Alexandra sat on a stump. Just like yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that. How long has it been? Days? Weeks? Months? Years? Centuries? Time has become lost to her. The only movement was her chest rising and falling with each breath. Long silver hair danced in the wind. She sat with perfect poise. Back straight. Legs crossed at the ankles on the ground. Hands clasped in her lap. She wore a black dress, hugging her slender form. The garment coming to rest just below her knees. Sleeves ending at her elbows. Gentle eyelids remained closed.
Some would mistake her as a statue. But she was far from it. Alexandra plant life had grown onto her form. Vines wrapped around her. Flowers snaking over as well. Tales about a silver haired woman sitting on a stump for countless years must have made their circuit. Known as The Living Statue. Animals that could do harm, steared clear from her. Smaller animals like rabbits and such did not fear her. Butterflies stop to sip at the flowers that blossomed around her form. Yet, she did not awaken. Sleep was only a light word with her. She was far from it. She could feel the vibrations of the air, ground and all the like.
She knew who and what was around her well before they knew they were close. Many tried to awaken her from this repose, but all have failed. Many wondered why she sat there after year after year. That was the question. And, for now, there was no answer.

He had arrived at thination.e stump, the one whispered about in the legends. He picked up a scroll that someone of no worth, certainly no fame, had written about the silent beauty that rests upon the wood. Living creature, or elaborate trick played a master sculptor? Perhaps a cursed soul left by a deal gone wrong with someone in the Underdark, or perhaps the victim of mage? Maybe she was cursed by the gods themselves? No one knew.
Still, he read the scroll, an it hinted at her beauty, and her silence. The secrets she had kept within, and what knowledge or treasures she must hold. It was enough to intrigue him, he even did some research on the author. A simple man, who succumbed much too young due to his love of alcohol, gambling, and women. A deadly combination. He listened to the tales, and followed the rumors to this very spot. He saw the stump, but he did not see the girl. From the description he had memorized, he thought it might have been that young beauty that had interloped by one of his safe places, and attacked Amika. So he figured it was as good of a spot as any to find her once again.
He was properly dressed, and well kept this time. Looking like a man close to his actual status. Fine black linen trouser, neatly pressed, long black tunic, and a thick, comfortable black hooded robe to cover it all. All, once again, neatly pressed. Around his waist was an emerald green silken sash, and clipped to said sash in a fine jeweled gold sheath, was a kukri blade. He knelt before the stump, closed his eyes, and waited....

Mykal would have waited a while longer yet. Butterflies fluttered about him, unafraid. He might have even seen a hare or two hop by. After a while, a figure appeared sitting upon the stump, translucent at first then grew more solid. It was Alexandra. Sitting there, perfect posture. He might have gotten a hint on this was the way most have spotted her before in the legends. Her hands resting peacefully in her lap. Eyes closed.
A monarch butterfly fluttered around and landed on her temple. Fluttering its wings and resembling much like a hair clip of some sort. From looks, she seemed to not be breathing, but looks could be deceiving. Ivy that seemed to be alive, began to curl around her form. Twisting around her legs and arms as she sat there. She wore a long white dress, almost etherial. She seemed much like her legend. A Living Statue.
After a moment or two of her appearing her eyes opened. Ruby eyes glanced around and found him with ease beside her. "You do not belong here.." her voice spoke softly and with much authority. A voice of someone who held power. "What is your purpose of finding me here in my space, Mykal." she spoke his name. She remembered his name when he introduced himself, but she didn't return the favor with her name. Ruby hues peered at him with neither softness nor hardness. More of a curiosity as the butterfly in her hair took off and flitted with its brethren.
He would sense great power from her. Something that has been stored away for eons. A timeless magic held about her. But he would not be able to tell what and who she was by just probing with his abilities. There was a hint of a necklace that was hidden under her dress. Disappearing within the fabric. The dress was of older style. And it was not provocative at all. The neckline swooped softly just under her collarbone. Hugging to her form lightly around the ribs and flaring out shortly after. The sleeves were about three quarter of they way long, ending at her elbows which left the remainder of her arms bare. Her ivory skin nearly blended in with the color of her dress. But if Mykal looked at the fabric, he would see that it was not only just white. It seemed to have many hues within it. Constantly changing, perhaps.
She sat and waited with utter calmness for his answer. The glen was peaceful. Nature seemed to not worry about them as they felt safe. It was a safe haven they knew. It seemed to be a safe haven to all.

The barest hint of a smile played on his lips, as he sensed a presence had returned. It was no gift bequeathed to him by his abilities, it was just a simple sensation. The hairs on his neck rose, as did those on his arms. He allowed the smile to grow, when she spoke. Her voice calm, and melodic, yet confident in the fact that she was somewhere where she felt absolutely confident, and absolute in her authority. Whatever that may be. It reminded him of Queen Vivianna and her Glade. That fact alone forced him to smile, but he quickly forced that emotion back deep into the deepest part of himself, he could not go there again.
Instead, he opened his eyes, and glanced upon her, she was a vision, and certainly reminded him of the fae. He feelings would try to rise once more, but he caught them, and fought them down just as he did the beast within whenever it too started to rise. Giving in to either would cause nothing but destruction.
"I go where I please, as any other citizen in this great realm. Why do I not belong here? And my purpose... simple curiosity."
He slowly raised his hands, after glancing about nothing the wildlife going to and fro, most stopping to peer at him with the same curiosity he had shown to the young woman. His gaze then fell back to that of the young woman, the ruby eyes did not phase him. He had met creatures of every sort here in this land, and others, he did find them intriguing however. His right hand dipped within his robes and he withdrew the scroll, and rose just enough to place it neatly at her feet. He then settled back in his previous positon, and calmly placed his hands, palms down, on his knees and simply stared into her eyes.
"This brought me here... the authors description reminded me of you. So I came to investigate."

She listened to his words. She did not interrupt or offer any emotion. As he placed the scroll at her feet, she gently bent to pick it up. She held it in her hands and read the words which made a soft smile appear upon her features. "I think I remember this man. He came to visit this glen many a times. He seemed....fascinated...as all seem to be." she rolled up the paper and held it in her lap as she looked down to him. He sat before like a servant would, and it brought a smile to her. He knew to show her respect, which was a good thing. She lifted up a hand and brought forth a stump like chair before her. Opposite of her. "Please....sit. I'm sure you would like something to refresh yourself?" Another wave and a floating table top with what seemed to be tea kettle and two cups. Along with finger food. She reached out and poured him a cup. But it wasn't tea, it was blood.
Some how she knew what he was.
