Before Joining
At this point you should have read everything, but if you feel overwhelmed, here's a little repeat of what you should know. If you have done so, move along to character creation!
First, please make sure you've read over the following
1. Rules - To give you a feel of the kind of things we allow here.
2. Plot - So you know what you're getting into! Although we have a very simple and generic plotline.
3. Setting - This is our map section. You're able to apply for land if your story calls for it (though it's optional)
4. Lore - Tyran offers anything under the sun, but we do have some special races and classes specific to our game!

Feel free to contact any of our admin if you have any further questions.
Character Creation
So you have a character in mind… Perfect! Now it's time you create that character.
Since we lack any character application thread, we ask that you fill out your profile when you've registered the name. There is no timeline on this, but we do ask that you get the basics done before jumping into plotting so we can understand the characters you're bringing in. If you feel hesitant about something, feel free to ask any admin for help!
We are a medieval fantasy game, but our rules are pretty slack on what kind of race is or is not permitted. If you have a certain way you play your race/character, go ahead. Just respect that others might not see it the same way you do! (and vise versa)
Literally, that's all it takes to have a character be part of Tyran. No fuss no muss! We want to make sure people don't feel stressed about getting involved in a game.
Note: You do not have to register with an OOC account name. It can be your actual character's name!
Or maybe you're not sure about the kind of character you want to bring in. Check out our Wanted Ads to see if something interests you.
Getting Involved
Okay, so I have my character, now what!?
Now it's time you figure out what direction you want to take. Our plot is very basic. We offer three major routes in Tyran:
1. Political:
Here in Tyran, you have the freedom to be noble or poor. Either way, you're likely involved in the political aspect of the game, especially if you live in any of our player made kingdoms. Players can create kingdoms and rule them by playing out your own story. You may also want to get involved with Tyran's Queen of all, Laeliakaliba Kaliba. by extension, you may also speak to her about joining the Tyran Army. . The sky is the limit on the political involvement.
2. Religion:
There are two gods in Tyran: Sinead, the goddess of Light/Good and Tyr, the god of Darkness/Evil. Gods are played by admin in order to help story line, although many players choose to believe in NPC type gods. The choice is yours, as Tyran is ever evolving. Both gods require players to be part of their staff roles and help protect their faith. If you enjoy playing clergy characters, this is your chance to join as a priest or a guardian. Maybe you want a minor role as the god's messenger?
3. Clans/Families:
You have the option of creating a clan or a noble house/family here in Tyran. Each one has different sets of rules to follow based on its leader, so please make sure to read about those before joining one.
If you're not sure yet, simply throw up a plotter. You can make up your mind if you'd like to sink your teeth into the games major plots or just give a home to your character that focused on simple stories. That's the beauty of a freeform game.
Power in this game comes in a few different forms. Power in numbers (clan/family/allies), power in position, and power in dice rank. The latter is only used in certain quests or battles, so dice rank is not too important to worry about, but something to be mindful of. To increase your dice rank, all you need to do is post on the forum. If you are primarily a chatter, you can post logs of your play, or a journal summary of what you did to get credit for your play. In most aspects of the game however, having friends or allies in the world will be more to your benefit. So be sure to get involved in open stories and events to start getting to know people.
