Hey guys! My name's Alex and I'm going to start my character, Parz. I'm completely new to this sort of thing(Tyran, D&D, roleplay, etc) so please bear with me if I ask a lot of questions or need some criticism.
Here's Parz's backstory:
Parz grew up in a faraway land as the hybrid child of an elf and a human. They were a family of mill workers. Working the mill all day had allowed him to become physically strong and eventually join the military. Despite wanting to a foot soldier, he was given a bow and arrows on his first day of training.
During his time in the military, Parz took a lot of grief from being a hybrid, from both the enlisted and officers. The humans in the military were very proud of their blood heritage and took his presence as a threat. The same went for the elves. He usually kept to himself during his tenure with the military, passing the time by training or reading. He had never seen battle but had been preparing for three years until the commander of his unit had been assassinated.
The assassination had come as a surprise since the country was in peacetime. A few soldiers had spread the suspicion that Parz was the killer. Of course, because of the general animosity towards him, the suspicions had become truth to many people despite the lack of any evidence. A few soldiers had banded together and attacked him in his sleep. His elvish blood had allowed him to awake before they could kill him. He was able to avoid an fatal blows from the soldiers, kick two of them back, which opened a window for him to push through and escape. On his way out of the camp, with shouts behind him, Parz was quickly able to grab his things from the armory before setting off in exile.
After a year on the road, surviving by working odd jobs and hunting, Parz had stumbled into Tyran, not knowing it was Tyran until he had reached the capitol. He was surprised by the vast amount of different races that were coexisting. This was the right place for him.
