Vici smiled and then hugged Cairogen when he came near and she moved to Laelia wrapping arms about the woman as well or trying. They saved her mistress and she would be forever grateful and fawn over Laelia from that day onward. She ran back over to the queen and hugged her crying onto her as her color and form started to solidify once more. It was clear Vici was not human and thing was appropriate for what she was, but Vici was a proper name. She would now stay by the queen's side till she recovered fully and helped her up to move from the room.

The moment she felt the satisfying crunch of the crown beneath her boot heel, everything shifted and was back to normal. The little goblin creature confessed as to the contents of the 'poisoned' cups, and then disappeared. Laelia stared down at the broken remains of the crown beneath her foot. Her hand raised, fingers pinching the bridge of her nose. "Really?" She muttered flatly.
As Monet approached, the General lifted her gaze, her expression checked in front of so many people even as she was embraced by the woman with whom she had a most complicated relationship. She had not expected Monet's arms around her, especially not in public, nor did she expect the kiss brushed against her cheek. "You're welcome." She said, having the barest of chances to slip her arm around Monet's waist and return the squeeze before the other woman pulled away pulled away.
"Trust you to fix something by breaking something else. You're so awesome when you're mad. Unless it's at me." Zephyr muttered with a rueful laugh beside his mother, falling silent as a woman he didn't recognize embraced Laelia in a rather familiar way. His brow furrowed slightly as Monet pulled away Laelia and smiled at him. He awkwardly offered a nod of his own head, not truly knowing how to react.
As Monet walked away, Zephyr glanced sideways at Laelia. "Who was that, Mom?" He asked quietly.
Laelia's eyes closed briefly. She could still smell Monet's perfume clinging to her clothing. "I'll...tell you when we get home, Zephyr." It was long due, she supposed. "It's a long story."
Cairogen's congratulations were met with a nod and a hum of acknowledgement. She didn't truly feel deserving of congratulations. Their freedom had merely been the byproduct of her temper. But all the same, she was glad to be done with this mess.
Laelias arms raised awkwardly as Vici lunged for her, grimacing as she was hugged. Thing was like an ill behaved pet she didn't want to touch, and Laelia looked around for her 'owner' to come and collect her. Thankfully the embrace wasn't long, and Laelia lowered her arms again.
With a look towards her brother that lingered somewhere between exasperation and disbelief, Laelia shook her head. Settling an arm around Zephyr's shoulder, she began to urge him towards the exit. "Let's go home."

Wulv hadn't thought that they had been unreasonable at all during the event trying to cooperate with the others and just using some knowledge they had. But still who ever listened to them. It mattered not Wulv shrugged it off moving to Sune. They gave a nod of respect to Monet as she left and had to smile at the general's antics. Whether she saw sparks fly from the crown giving her the final clue it was not what it seemed or just her temper no one might ever know. But it was something Wulv could have never figured out to be the key in a thousand years or more. They smiled embracing Sune "You are perhaps a bit more clever than I am my darling. I would have never guessed the crown." Wulv leaned their forehead to Sune's. "I am glad you were here with us tonight to help everybody. Whether they wished it or not."
Wulv watched the 'pet' or 'child' the 'thing' embrace Laelia and was about to stop them, but the embrace did not last long. It was funny seeing a creature act like that that looked old enough to be an adult at least. Maybe she had grown up with Protea though and developed feelings for her just as anyone might. If Laelia after all saved Sune's life... well maybe not a hug but a bow of respect. Which Wulv gave to the woman now before returning to Sune. "Let's go home, we can return for the council when it starts, but for now we might have had enough of an adventure for one night."

Ronnie stood before Monet who gave off a very aggravated vibe, but Ronnie was determined to learn about the Vargo. Ronnie was distracted by Laelia who decided it was smart to destroy the crown. Well actually it was smart as breaking the crown seemed to revert everything to normal. Ronnie was disappointed, because so many opportunities was lost because of it. Targeting Wulv was out of the question for obvious reasons.
All he had left was his investigation into the Vargos. It was his primary reason for being there. Monet seemed to want to thank Laelia for saving everyone. Ronnie was unsure if she figured it out or if she destroyed the crown was frustration. Due to the nature of everything that has happened the only conclusion of to this game was to show that Protea was unfit to rule the kingdom. She was rendered unconscious and unable to lead everyone to safety. The key to break it appeared to have to do with severing her connection to the castle.
Ronnie watches as Monet leave and he wasn't about to let her off easy, Ronnie felt that she knew more about the situation. Ronnie would begin his walk after her, but would stop briefly by Laelia, and he would speak, “I would hope you would conduct an investigation on the treason that happened here today.” After speaking his words Ronnie immediately left here. Ronnie would leave Laelia to fill in the blanks.
Ronnie wouldn't bother explaining himself as he was keen on following Monet. Ronnie didn't want to risk losing her, so he tapped into his mental connection with Shrick and would use Dragon Bond-Smell enhance. This would allow him to gain temporary access to Shrick sense of smell. This would make it easier for him to track Monet by her scent.
Ronnie would follow Monet as she entered hidden rooms and passages. Ronnie would utilize his speed to attempt to chase after her and attempt to get into all the rooms, that would close after her. If successful with it all, Ronnie would call out to her, “Wait, I am not done speaking with you!” By now they would be in the woods and there would be no distractions to stop him from getting what he want.

As Ronnie attempted to follow Monets Rita would glance at him the 3 women would be surrounding him in an instant, blocking his advance. Ellina glaired at him and said " Ronnie, you have spent this whole ordeal stalking Monet. Unless you have a damn good reason to be doing so I suggest you leave her be. " Rita speaks next " Stalking is a crime in all of Tyran, and stalking an heir of the Crown is treason if I recall " she looks to the General. " does that sound correct to you General? " Sakura bares her fangs and hisses at Ronnie.

when he introduced himself to Laelia before. The reason didn't matter, Ronnie would speak aggressively, “You are in the way, you are letting a potential informant of this ordeal just walk. She obviously knows something.” Ronnie was not bothered by her hissing as he heard it all before. “Plus the Vargos aren't heirs anymore if Protea is the new queen, only her potential future offspring would be heirs now. Treason can only be assigned to citizens of the Tyran Capital, the Breteuil family is not under any alliance or treaty to be considered a citizen, or official resident, we have never receive aid or anything from the Capital and thus can't be accused of a treason. Now step aside before she gets away.”

Post by Jacob Tanner on Aug 7, 2017 7:44:33 GMT -8
Tanner lingered a while longer as people began shuffling out, the stress from the evening's events had stripped away some of the glamour everybody had arrived with. In this brief moment they appeared slightly more... human to him. Tired. Frustrated. Agitated. Ready to get away from this place. These were feelings Jacob could grasp. His focus however, was not on them.
He bent down to retrieve the goblet from between his feet. It not only was empty of its contents, but it also felt empty of its meaning. Spinning the cup along its axis between thumb and index, he reflected on the decisions made. His only motivating factor to choose this cup was to fulfill his oath to protect the citizens of Tyran. Jacob had wagered that if it had been him to drink the poison, that the stronger person he would have spared from drinking it would have been better suited to solve the game. And if the poison had killed him that that same stronger person would have better defended Tyran in the long run. Conversely, if he had allowed another to bear the responsibility, Tanner would have been but one average young man with an average make sword and armor. One pawn in a game of kings. A terribly unbalanced scale from his point of view.
The way the others had acted though had started something inside Jacob that he wouldn't fully comprehend until much later. A dark seed had rooted somewhere deep within his arithmetic. Tanner had always believed in the mission of the Tyran military and what it stood for. He had been taught that those in positions of power were always working to make things better, but sometimes soldiers were needed to help bring about order during times of change or to hold back those that would seek to undo the good works of the leaders of men.
With the most prominent members of Tyran gathered here for the coronation, these were those said leaders of men. And how had they treated Tanner's decision to defend them? To do the one specific purpose he was meant for? Some had thought it foolish. Some tried to stop him. More had simply scoffed as though all of this was something beneath them. And that manifested as a logical anomaly to Jacob. The leaders of men didn't seem to care one way or the other about the lives and well-being of each other. And if they weren't concerned with their own kinfolk, what were their thoughts on those they represented?
Nobody, including Jacob, actually knew what the poison was, only that a possible outcome was death. When a small few stepped forward, too many had responded with dispassionate disinterest. Tanner's eyes suddenly grew very cold and distant, a certain opaqueness glazing over them. What had happened here was in direct conflict with the tenants that the army had ingrained in him. Unwilling to believe he had been lied to outright just yet, the only way he was able to reconcile the conflicting information was by coming to one final conclusion...
The leaders of men must be so powerful that death is more of a whimsical idea to them vice the absolute reality it is for people like Jacob. Something that happened only to the little people, not them. Why should they care if one or two or fifty of them came to harm or died? More would be born and everything would be right so long as the powerful remained unaffected.
The cup was void of purpose, but it had imparted him with a new, darker meaning. It would be quite some time before it fully manifested in his psyche--but the message had been received. Corporal Tanner returned the empty chalice to a nearby table. Despite what the others may have thought, he was proud of his decision to protect others. He was also proud of those who had made his same choice. Especially now that he knew it would have meant the queen would have been removed from the game and thus ended the game itself. Sacrifice not in vain. He had also stared down fate, unafraid and resolute. Pride was definitely a commodity he was not short of right now.
Tanner would remain longer still, to ensure the queen's continued safety and that he would be there to help should anything else fantastical happened. When the last of the guests left, that is when he would take his leave as well.

In a flash it was over, Laelia broke the crown and this turned out the be the answer the whole time as everything suddenly returned to normal and she could feel her magic working again. Her fox ears vanished from sight as did the tails and she once again looked like a simple woman. To say she wasn’t frustrated by not realizing what the answer was, was playing it down a bit.
Since the first room she had been saying the key must have been the crown but instead of focusing on what to do with it she had let others convince her that she was wrong and that the key was something else. Once again she had failed to listen to herself and let others tell her what should be done. She frowned but wouldn’t return the cups even though they were empty now. She felt maybe the Neko would enjoy using them as hats.
The goblin thing thanked them for playing and that got to Sune. This had all just been a game but to what end and for what purpose? though she wondered at the notion of changing genders since she and Wulv could already do such things; and then the Goblin was gone and Protea was awake, asking for a recount of what had happened. She would fill the woman in if no one else bothered to.
She glanced at Orisi when he complained about the fact they had not figured out the key was the crown and now she as feeling like no one had even listened to her the whole time. Like she was just an invisible face that spoke and yet none had listened. That thought wavering as he said she had been the only one making sense in the last room, meaning he had listened.. just not fully.
Her gaze turned to Monet as she watched the woman thank the General and moved over to do the same “If I could hug you General.. I would do so as well to say thank you, thank you for saving us from ourselves.” she smiled, though she wouldn’t force a hug on her since she knew she didn’t hold the same connections to her and felt a hug from her would not be as welcome as the hug from Monet had been.
She looked to Zephyr and bowed to them “It is also a pleasure to have met your son here… even if it wasn’t under better circumstances. You must be very proud of your mother” she said and smiled at him before turning to bow her head back to Monet
“And thank you Monet for working with us and putting up with what was asked of you despite the discomfort it caused.” She smiled at the former queen. Waving her farewell as she would leave.
Sune then turned to Cairogen as she was spoken too and would gladly give him his cup back. “I’m going to give the rest to the Neko I think” she told him, her facial expression looking sad and a bit disappointed. She smiled only a bit at seeing Vici interacting with the queen, a sigh escaping them. The sigh turned into a ‘umph’ as Wulv hugged them a bit too tightly.
She gave Wulv a doubtful look at the complement. “if I were so clever I think I might be better at getting others to actually listening to me… instead.. instead I might as well of been a ghost howling in the wind.." she sighed and tried her best to not get upset. After all it was a room full of big personalities and there was no reason for any of them to listen to each other or even respect one another and in the end it was that same problem that had angered the General enough to do what needed to be done.
She tried to shake it off and to stop feeling sorry for herself, something Sune was very good at doing, and just gave Wulv a kiss to make themselves fell a bit better “Thank you my love..Though perhaps I should have drank the poison.. might have been different having bunny ears.” she tried to joke, another attempt to lighten her own mood. At the mention of going home Sune nodded
“Just one more moment Wulv there is another I must thank first.” she said and walked over to address Jacob, ignoring the squabbling now going on between Ronnie and the three woman trying to keep him from following Monet.
She stepped up to Tanner nervously as she still felt a bit uneasy around him. Sune being a timid person most times despite how much magic they could wield.
“Mr..Mr Tanner… I .. I don’t know if it’s pointless to say this or not considering the outcome… but I wanted to say thank you again.. You, a man of no power of no renown or tittle took up a cup despite thinking it would kill you just like the rest of us did. I want you to know that I know how much of a sacrifice you were making.. but that I’m glad it never came to that… I don’t know you so don’t know if you have a wife and children but regardless if it had killed you I’m sure whatever family you have would have missed you greatly, like I missed my own parents after their deaths and still do to this day” She frowned, lowering her head as not only did she know what it was like to lose others but what it was like to feel lost.
Despite what he might think death scared her and the idea of her family members finally moving on was not one she looked forward to and fought hard to prevent when such times of trouble arose.
“Perhaps my thanks is meaningless to you because I am not without those things you don’t understand and you may think I am too powerful to fully appreciate what you were willing to do… but despite my attempts to stop you..” She looked back over her shoulder at her love but continued to speak to him.
“If it had come down to drinking and you had been killed… you would have saved her.. and our child from taking that same risk..I just..” she started tearing up and this time she couldn’t help herself as she turned back to him and moved in to hug him tightly. All the fear and the stress of the situation coming out in the tears that fell as she did so.
“Thank you… Thank you… Thank You…” she would let go of him after awhile and dry her eyes, giving a sniff. Wulv meant everything to them as did the child growing in her, though she was sure he would be confused as to how a lady could get another lady pregnant.

"You mistake my mandate. Protea may conduct her own investigation into what happened here. And I believe she should. But that is not my duty."
Laelia paused, glancing back and forth between Ronnie and Rita. "Treason? No. But damned rude? Yes. Monet doesn't know anything. I suggest you leave it at that, Mr. Breteuil. She's doing you a favour in avoiding you. If you back her into a corner, you'll find Monet Vargo more than capable of taking care of herself. And you'll find very few who will support you when you face the consequences of your harassment."
Gazing at Sune, she would not accept a hug, however she did extend a hand to shake. It was a gesture she appreciated far better. "I did hope to resolve this without costing any lives." To be fair, they had no way of knowing what the consequences of drinking the 'poison' would be. "It seemed foolish to invite the potential of death before even considering the alternatives. You have my thanks for your support, Sune."
Zephyr raised his hand and awkwardly waved in response to Sune's bow. "Uh...yeah. I'm always proud of her." But he was eager to have answers to his questions. He looked over his shoulder and waved to Elyn and Ardyn, to his Uncle and his Uncle's companion. "Let's go, mom."
"In a moment, Zephyr." She said to her son. Laelia then turned her attention to Corporal Tanner, gifting him with the infamous Kaliba 'stare'.
"Corporal, we are going to have a little chat, you and I. Report to me when you've returned to the outpost."

The Queen was horrified at what Sune was telling her as she filled her in on all that had happened. She listened as she held Vici close to her as the girl sobbed, running her hand down the girls hair to try to sooth her. "Thank you," she said sincerely to Sune. There was so much to process. So many to thank, so many to worry over, and yet still more business to do. "Give me a moment," she whispered to Vici before planting a kiss on the girl's forehead and standing.
"Thank you all, for the sacrifices you were willing to make tonight. Thank you for taking the time to consider all the possibilities for the best outcomes for all. Thank you for protecting me... and thank you," she looked over at Raelle, "for considering my death as well, if it meant you all could be safe. I too, would have chosen to sacrifice myself if it meant ensuring the rest would live. Raelle is a very brave woman, even if she has a harsh tongue. Thank you, Queen Raelle, and I hope I can have a way to appease you and your homeland for the sacrifice you almost made tonight." She looked to the General and bowed at the waist. "Thank you, General Kaliba. You protected my people and honored our alliance, when I was incapable of it. I shall not forget what you've done for us, no matter how you came to the conclusion," a playful smile at knowing it was more than likely a 'fluke' but still appreciated. "Don't worry about the crown by the way... after tonight, I would have smashed it too."
A few left during or briefly after she made her short speech and she returned to Vici. "All of you should go home, hug your loved ones, reflect on this night. If some of you still wish to be on my council... I will still hold the meeting. Anyone who does not, I will not hold it against you in the slightest. I apologize for what you've had to endure tonight under my roof. Go now... you deserve rest."
She looked at Vici and now had a private moment with her that to others might have really looked like either a mother-daughter moment, or a big sister proud of her little sister. "You saved me. You were very brave, and what you did was dangerous because in such a situation people become desperate. Stealing away the guaranteed chance at life from the others to protect me could have gotten you hurt or worse." She made sure Vici knew she wasn't scolding her through, as Protea was smiling. "You brave, silly girl. I'm so proud of you, and grateful to have you in my life. We need to work harder on getting you that ability to communicate with others..." she hugged her again and allowed the girl to cry and absorb the emotions. Protea too, took a brief moment to breathe and allow herself a second to just relax with Vici.

Unknown to Monet, someone had started to follow her, and then... people actually protected her. If she had known, it would have shocked her. Perhaps it was because they had all just been through this tormoil together, that they felt the need to protect her. Whatever the reason, she would have been grateful and unfortunately for Ronnie since he was stopped, he would not have the ability to follow her through all the secret passage ways and out into the forest. A good thing too, because as Laelia said... Monet was not someone you wanted to back into a corner. A mistake already made once, and would have faced the consequences of doing a second time.

The small devil that had found a seat on Jacob's shoulder was forced to abandon his post in the face of Sune's kind words. One thing he had gleaned from his service was that darkness did not survive in the light. It would return should that light fade, but as long as it was there the dark would find no quarter. It was why the vigilance against cruelty and harm must be maintained for as long as possible, then handed on to the next generation to do the same. Sune had brought that light back into his mind, even if for but a moment.
His eyelids beat up and down, their natural disposition returning. His face brightened and his voice no longer carried the boom of authority it had earlier. For this one shared instant, he was the young man he started the evening as. "I....Im sorry I yelled at you," he rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. "I just, well...," rather than trying to explain how he was only trying to help, he shifted instead to trying to prove everything was alright between them. He remembered the sugar cookie he had tucked away earlier and presented it to Sune. "You tried to shield us from our own rash decisions. I respect that."
When she hugged him, a warmth washed over the room. Something deeply human was taking place here. Two strangers had become a mother giving thanks to the soldier that would have saved her children. Others may have missed it, but it wasnt something that Jacob would forget. Perhaps that would help him sort out the chaos that had buried itself in his thoughts? Or maybe it would only add to his troubled mind? That was a debate for much later. For the now, Jacob embraced her in kind. Given her close proximity, he whispered to her, "The moment we forget we are in this together is the moment we are lost. That's what my sergeant told me once. I didn't know what it meant until today."
Tanner smiled warmly and watched as she returned to Wulv, comforted by one remaining thought:
Today, Tyran was safe.

Sometime after Sune had left his presence, general Laelia Kaliba had issued an order... directly to him. His spine went fully erect and he put his closed right fist against his chest--the indoor salute, "Yes, ma'am!" he promptly acknowledged with a slow gulp running down his throat.
It was almost never a good thing when the senior staff wanted to speak directly to you.
Tanner remained providing additional security until all the guests were gone and then made haste to his detachment's camp. He cursed and sweat the entire brisk walk back. He was certain he would be doing something that involved scrubbing floors with his hands for at least the next month.
Back at the outpost, he went straight to sergeant William's, his immediate supervisor that would direct him to the general, when she was ready. The tension gnawed at him for the rest of the evening. Somehow he doubted he would be invited back for the council meeting.

Vici gave the queen a wide smile embracing her closely then started to mime about all the adventures that she had while the queen was asleep as she put it in her miming. At some point in there she even recounted how she had to take on an entire army just to get the potion to Protea. An exaggeration sure, but to her Laelia did seem like a whole army as she was stronger and bigger. But Vici had to do everything to save her mistress. She watched as the other left and took Queen Protea's hand to lead her out of there to her room where she would mime what she thought about some of the people that had been there, hoping to cheer her mistress since the nights events had been rough on everyone.

Ronnie heard the words of Laelia as she responded that investigating occurrences in the castle was not her job and that was Protea's decision alone to make if one was going to be made. He just responded to her comment with a “humph.” Ronnie listened as Laelia gave her two cents, “People hide things that don't even share with people close to them, she looks like the type to hide stuff, keeping dark secrets that she won't share easily. I don't care about the risks, Opal already warned me about the dangers of trifling with the Vargos and that didn't stop me, so if a mega level powerful Dragon of legend couldn't stop me, then neither can you, I don't care about the danger, I am a Breteuil, not some fool who wants to always take the easy way out.” While he spoke he would face the three standing before him. Ronnie sniffed beneath his mask and was disappointed as she was too far away to pursue.
On the bright side Ronnie did get a whiff of her scent, something that would be remembered by Shrick, so she wasn't completely escaped from him yet. Ronnie would have to result to his original plan, the council meeting and surprising enough Protea was going through with it and right away at that. Perhaps the situation showed that having a council was twice as important than before. Ronnie however had his doubts about Protea, she said she would sacrificed herself, that would be bad, with the prophecy she claimed and all. If she died tonight, then who would save Tyran when the bigger threat came, she seemed to have noble intentions, but was she really wise enough to rule the Capital and make unpopular but necessary decisions for the future of all of Tyran.
Ronnie would speak up regardless of what they would say to him, “In any case, you guys have allowed her to escape, I have a council meeting to attend, so step aside as I am sure that you know harassing a honored guest of the queen would be a crime.” Ronnie knew he was putting a stretch on that word honored, as he was more so of an invited guest and in a way wasn't even the guest. He was merely a fill in to the one who originally received the request. Regardless Ronnie, had an invitation to the council meeting and he would show them if they demanded proof if only to get them out of his face, so that he can continue with his own investigation.

((Rita)) Rita would let him pass after enough time had passed to allow Monet to take her leave, she looks him in the eye and says " you would be wise to drop this here and now, should you persist I can promise you it will not end well for you. " she opens a Rift " this will take you to the front gates of the palace. " the look in here eyes would be that of a 1000 suns exploding all at once. " Lastly you have no authority to investigate anything, keep that in mind when should you chose to ignore our warnings. "
((Ellina)) after the ' Talk' with Ronnie was done she looks to Protea and says " Thank you for the party, it was ... fun. But I think I'm going to go, I'll return to represent the Rogues guild when your council starts. " she then nods to Rita who opens a portal for her, she bows to the room and leaves.
((Sakura)) floats up in the air and says " If it's alright with you Protea I'll just hang around here till the meeting, I've been wanting to see the capital palace, Also staying here might get Bellinda to stop being so uptight about be ditching my bodyguards "

Ronnie begins his walk the moment they realized they had no authority to keep him here. Ronnie avoided the rift as he had other business, it seemed Rita was deaf and that he had business with Protea in the meeting. It didn't matter. Ronnie stopped for a moment “A bit of advice, anyone has the right to investigate anything that can be a threat to them in the future, you look after your friends, while I look after what is important to me, you may fear death, but I do not, not anymore.” Ronnie walks off, presumably to head to the room that the council was going to be taken. He wanted to get a good seat.

Sune had smiled and shook hands with Laelia, her grip a light and delicate one “Yes general, I agree. It’s why I was trying so hard to get everyone to stop drinking the stuff. Why risk lives if there is an alternate route present right?" She smiled as she agreed with the woman, bowing her head in response to the thanks from her in turn. She would have let them go then as she could see Zephyr’s eagerness to leave and had other things to tend to herself.
When it came to telling Protea what had happened, the telling had been a bit hard for Sune because she could see how much it upset Vici. Sune was upset by the events as well though it wouldn’t come out until she was hugging Jacob later. She nodded to the thanks and pet Vici gently on the shoulder “It’s all ok now little one” she would coo.
She listened as the Queen took her time to thank them all for various things, even of considering her death. Then moving on to welcome them to be members of her council if they still wished to be. Protea suggest they go home to rest and hug loved ones and Sune wouldn’t disagree with that. Before leaving Protea and Vici to their private moment she would say but one more thing to them. “I know a girl that can teach Vici sign language.. and you too my queen..but perhaps another time we can discuss this” She said and left it at that.
When she had said the things she had said to Jacob she had no clue how he would take it or that she was chasing away demons darkening his mind. Her own tension relaxing as the authority from his voice left and he apologized to her and offered her a cookie. She couldn’t help a smile at this and would take it, eyelids batting as she reached up to touch his face gently with her left hand on his warm check. "it’s ok…” she told him and pat his cheek lightly, like a grandmother might when forgiving their grandchild.
And then the two were hugging and it felt like a relief to let it all out, her tears soaking into his shirt as she had cried on him a bit. She heard his whisper and would just nod and squeeze him a bit tighter before puling away. “Take care in all things you do Mr Tanner. I hope you live a long and good life” were the last words she spoke to him before finally going to take her leave with Wulv, sharing the cookie Tanner had given her with her mate on the way out.
