There was much that was happening in Tyran and much had changed since the formation of the Shadow Walkers. Instead of a pantheon of many gods it seemed the land now split themselves between two, good and evil. It may have had some form of balance, but it was a dangerous one that would result in many wars and many deaths, it could lead to devastation across Tyran. Tyran had already been through enough, the lands twisted in time by would be gods and towns moved, uprooted, forced to find new homes. Wulv was sent to a dark place, a very dark place, though they kept an eye on the land and an ear out for what changes occurred it wore at their soul. It was in this dark place of abandoned faith, of lost perspective, of only conviction that lead them to a meditative state. It was in this state they started to find their answer. They had always talked of balance, but it was almost a second to their desire for power. Yet Balance had many aspects, many views, and if it was not put at the forefront that is when you got the disasters of the current era. It was time for the Shadow Walkers to move once again. But they needed a change, not a change of leadership, but a change of perspective, of message, or conviction. Wulv stroked their two moon (Ying Yang) symbol on their arm and gave a whisper to the winds to call the SW to them once more. Hotaru had already began work on a new headquarter for them, the statue that once stood there had been eradicated, nay transformed into a scale that stood tall casting its shadow along the length of the room, the floor still the checkered pattern of black and white tile, but the walls, the walls were blank for the time being save for a rose grown from a bramble of thorns, it represented many things; a battle against a corrupt being that took the form of their leader, beauty from adversity, good with bad. Wulv gave whisper to their crew of misfits and oddities. ~It is time to discuss our future and that of Tyran. A morphed shadow moved across the ground at rapid speed, stopping in front of Wulv. It began to pull itself out of the ground until it took the shape of a man. Slowly it faded away into nothing and Orias was there with a cocky grin on his face.
"When you're a shadow demon, you always walk among the shadows." She challenged his leader with slight affection in his tone. The relationship between the two of them rather awkward, but Orias remained surprisingly loyal.
"What is it you wish to do?"

Sune had been at Wulv's side for a long time now. Their children were growing and their personalities were starting to form and the two were in talks about having more. Sune arrived only moments after Orias and would try to hug Orias before going over to wulv and kissing them deeply, perhaps asa means of showing he had claim over Wulv. Not that he had not shared Wulv with others, but normally that was done with permission and he didn't know of Orias and wulv's intimate moment as of yet.
"What is the plan my mate?" he asked, smiling happily.

Was there with the rest of her family. A look of confusion upon her face as she started to see everyone gather. The girl had grown into a young woman now. Her magic is a little better, but still could improve. She crossed her arms over her small chest and held her self. Her tail softly flicking as ears were down.
"I'm here...Uncle Wulv..." she turned looking to Sune. "Hi Aunt Sune." she smiled, she hasn't seen him in a long while.

Hotaru appears at Wulv's side between one moment and the next, her silvery fur gleaming despite no descernable light source. A soft chuckle "I am unsure if I can be so subtle sister of mine."

Wulv would greet each in turn as they had come at the summon.
Orias was first, and though there was an odd relationship between the two, wulv knew they could trust Orias. They smiled at the man almost flirtatiously.
"And remain as silent and sneaky as ever."
Not soon after came Sune only a moment behind, and though true they did not know of wulv's little romp in the woods with Orias, they made a very heavy claim on Wulv it seemed. Though it was hard to tell as the two had deep feelings for the other and this greeting would not have been out of the ordinary for either of them.
Then came Mimi, Wulv smiled at her and was thankful she too arrived and wished to help.
The last to arrive was Hotaru to which wulv almost gave a small chuckle.
"Perhaps subtlety is not your style, but I am sure you can do your part dearest sis."
Wulv took in a deep breath and gazed at their clan, this group that even if not blood almost considered each other family. Even Orias who tried to distance himself often it seemed had a close connection with Sune, for which Wulv was glad.
"I am sure as many of you have become aware of there is a sense of tension in the land. It seems to have divided itself between two almost fanatical factions. Both claim to follow out actions in the name of a deity, but at what cost? I wonder if this is even healthy for the land and I sense war." Wulv looked each of them in the eye now as they continued onward. "For many a year now our focus has been on power, growing as individuals while trying to find balance. And though I urge you all to continue to grow, to strengthen yourselves, I feel we may need to shift focus. I have seen you all expand knowledge, test your comfort limits, test your metal, and put faith in each other when it seemed helpless. That faith has drawn us together. What I ask now though may be dangerous and I understand should any of you wish not to follow through with it." Wulv took in a deep breath and moved to the statue of the scales.
"The world runs on a balance, and I fear that if this war comes the scales may tip. I ask not to get involved in the war however, but instead to remind those in the land that there are options besides good and evil. Our message should be balance, remind them of neutrality and offer them hope and refuge if they so need. And we must be as the shadows in doing so. Go to the taverns to the towns and act as whispers in their ear, but do not draw too much attention as there will be those wishing to spread the message of light and the message of evil. We may garner that attention anyway and have the gods turn on us. It is a fine line I ask us to tread but I feel now more than ever the message needs to be heard that there are options out there beside that which is being presented. I trust in all of you, in each of you," Wulv looked each of them in the eyes as they said this, "and I trust whatever decision you make. We must strive to maintain balance for Tyran and each other."
Wulv gave them a bow when they were done speaking and as always allowed for each of them to enter their own input or question. After all even if Wulv was the leader they worked as a team, and though Wulv trusted that they would go to hell and back for them if they ever asked that trust came about from the trust wulv put in them and the fact that Wulv would always be willing to listen to any of their concerns.

Orias watched with a smile as Sune entered, returning the hug and grinned when Wulv and Sune kissed. What the grin meant? No one would know. "You both are so very cute together," Orias' voice laced with affection. His eyes met with Wulv's for a moment before waiting on the others to show up.
To the others, he was a shadow. It wasn't that Orias didn't care for them, he did. The man was loyal to the shadow walkers and vowed to protect them... but he liked his little mask and enjoyed secrets.
So he listened to Wulvs command and nodded from the corner with his hands shoved in his pockets. "I plan on expanding my business into the capital. I will be spending a lot of time there and can communicate balance. Or just give them a potion that has them bending to my every will?" he shrugged.

Wulv had met Orias' gaze after the cute comment and wondered just a bit what Orias could be thinking. But they were certain whatever it was it could not be harmful.
Wulv gave a half crack of a smile toward Orias at the potion comment.
"We don't need puppets as tempting as the idea might be. We need actual impact on people. Whatever any of us can do to help this spread would be welcomed. I know some of us visit the capital more oft than others. Others are steadfast in preserving our humble town here. Hotaru could be the voice here. Orias can be the voice for the capital. Sune and I can be a voice where ever we may roam. Mimi I know you roam too, but be careful who you approach. As we all should be."
Wulv looked about the room, "If there are any other concerns that need to be addressed I would like to hear them now while we can address them as a group. Such as decoration for our new quarters."
Wulv moved closer to Orias and gave the man a smile. "Thank you for your willingness to aid. I wish your business the best endeavors as it expands," they whispered to the man keeping and eye and ear out for any concerns, but wishing to extend their well wishes to Orias while they had the chance to.

Sune gave Orias a kind smile “thank you for the complement.” he said to the man, not being able to read the grin as anything more than just a grin. He would of course greet the others there as well, giving another hug to Mimi “hello Mimi. I do hope all is well” he smiled, Going silent as Wulv explained the situation. “I shall lace the tales of our work anatomy songs Wulv and go from place to place if you think that might help any? I’m gathering that the intent is to add more people to the Shadow walkers?” he asked to be sure of what as being asked of. |

Wulv smiled and kissed Sune addressing him as much as they were the clan, "growing our numbers would be nice and I must admit is on my mind. However we will take those interested in spreading the idea of balance, and that is more my concern for the moment. Just remind them as I said, all of them, that there is a balance to be had it cannot be all good or all evil and both are needed in the end. If the divide continues or grows too drastic we may lose all we know."

Sune would listen to wulv talk and would nod. “I think I understand now” he said He would then give all a hug and be on his way. “I shall spread the word and see what it brings” he told Wulv as he left once more, since the meeting was over.

Tyrannights is a free-form play by post RPG with a medieval fantasy setting. It was formed in 1997 by Shawn and Doreen with many different owners and versions over the years. Its current version is Tyran: Tales of Legends owned by Sinead and Laelia.
Tales of Legends is world and character building focused with and original setting. There are no forced character aps or registration, so come stay in Wendy's Tavern for a drink. Have you character serve one of two Tyran gods. Rule a city of your own, or serve Tyran's Queen. There are limitless possibilities for your character's story... so what are you waiting for?
