Kiva was a native of Ashousau he was born within the desert tribes that run the mountain camps. He was a changeling much like Maggie.
In the desert tribes to receive a Faye changeling as a child was comparable to receiving a gift from the gods. It meant your hearts were good. The families would be honored. Because the magic the Faye held was not completely understood they were considered minor messengers from the god's.
As a child, he was taught about himself. He grew up knowing that he was not his parent's birth child but loved just the same. Children were curious in general but halfling children held much more curiosity than most. In childhood, Kiva got into more mischief, was known to play jokes and pranks, but all were in good fun and never caused harm. He also came to be humbled that he was revered in such a way.
This lead to a curiosity about what the gods really were. If he was their messenger why had he not received any messages. This led him to travel to provide service to the temples. He wanted to understand his magick and where it came from.
He discovered many secrets, many things that had spread to the people. Their gods were false. He was not from the gods, nor was he a god. He found the truth about Faye changelings. He knew he had to use his power to change.
Then luck would have it. A new military presence. One whisk formation could and over time had changed the way people dealt with each other. He would be able to make a change a revolution. He would be able to take the old powers out. The call had started rolling and he would keep it. He would help distribute information about this and of Tyran and its freedoms and it's free will.
