A small, sharp inhale was taken before thin fingers tapped upon the door. She knew she didn't need to knock, but it felt appropriate. Elyn stood awkwardly at the door before it was opened by Constance. There her mother stood with a canted head. Elyn never went to Constance to solve a problem... That was usually handled by Shelzi or Reign. But Elyn felt like everyone was slipping through her fingers and she needed to grab onto someone; anyone. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Without a single word, Constance tugged on Elyn's shoulder and dragged her inside, as if she were afraid that Elyn would change her mind and leave. "Sit," the old woman's voice commanded and Elyn did as she was told. "I'll make you some special tea."<o:p></o:p>

By the time tea rolled around, Elyn wasn’t sure why she was there at the apothecary shop. She glanced around at all the plants and wondered how her mother preferred to live inside of a garden instead of a home. Then again, Elyn lived above a training ground and a bar…. Who was she to judge?
“So…” Constance tried to cut the tension between them. “I think it’s safe to say that you look horrible.” When Constance promised to no longer keep secrets from her, this was not what Elyn had in mind. “There are rumors spreading about… but I…. Well, I didn’t know the details so I thought it was best to wait until you came to me. And seeing as how your man isn’t here with you…. Well…” She curled a finger under Elyn’s chin to lift her head. “What happened?”
“I meddled….”

Elyn absentmindedly watched the liquid in her cup swirl. The gears in her mind turned while the scent of peppermint flooded through her nostrils. The shop helped her think, despite the mess. Her mother had a decent life once again, working alongside her tutor who taught her the benefits of medicine. Sometimes she didn’t give her mother enough credit. Tyran had healers all around, but Constance knew how to heal people without the use of magic- instead she used the earth.
“Can this stuff really heal someone?” Elyn didn’t give her mother a chance to ask what she meant by ‘meddled’. She didn’t come to talk about the threat of New Arisalon, or Trent, or even Ardyn. “If Magic can’t work, does this?” She gestured to all the plants.
“I mean… It depends on the illness. Magic is a powerful source, but so is the earth. I’ll be honest though,” oh good, honesty again, “It’s usually used for more minor injuries or in places where magic isn’t common. We provide other uses than medicine here in New Arisalon, with all the healers.” They were also a much cheaper provider for those who could not afford the travel to a temple or a magical healer. “I don’t think it will help in the way you want it to.”
“Ack, what good are you?”

“Elyn…” There was a scolding tone that Elyn didn’t feel like her mother earned. But she said it at the right moment, just before Elyn was about to push herself away from the table and leave the shop. “I’m not here to fight with you. I want to help. In fact, I can try to give you some things to give to Ardyn, but I can’t make any promises. However, from what I hear, you haven’t even been in to see him yet.”
How on earth did her mother have any connections to People’s Palace? She knew that Constance was not some outcast of the Kaliba House these days. Even Reign helped her when he could. But Elyn felt betrayed by whoever thought that it was a good idea to update her mother on her current status.
“I have things to do,” her tone was level and calculated. Plans covered the emotion that lingered deep inside of her.

“I see…” Constance gave a small sigh before she began to rummage through the shop. Elyn simply watched, secretly enjoying the moment of watching the woman do her best. Elyn was more Kaliba when it came to looks, but when her mother was thinking, she wore a similar expression to her own. The sight caused the corner of Elyn’s lips to twitch. Coming to see her mother was not a mistake. “You can try these, but I can’t promise they’ll work. There’s some potions I’ve made in there, some creams too if he has any open wounds to try and seal them.. But if magic hasn’t worked on him, I….” She paused to take a long look at her broken daughter. “Well, I’ll continue to hope for the best.”
Elyn looked over the products, giving herself a moment to try and form the words that she needed to say. “I think you should get out of New Arisalon for a while. Head to Silem or the Raven Islands.” Slowly she dragged her feet a little closer towards Constance. “Take a vacation or something.” It was always best to leave her mother out of the affairs or war. So far Elyn got too many of her family and friends involved and she couldn’t afford to risk Constance as well.
Without any hesitation, Constance pulled her daughter into her arms. She held her as if she never wanted to let her go- perhaps take her with her to the cities that Elyn listed.

Elyn let her mother have this moment. In truth, she needed it too. Perhaps that’s why she found herself holding her mother in return, silently thanking her for her help. Even if it didn’t work, Elyn couldn’t say she never tried. Besides, she wanted her mother out of the city and this visit gave her an excuse to say it. All Constance needed to know what that her daughter meddled in something and now she was in trouble. The once inquisitor of light was now but a humble apothecary. She couldn’t physically help Elyn, so she would make sure that she would always be there for her daughter. That was the kind of thing Elyn needed right now.
Without another word, Elyn took the leather sack of items her mother fixed up for her and headed back to People’s Palace. She wasn’t sure what her next move was, mostly because her mother knew her despite the fact that Elyn liked to think otherwise. The door that separated her from Ardyn was a good safety blanket. With it closed, she didn’t need to see him and she could even pretend that she couldn’t feel him dying. Ardyn. Was. Dying.

[22:54] Kieran & Trent: Kieran looked up at his 'governess' and with a straight face, he asked her the following. " Can you poof?" He asked, before scratching the tip of his nose. Damnit. That wasn't what he meant. " Teleport? Shimmer? Whatever it's called." He said as he adjusted the book satchel on his back. [22:57] Morana Vargo & Irynth: Irynth gave her small but mighty Master an odd look at first. Poof? "Oh...teleport. Yes. That I can do." She laid a slender hand on his shoulder. "Where is it you'd like to go? Unless they have it warded against such things, I will be happy to take you."
[23:00] Kieran & Trent: Secretly, he liked calling it Poof. But at the same time- this was from the girl who called him Kier-Bear, which He did not like. Well. much.
" The People's Palace in New Arisalon. Close as we can get, to Elyn Kaliba. " He said as he reached up and took her hand. Being grounded from Grace meant he couldn't get her to poof him. But this could be educational. Besides he had decided who his first project would be. [23:03] Morana Vargo & Irynth: Irynth accepted with a simple nod, then teleported them both as close to his target as she could manage. She adjusted her appearance while they walked, going from blonde, brickhouse bombshell to scarlet headed seductress in a matter of moments. Why? Well...Kieran had given her a target the night before and the man really, really liked redheads. "This was as close as I could get us, but the woman shouldn't be far."

[23:06] Sapphire & Elyn: Elyn was certain she told her feet to move forward and open the door, but the reality of the situation was that her back was pressed up against the cold stone of the opposite wall. Fingers were white from holding the bag too tight as she stared at the door. She couldn't fail Ardyn too, could she?

[23:09] Kieran & Trent: Kieran nodded towards Morana, his lips curled up with a pleasant smile. " Yes, he'd like that a lot I think." He said walking in the direction of the dying Ardyn's room, and his cousin- Elyn. Kieran walked with purpose, and for once resisted the temptation of making mischief. While this was the first time he had been in the People's Palace for a while, he had recall of the directions. He was dressed in a pressed white jacket over a rich violet shirt with silver trim at the sleeves. His trousers were a light grey, tucked into black boots. The child was dressed like a young prince, the tousled mane of platinum blonde obscuring most of his black horns that rose from his head. Today, his eyes were the most stunning shade of violet, one might have thought him a Vargo. His stare, deep and dark locked on Elyn, and his lips curled in a smile as he walked hand in hand with his nanny. " Hi, Elyn. I'm Kieran." [23:15] Morana Vargo & Irynth: Irynth smiled down at Kieran, proud of his expression and perhaps gaining an inkling of what her Master was after. She squeezed his hand, then graced Elyn with a warm and friendly, "Good evening, Mistress Elyn. I am Irynth, Kieran's governess. He wanted very much to meet you this evening." Since this was Kieran's show, Irynth kept her natural, sultry purr turned down to something closer to human normal.

[23:18] Sapphire & Elyn: Kieran's small voice broke her from her moment of fear. Then came his aura, which was strong enough to make Elyn take a few steps back. Not because she feared him, but because of the current state of her mind. She sort of stared between him and the succubus, blinking in confusion. "Hello, Kieran." She knew the name. Her cousin she had yet to meet finally sought her out. At a time like this? Why? "And to you, Irynth." Her tone was level, not exactly hostile, but she also lacked any sort of kindness these days. "How come you chose this evening to meet me, Kieran?" She had planned on attending the wedding, after all.

[23:23] Kieran Kaliba: " You are family. Is it not custom to seek those in need, when they are family?" He asked, his head canted to the left regarding her form. She was tired. Frightened. Defensive. She was dangerous now, and she would be dangerous then. Grace had seen it. And he had plucked it from those dreams as she shared his bed on those many sleepovers. His Father didn't know how the story ended. But Kieran did. He could see the spreading of those seeds- could see one of them growing in her, she was not unlike him. Just....diminished, by Reign's resistance. Loss had turned Trent into what he was. What would it do to poor Elyn? " No one else is lining up to help- though the herbs..." he took a long draw through the air. "They'll make him comfortable, I think." It was odd to hear such words come from someone who looked no more than twelve. In Elyn was ambition. Unbridaled. He could feel it. A desire to do such much more. A kind of....greed. A pride. A fear that she could be overlooked. All of those feelings might've been written on her forehead. But the child did not speak to them. He didn't have to. " Let our fathers play chess with lives and such. I'm not that kind of person. Neither are you. You know what is behind that door. " [23:27] Morana Vargo & Irynth: Irynth watched, observing, giving Kieran's hand an encouraging squeeze before letting him go. Elyn was wary of her, so she took a step aside, drawing her aura into herself so as not to intrude upon what Kieran was doing. She looked at Elyn with sympathetic understanding.

[23:31] Sapphire & Elyn: Admittedly, Elyn didn't like Kieran's words. She plucked out the ones she hated the most: need, help, comfortable.... It was obvious that Kieran knew things that remained inside her head. Still, her lips pulled into a soft smile and she placed her hand on his shoulder. "Thank you." A sudden stillness fell over her mind. It was similar to calm, but it lacked any warmth. Inside her soul was the quiet moments before the storm... and when it came, it would leave no one alive. Elyn didn't know that much yet, which was why she was trying so hard to help Ardyn. She glanced down at the bag sheepishly. "You seem to know a lot for someone so small." She glanced back up at the door, tiptoeing her way towards it. "Behind here is my greatest fear and weakness...." She reached out for the handle before turning to look back at the two of them. Kieran was family, she trusted him and in turn trusted Irynth. "While our father's play chess, will you help me?"

[23:40] Kieran Kaliba: " You see what is important. " The young lad said as he approached the door with her, standing side by side. " That's why, you and I will accomplish much together." He said as he put his hand at his cousin's back and gave her the slightest nudge towards the door. His touch was electric. Stimulating something within her, something dark- something neglected even by Ardyn who simply mirrored her many neuroses, her many wants and dreams. The poor woman had fell in love with something 'approximating' humanity. A form meant to host Genesis Letlove, or Arc Kaliba- an extra body that didn't seem to know that was all he was. Now that magical creature, was dying. And due to the nature of that creature... all he could do was die- his body failed more each day, unable to grasp enough magic to sustain itself, and draining any attempt at healing before the body could be repaired. It was sad. Sure. But it could've been worse. She could've tried to bare it's children. She could've found out just how little of a soul the creature had. This was a mercy really.
Sure. They could save the body. His Father had already found a way. The Method was detailed in one of his books, books he'd draw out of the satchel once Elyn did the hard work of opening the door. But, Ardyn wouldn't remember a thing. His identity might've been the first thing to go- right before his liver function. But Ardyn could be something...sure. Saving the body required some mythic level magic to jumpstart the system- or a return to the chamber which had housed him. Long since destroyed on the Raven Islands. He had another way to do this- a miracle worth working. Fool people, they thought only the Light dealt in Miracles.
The Dark had gifts as well. They just had a tendency of costing a good bit more.

[23:44] Irynth: All the while Irynth watched, and after a moment she addressed Elyn herself. "Kieran is not a normal child. But neither were you...or any of those who share your line. It is a heavy burden, but one he understands better than most. I hope you let him help you." Nothing the boy said was wrong. The succubus implored Elyn to take heed of what was being offered with gentle, kind eyes and a subtle nod, meant to be as encouraging as the squeeze of Kieran's hand. [23:52] Elyn Kaliba: What was important now was to come to accepting Ardyn's fate. She could try, of course, to help him get back to who he was, but some part of her, which only grew at Kieran's touch, knew he would not survive. What was most important was saying goodbye. Irynth said the words that Elyn was thinking... Kieran was not a normal child. Why else would Trent leave in such haste? She suddenly understood why Trent did what he did. Irynth gave her the courage to push forward. She twisted the knob and the door flew open, showing a body surrounded by all the magic the healers could muster. Elyn knew that keeping Ardyn here fighting for what could be called his life was wasting all their energy. "Leave us," she commanded in a small tone. The four healers were quick to gather their things before exiting the room with a bow of their head to Elyn. They gave a worried look to the boy and his demon before shuffling through the hall. Her steps were small and slow, glaring down at the ugly state of Ardyn. Deep down, Elyn knew... She wasn't drawn to a man, she was drawn to his aether. She pulled out the items one by one, placing them on the table beside her. First she used the moss salve that words to cover all the holes in his body that refused to sew back up. Her hands shook as they spread it over his skin. "You said it would make him comfortable...." She didn't look up from her work. "How much longer do I have left?"

[23:58] Kieran Kaliba: The boy shrugged. How could he know that? Healing was not his forte. But the magic? He got that. "Depending on a host of variables, my father suspects he has weeks. I have a method for you.." he removed one book and opened it at the edge of the bed the man laid upon. " It will restart his body more or less, let the magic heal it, " he paused. " Him." Whether it was a slip would enver be known, but that subtle slip of the tongue showed his teacher he had been practicing. " I am afraid there is nothing left of him in that method however. Ardyn's memories will be gone. His personality will not survive the transition. I can't even be sure he'll look the same. " The words were written in Trent' s hand. He had stolen one of his father's spell books. One specifically written with this case in mind, but also holding magical secrets far beyond the norm. " I have another way however." [00:01] Irynth: Irynth followed, silently sympathetic, uncharacteristically grave as the current situation demanded. There would be no easy decisions here, but Kieran was making a valiant effort. She was very proud. The succubus drifted to a corner, a supportive presence without adding further, unnecessary, words. Whatever happened would be between the two of them.

[00:04] Elyn Kaliba: Even as she leaned forward to press her lips against' Ardyn's, she did not miss Kieran say 'it'. She smiled darkly while she leaned over Ardyn. Elyn was silent for some time after Kieran began to offer her another solution. She knew what path she would take, but she gave herself time to be with the 'man' she loved for a moment longer. When that moment was done, Elyn pulled herself back, up and away from the body in a fluid graceful movement. Fingers tossed the silver strands from her face as she turned towards Kieran. The smile had yet to face from her lips. "Okay, cousin. Let's begin." There was a sort of blind trust with Kieran, which Elyn wasn't certain where it came from, but she knew that it would help the two of them so she followed it.

[00:09] Kieran Kaliba: " Elyn, this body is anchored to a plane- but does not have a soul. The magical wards upon it fail, and currently- anything could inhabit it. Anything that isn't supposed to be here." He drew from his satchel an athame. " I didn't want to say this, but I think this is an opportunity for you. Something long since held from you." He said as balanced the ritual dagger in his hand. " I need little from you. A lock of hair. Some blood." He closed the book he ofered, and opened another- the tome was large, and in it were spells written in red 'ink', on yellow parchment. It was bound in blackest leather, studded with brass rivets. " Just like your Father, you were supposed to have a piece of that which joins us even now. In you, that piece cannot be. On this plane, it is barred- but in this" he gestured to the body... " Tell me you don't miss it.....The feeling of safety. The sensations, so deep. Something, no....Iron Lord, no void, could ever take away. "
" I wish I could feel what you two felt. I wish I could say you'll feel it again. " He said this truth, or rather this fact, despite the lack of sentimentality in his violet stare. " But what I offer you, is not so fleeting." And with that he offered her the dagger. " It will be so much more than... Cute."

[00:23] Elyn Kaliba: That was nice... He didn't want to say it? To save her feelings from being hurt? Everyone else already did that by keeping Ardyn's life a secret from her. Maybe they didn't know at the beginning, but the moment Ardyn began to die, they refused to let her in on his place in the world. Even Trent... She wanted to give them all the benefit of not having the time to, but Elyn didn't care for their excuses. She watched Kieran prepare his little ritual, nearly giving a low chuckle at how ready he was to give her this gift. She wasn't sure she could call it that just yet, but maybe it time she would come to accept it. But Kieran knew her so well... Felt what she longed for more than anything. She snuck a glance at the demon in the corner, wondering if Irynth knew how crazy this whole plan was. She only hesitated a moment before taking the blade. No one could take this away from her... no on would hurt her ever again. It was more than just romantic love she felt for the body of Ardyn. He was her everything... He gave her power, fed her dreams, and did indeed show her what it was like to be in love. Elyn reached up to cut at a lock of her hair, placing it on the table for Kieran to use how he'd like. Then she took the blade to the palm of her hand, dragging it across her pale flesh and watching the red ooze pool in her palm. "If you need more, let me know." She was ready to sacrifice everything for the power that Kieran offered her.

[00:28] Kieran Kaliba: Of coruse she was. She was Elyn. She wanted that which Lilwen strived for. She wanted that which the twins were born of. But Reign had kept her power locked away. Reign had done in his wisdom, what Arc had done in folly. He had limited his offspring. All those big bad people. Afraid of the dark. Outside, the cawing of a murder of crows could be heard. He cut his own hand with another blade, a few drops put on the body's forehead, then over it's chest. He then twisted the lock of her hair in a oddly meticulous braid which he placed over the smear of blood on his chest. His blood acted as a reagent, as a way to give a proper bridge. The Black was not within her. No. But it thirsted for the child denied it. Reign's magic and sacrifice couldn't be broken, not with any type of magic. But Asmodai rested in the beyond. A vestige, shattered, and without form- until now. He took the blood of Elyn and began to draw sigils upon the weakened flesh of Ardyn's body. " Repeat after me. " " Ecce video voluntatem dæmonia, et sanitates " He began the incantation. Meanwhile, Arc played with Grace. Rosewyn baked cookies. All of it according to plan. It was important Elyn said the next part, so he said it low, so she could hear it and proclaim it herself. " Ego Elyn propera et detestare pater in vicibus suis. Et sanguis sanguinem vocat. "
[00:29] Irynth: Irynth gave Elyn a small smile. She knew. But such grand steps were not for the weak hearted, and the nod that followed was a silent conveyer that she, regardless of just meeting the woman, did not believe Elyn was weak. Kieran would never bother with her if she were.

[00:39] Irynth: In her chosen corner, the succubus closed her eyes, quietly sucking in a breath as the dark magic gathered within the room. A shiver rippled down her spine, her fingers twitching at her sides. Her demonic nature had her purring on the inside, her own darkly sensuous aura rising to greet the rising power like a needy cat, rubbing itself against its Master's legs.
[00:41] Elyn Kaliba: Elyn took in a short breath, watching Kieran work... She didn't need to say much, for she was already prepared to do what it took. Not for the Ardyn she once loved, but for justice and power. Elyn understood that Kieran was giving the body a new purpose while everyone else was trying to save what could not be saved. That or they were off picking sides. Elyn never intended on picking a side, she would carve her own path. "Ecce video voluntatem dæmonia, et sanitates," Her voice was low and gentle as she spoke, watching Ardyn 'sleep'. In between her lines, she said her silent goodbyes. She would miss him, of course, but it was time to move on. Thanks for your body, babe. "Ego Elyn propera et detestare pater in vicibus suis. Et sanguis sanguinem vocat."

[00:53] Kieran Kaliba: In this moment, there could be no denial that demons were never 'children. ' This child bound a spirit of darkness to this body, a spirit that Shelzi herself had once banished. Asmodai. The veins of the body grew black as he proceeded. The muscles twitched and spasmed- but wounds closed. Magic began to flow once more through the young body. It would change, as needed- sure. But she was given finally, the friend she was always supposed to have. And while close to him, the darkness flowed through her as an endless font. The young lad, younger than twelve, though having the body of such- looked to the body no longer innert but speaking, and finally said the final piece. " Ashemedee, Asmodai, Prince of Revenge, King of Lust- Lord of Games. This body is yours, but you- are hers." And as such, the binding was complete, the transition done. A tool, once thought to be an 'extra chance' for men who thought themselves gods- was now the ticket for a dark force long forgotten.
Steam rose from skin that felt hot, but did not burn. Bandages caught flame and burned away. Scars disappeared, and healthy pallor returned. The wards in the room strained as demonic energy filled the place in a sudden flood before receding back into the host body. [01:00] Irynth: Irynth smiled, eyes still closed, inwardly gleeful and almost giddy with the true twist her charge had achieved. It was a moment of layers. Old wrongs made right, chaos inserted to disrupt such carefully laid plans. When Kieran reached full maturity, there would be little that could stand in his way, and less that could who would even dare. The Goddess would be so pleased.

[01:03] Elyn Kaliba: Lashes fluttered against her cheek as her head lulled back. She felt the power in the room grow, and Elyn drank it all in. She was nothing like Kieran, at least not without humanity. She was not like the the ones that made people quiver in fear. However, she could feel all of that power and manipulate it how she needed. Light, darkness, the elements... they were no difference to Elyn. There was no light or dark to her, she would not be in some moral dilemma... She groaned as the power grew, feeling her head fall forward to watch the shift of who she once knew to be Ardyn. There was a tug in the back of her mind as their connection was secured. Kieran gave her a git she would never forget. All this time Constance, Reign, and even Shelzi tried to protect Elyn, but she didn't need it. This was proof enough. "Mine," her tone possessive over the creature before her. Something in the back of her mind asked her what her family would think of her, but Elyn shrugged it off.

[01:06] Kieran Kaliba: Yes. Mine. The body began to raise, an arm up to wipe the eyes. Kieran looked to Elyn. " Feed him. Bath him. Take care of him. The effort of being born into this world is a strain. Go with him to the Temple of Evil- and there see if they will allow you to spend the night." He looked to Irynth. " When he has recovered, visit me. " he said obviously to Elyn, before taking his governess' hand. " It's past my bed time." 01:11] Irynth: Irynth fondly stroked a hand through Kieran's hair as she took his hand. "You've worked wonders this evening." She looked up, meeting Elyn's eyes momentarily. "As have you, Mistress Kaliba. I look forward to paths crossing again." After a polite nod farewell, the succubus calmly led her small Master from the room, the pair of them teleporting as soon as they were able. He was right, it was past his bedtime, and even young demons needed their rest. Besides, she'd promised to tuck him into bed. Their first lesson was completed, and her student had passed with flying colors.

[01:15] Kieran Kaliba: " Ash " felt his new body, and the magic that surged within. Magic he could provide as an endless resource. He didn't like the hair, too fair colored. But he'd need to get used to it until he could change it. He bowed at the young man's departure, a hungry stare moving from the succubus to the mortal in front of him. Ah. Elyn. She was the one he had watched. The one who was supposed to bear him into this world. Luckily, Trent had been so deceived. Legions of demonic sentient creatures...slain. The Black, perfected- but without any of his kin or ilk. It had worked well enough. It had been his idea to make sure Trent lost sweet, Sylvie- been the last thing he was able to do before that bitch Shelzi got rid of him. But now, he had this body. No host. No bullshit. All thanks to the Prince. He'd send a fruitbasket. His lips were wet with the slip of his tongue from one side to the other. "She's right, Elyn. You worked miracles." His voice was a bit deeper than the body had before, smooth and silky tones that felt wonderful on the ears.

[01:19] Elyn Kaliba: Elyn remembered what people said about Trent. How for the people he loved, he would do great and terrible things. She certainly owed Lilwen an apology... For now though, she had a new mission. Get him out of there before it was too late and leave no trace behind. "Thank you...." She knew Kieran wanted this and Elyn just happened to be someone who could help him with that, but she also knew that Kieran wasn't creating these thoughts and emotions, he was only bringing them to the surface. So of course, she had to thank him and Irynth for bringing him there and setting it all in motion. "Good night, young Kieran...." Ash's voice took her by surprise, but she would come around. She had to remind herself to throw out the shell that was Ardyn. This was not him... she said her goodbyes to him; mourned him for those few moments before sacrificing his body for the 'greater good'. "No time for talking." As if nothing big had just happened, Elyn set to work in creating a portal that would take them to the temple of Evil... Where a the seductive goddess was waiting with glee. Kieran and Irynth would feel just how proud the goddess was... all of hell did.

[01:24] Kieran Kaliba: He chuckled as he moved to follow. With him, came every trace of his demonic energy. Lies were his forte, not as good as Belial, but still- a demon of his rank didn't have to leave signs of his presence if he didn't want to. Ash was obedient to a point, but smirked at Elyn's sudden determination. It suited her, sure. But he'd have her gasping and groaning out some relaxation soon enough. Least he could do. Stepping into the Temple of Evil- he instantly felt more himself. The hellfire that leapt from the floor, didn't even singe the stone- but it flowed into him giving him more and more of his original power. "oooooooooh. I like the new lady in charge." He said half in remark of his surroundings and the flowing of darkness that rejuvenated more than body, but the amalgamation of spiritual energy that created the nexus of his being. " Tessa. I like it. Understated. Sexy. " Ash said, leaning against a pillar as he watched Elyn move deeper into the temple.

[01:37] Elyn Kaliba: The moment they entered the temple, Tessa greeted Ash like an old friend. "My little protégé never fails me." She purred at the sight of the two of them. "Welcome home." Oh how the lot of them deserved for it to be Elyn and Kieran to bring him back. If she was capable of pity, she might have given it to them. "Welcome, Miss Kaliba." Elyn was never one she expected to see there... She didn't belong, persay, but she wasn't of the light either. It was interesting. Elyn gave Ash a sideways glance, content in seeing him adjust as the goddess greeted them. She preferred to put her faith into her own magic over a god, but Elyn could at least respect the woman. "We seek sanctuary here, for the time being. If that is okay with you, Lady Grey." She bowed her head, not yet ready to take down the mask. Tessa pondered a moment, looking over Elyn, then smirking towards Ash. "Of course... Allow one of the imps to guide you to a free room where you both may rest. You are safe here," she curled a finger under Elyn's chin, whispering into her ear. "None of them can take him away from you now." She giggled before fading into nothing but grey smoke.

01:51] Ash: Kieran changed for bed, gave his nanny a peck on the cheek and went to sleep- if he was lucky they made it with time to spare. No doubt Sapphire's return would've made his parents take some time to 'sort it out' IE, leave him alone while they enjoyed their special brand of monogamy.
Funny how that involved other people sometimes.
Ash nodded to the Goddess, giving her a wave of his fingers. " Come, lovely." He said over his shoulder to Elyn as he fell in step behind an imp, the room was well appointed. Tessa had so much taste! He'd fancied her when his old meat bag, Reign met her in the old days. She was something else. A good host for the Prime Darkness. She'd whip this world into shape, that was for sure.
Any other god of darkness would've been intimidated, threatened by great demons- much less, the Prince. She was wise and far sighted. She was the perfect goddess for the time. He almost pitied whomever was seated on the opposite side. He resisted the urge to plop onto the bed, the gown he was wearing already open from the incantations.
The tub was already filled with water. Perfect. " So, Elyn- I can call you that right? I'm Ash. Don't usually go by that, but well. It suits me here."

02:03] Elyn Kaliba: Elyn wondered if this was how she was supposed to feel. A surge of power running through her where emotions once overwhelmed. She was not pleased with how they left things- Elyn was supposed to go with Verity to warn Laelia about the Iron Lord, but now... now she could do better. She walked with her chin held higher.
She couldn't deny the fact that the temple was beautiful. It gave off an energy she wasn't used to, but it wasn't horrible. Perhaps the décor helped. Either way, she was thankful that Ash could rest in peace without anyone from People's Palace stumbling in on them.
"You may call me that." She began in an even tone. "Ash works..." She felt awkward, glancing down at the ring on her finger. Should she remove it? "I have to give my cousin credit... He knew when to play this card." She laughed, a quiet sound that was more so just for her to hear. Careful steps were made towards him, reaching up to touch at the filthy strands of white hair. "I don't want you to look like him..... It... whatever."

[02:09] Ash: Ash nodded. " I can understand that. Reminds you of other times. " He said as he stepped into the bath and soon sank under the water in the deep brass tub. The water, already hot began to bubble, and steam began to rise. A moment later he came up, not entirely clean- because a part of him wanted her touch, but definitely looking different.
His hair was dark, black as night- but somehow with a sheen in the candlelight. His eyes locked on her own, and his lips curled up in a devilish smile. " Is this better? Still working out the kinks." He said in a tone that was loaded with innuendo. His chest was a bit broader, his shoulders as well.
Tall, dark. Handsome. It was classic. And he wore it like another would wear a shirt.
