jester " her eyes full of questions and compassion " If I may ask, What has this Man done?.. What crimes has he committed to be treated so cruelly? ". she tried to ask as respectfully as she could and calmly.
