Attack Rolls are made on a D20 as are Defense Rolls.
Skill Rolls and Magic Rolls are also put on D20s.
You will add a number to the d20 based on your division of skill points. All of you have 6 skill points, and can put no more than 2 in any one skill. Skills are as follows.
Physical Attack: Used to employ physical assault, and do physical damage. The includes both melee and ranged mundane attacks.
Physical Defense: Used to defend against physical assaults by either blocking or avoidance. This can resist melee and ranged mundane attacks. Stylistically, this can be magical in nature- stone had skin, etc.
Magic Defense: Used to defend against magical attacks, resisting spells or magical phenomenon. This can stylistically be innate, or flashy.
Magic Attack / Potency: Used for magical assault, and for the effectiveness of healing and other effects. You can use magic to do more than attack, but also create illusions, etc. Use your imagination and your GM will let you know if it works, (with a high enough roll) just don’t argue the point.
Skill Potency: Sneaking, Climbing, most anything that’d be categorized as a skill you’d have to learn to be fairly good at.
Survival: How you resist against cave ins, poison gas, arrow traps, and general mayhem.
Report your selections to me in the Event Room when I ask- please use the following format where each category you are selecting has the amount of points assigned. Do not mention categories you do not have. If there is a short amount of info you’d like me to know as I run, please post it at that time.
Hit Points: You all have 25.
Spell Points: You can use your spells with little limitation, unless you attempt to resolve issues with magic. I will make a roll each time you cast. If the ‘stamina cost’ equals more than your potency roll you are *out of spells* Stamina costs are calculated by d10 + the amount of spells you’ve casted previously + any difficulty modifiers.
This truncated explanation may not help much- but we’ll be learning as we play.
The Adventure, is *Beneath the Sunflowers or Pushing up Daisies.*
