Ronnie sighs, "I wonder what we will find there, perhaps we will be able to learn about the culture of these elves that was able to construct or obtain such a useful item, well no time like the present. Ronnie turns around and heads for the exit. He keeps his guard up just in case.

Melody leans up against Ronnie by the fire untill she begins to get tired and then takes him to the tent with her. And keep him busy untill late into the night The next morning she would gook breakfast and help get everything packed back up. It was short trip to down through the pixie forests and down the mountain to the old slave camp. From here on out the map maker Ronnie and and the driver would have to figure out how to the old map.compared with the map of tyran they had. And lead the way .

The Map maker speak up, "Hmm, we are got a major decision which path to take, both path can get us there, one sooner, one later, one more tedious than the other, and one more dangerous than the other." He shakes his head as he reviews the map of the area as he processes the choice they would have to make at the cross road.

Ronnie decided to just remain quiet as Melody asked the right questions. The map maker says, "One path takes us through a wasteland, but if we make it past the wasteland, which isn't super vast looking, then we will arrive at the ruins, so basically it will be just a couple of hours if that away, the dangerous part is both that the wasteland the home of countless ghouls and Zombies, and the area has an eerie mist that drains the power of people containing light power, not just their energy, but stamina, which is one of the real problems. The tedious path will take us through a longer path that will probable take two or three days to get there, but we will have to go through a forest with goblins that are more annoying than super dangerous, then through a mountain containing a maze, I mean the map does have some directions, so navigating through it probable won't be too bad, but there is no telling what is in there, well could go around the mountain, but that would probable extend the time to about a week or so. After that the other side to ruins isn't far after walking about an hour or so of plains, with no known dangers in that area. Then again who knows what we will find when we get to the elven ruins. It would be easy if we have Shrick, traveling by air would make it super quick and max safe."

She listened carefully to all their options. Regarding each one " well a wasteland with countless zombies and ghouls who drain stamina and power from lightworkers, doesn't seem like a good place to go..because you need light and stamina both to fight them. "
" going through a maze whether we have Shreck or not..is also dangerous especially if it run by benign tricky goblins. I mean we just got lost in a forest of tricksters... So who is to say they couldn't trick shreck as well and cloud the maze from him.
" Around the mountain, seems the logical choice, even if it extends the journey.Our water supplies are full, and or rations are good shape. "

The map maker sighs, "Well if Shrick was here, you know we could just fly over the misty area and straight there, he could also fly over the mountain and he is fast, so we probable wouldn't have to deal with any of the creatures, but I guess that is a mute point because he isn't here." Ronnie sighs and then listens to Melody recommendation of taking the longest path as it sounds like the safest path. Ronnie takes a few moments to add in his cents, "I agree with we should take the longer route, that place is dangerous and with you and our driver having no battle experience, it will be unnecessary dangerous to go through an area with guaranteed known dangers lurking and posssibly some unknown dangers. Unfortunately Shrick isn't reachable at this point, so yes it is a mute point. I wonder though about the mountain cave, do you think that person you heard about went through that path, I wonder if anything is in there of value, mountain caves often have possible ores and such that could prove useful in the future. I suppose though traveling in this caravan would pose that problem though as it will be dangerous if something happened inside and we would have to leave the rider and the horses behind. Sounds like Melody plan is the best plan, even though I don't like the idea of it taking longer, that means our greatest obstacle will be dealing with these goblins.

One they are distracted by shiny things..two you lay out a false treasure map. That points away from.where we are going...or three you make them think that we are not worth the trouble or time "

We have food and drinking supplies, so that alone would lure them to us if we cross their territory, so I guess as long as we keep our guard up, we should be fine and not dawdle in the main forest section too long. Do we even have any throwaway maps to be used as bait as a treasure map if we need to.

It soon let out a roar that could be heard in the distance, it seems to be causing a ruckus deep in the forest." Ronnie jumps out of the caravan, "Where the heck did that come from, that is definetely not a dwarf....."

One gift about not being able to read, which melody could now..but only thanks to Ronnie and even then she was only up to maybe 6th grade now. Becausenwell she was older and she had to have child and move and from place to place for a lot of years.
Anyway the gift was..you learned to memorize what you could in a short am out of time melody has looked over the maps carefully when they were deciding where to go she knew the path they had to take..
And yes she ran over those goblins like they were bugs. She was gonna outrun the war between the goblins and the orcs.

Ronnie couldn't help but feel a curiosity or something pulling, there was something off and familiar about what was occurring, "Hmm, something is telling me I am going to regret not investigating this matter...." Ronnie had little time to focus, because like the map maker he had to find stable ground as Melody was driving like a road rage maniac, probable until they made it to maze area that would either force her to slow down or run right through bushes. some with some thorns in them.

The map maker and the driver are the first the eat. Ronnie takes a couple bites of fruit and speaks, "Hmm, if we take here, we can get out of this exit and that will have us closest to the mountain area, should cut our time from over a week to make four or five days, especially considering we aren't heading to the route of the cave opening, I could clear out some of the obstacles that would normally hinder that route."

She was being very observant. She never took Ronnie's gut feelings, lightly he was a very intuative person. She was however still enjoy g the scenery and the day. It was almost two perfect .

So she took a deep breath opened her mind and tried to see of she catch the same feeling as Ronnie. after a few moments she let out a hmmm sound " yes I feel it .. it doesnt feel chaotic maybe a lawful evil , but it certainly doesnt feel friendly ."

She Al's breathed a sigh of relief " should qe make camp to hunt for supper or woukd you rather we travel farther . And eat from the rations?" She was fine either way . They had enough they could make it to their destination and back home again . But fresh meat was also nice.
She suspected he woukd want to keep going . As she looke forward she coukd see where the trees woukd become more dence signifying they were entering and elder wood .
