Kairn looked to him coldly "No, i do not think i'll sacrifice a life that has yet to live. To be honest your pushing your luck asking for Jorda. The 'demon' inside me is screaming to cut your head from your shoulders, burn your tower to the ground and wipe all trace of it and you from this realm" A few cracks appeared by his eyes for a moment but soon sealed away again as he took a breath "But...this is Jordas decision, his life, his town" He looks to Jorda again "Make your choice, i have tried to end things peacefully but it seems my efforts were in vain." He looks to farron again "If he chooses death, you must vow to leave the city alone, end this or you will face a flame even hell fears" Kairn was done playing negotiator, it ended here one way or another.

Farron let out a laugh, shaking his head a moment before sticking his thumb into the end of the pipe and snuffing it out. "You obviously have a knack for heroism." Farron said with a smirk on his face, placing the pipe back into his coat. "I must say I didn't take you to be one of that sort of thing. I pegged you more as the means to an end type." He said, brushing the sleeves of his coat off gently. He sniffed the air a moment, looking into Kairn's eyes as he seemed to be thinking. Jorda would step forward, ready to speak when Farron held his hand out, looking wickedly to Jorda with a cold hearted expression on his face. "Save it Jorda, we both know this doesn't end with you... not anymore." He said, the sound of his voice sounding almost remorseful.
"I admit you are rather skilled Kairn. I would be curious to see if your magic can penetrate my own." He said, that grin appearing on his face again. "Perhaps you might even be able to find my tower. After all you would have to if you intended to burn it down." He said with a chuckle, looking back to Jorda a moment. "The deal is off." He said, looking to Kairn. "You seem so insistent on stepping forward and speaking when you have no business to. I do appreciate the effort of course you did try to settle matters mind you... they were never yours to settle. Consider this a courtesy Kairn. I will attack Ansem in oh... let's say two months time. That should give you enough time to prepare yourselves for the attack and..." He looked back to Kairn. "Make any attempts you would have to find me if that is truely what you wish." He said with a chuckle. "When I attack and breach the barrier around Ansem I will take both your life Jorda... and the girls." He said, looking to Kairn once again.
"Some times Kairn... actions no matter how heroic they may seem can turn to be a fools errand. In this case you had one chance to save a life and you chose not to." He said with a sickening grin as he turned his body. "However once again I do commend you for your act of heroism... I guess that would make me the villain." He laughed, looking back to Jorda once with a squint in his eye. "Her name was Priscilla." He said as he gave Jorda yet another cold look before turning his back to Kairn. "Two months Kairn and Jorda... I do hope you will be fun." He said, starting to walk away.

Kairn stays quiet as Farron speaks until he starts to walk away "Then i suppose i will have to ask the tree spirits where it is. I suppose it might be that building that stands two stories tall above ground but extends below farther than the tree roots can reach" He would turn and look to Jorda, not paying mind to Farron anymore it would seem. "It seems the truce has fallen away, to be honest i figured as much would happen"
He unsheathes his sword and grips the handle tightly "We should get back...he said he wouldnt attack Ansem for two months, but he said nothing about the forest between here and there. If we encounter enemies i will not fight them, simply clear a path. Keep moving and anything that gets close i will clear away. We have preparations to make and i have potions to craft, he wont get what he wants..."

Jorda stayed silent through the entire encounter, not wishing to get a word in. It is possible that he was too afraid to speak to Farron or perhaps he didn't wish to speak a though, already having come to terms with his imminent demise however that did not seem to be as Jorda looked on in disbelief and disappointment as Farron did in fact not take him but rather was after the younger one.
"This... is what I had feared..." Jorda spoke finally after Farron had vanished from sight, dissolving into the forest like mist dispersing. Jorda turned back to Kairn once he was sure Farron was gone. "It's natural that I am not enough. He wishes to end the Finch bloodline and to do that he must eradicate all possibilities of an offspring." He said, looking back to where Farron was. "He said girl... he know's her gender." He said, letting out a cough before looking back to Kairn. "With me it would have been simple. I have no children and I am too old to bare the fruit of it. If Piper hadn't returned... none of this would have happened." Jorda shook his head, walking back into the forest towards Ansem.
"Perhaps Farron has something to fear..." He said, turning his head to look up at Kairn as they walked. "He mentioned Priscilla. He must have been trying to appeal to your better nature for some reason... Perhaps he doesn't know whether he can beat you... or better yet he knows he cannot." He said, scratching his chin as he walked on.

Kairn walked along quietly listening to Jorda while keeping his eyes peeled to the forest for signs of attack. His hand never left the hilt of his sword "Im sure he knew of her, i had a feeling he knew there was indeed another before i came back from the last meeting. This was either just for him to confirm it or was simply messing with us"
As Jorda began talking about Farron being afraid he shook his head "To be honest, him being afraid is worse, if he was overconfident he would slip up and make it easy to take him down. If he truly thinks he cannot win, that means he will come at things differently. He will be more underhanded, think things out far more cautiously and more than likely avoid direct conflict with me. My best guess is he will throw the strongest minions he has at me while he sneaks into town and does what he needs to, escaping before i can stop him. The problem will be, unless theres someone else strong enough to stop that threat, i will have to face it."
He sighs "The only thing i can do is try to set up defenses in town and try to teach the townsfolk to fight. Or i could forgo that and try to find others that can help. We wont have time to do both properly, unless we get really lucky it would wind up with low standard mercs that couldnt train the people enough to tell a zombie from a wight..."
