It had seemed a normal day, aside from a small argument between a pooka merchant and a neko over a fish that ended with said fish stuck in the nekos mouth and she couldnt breath. Dracyl had been out for a walk through the town after resolving the fish incedent when the wave of energy from Lycards spell rolled through. He could tell what the magic was and yelled for everyone within earshot to brace themselves. He called the family to get ready as well for the aftermath. As soon as the thought left his head the quake hit.
He dropped to all fours, wrapping his tails around a lightpost and waited for the quake to pass. He thought it would be fine, just shake the people up a bit, maybe just some light damage like before. That is until he saw the eastern tunnel collapse and the ceiling begin to crack "Shit..." He called for Temporin immediately and instructed him to halt time around the crack as best he could. The quake ended but the rumbling continued as part of the mountain was still falling away into the water, visible from the hole that used to be the east gate.
Dracyl had to think fast and with clay gone off in the carrion lands and Pen still nowhere to be found the only thing he could think of was to shift the city somewhere else. He knew they would need power for something like that so he ran into the McArther home and down to the library, calling Celestia to meet him there. He enter the gem chamber where his fathers crystal floated as always, walked over to it and placed his hand on it causing it to stop spinning. "I know you told me not to mess with space but theres not much choice right now"
Celestia entered behind him already knowing the plan from the link "Try to put as much of the strain on me as you can drac. Too much and it may break you" Dracyl nods to her and when she walks over he takes her hand. They then both put their free hands on the crystal and begin drawing power from it. Celestia could have moved it herself if the city was not linked to drac through the barrier, he had to be present for it to work, like a key.
From their feet energy flows outward over the room in lines, drawing symbols as they go. The runic type writing spreads out through the library, up into the mcarther home and eventually covers the entire town. Through the connecting passages it spreads to Myras home, Grogs hut, the Gaius academy and Aruas Observatory. Back in the gem chamber just as the spell snared Gaius and before the town vanished, the gem in Dracyls chest suddenly cracked. He yells out in pain and everything vanishes. Half the mountain falls into the sea though the other half still stands.
The western gate leading into gaius leads only to an open cavern being supported only by the half finished teleportation spell. The city was still there in a way though intangible but its physical presence was stuck between the shift. Celestia had just barely managed to get a message to Jenn who was in Night haven what happened and what she had to do. She had a sliver of pens crystal left on the ground just inside the west gate. She was to find a new spot for Gaius and use the crystal sliver as a beacon for her to lock on to.
Jenn spent three days searching for a new location for Gaius but everything was turning up empty. The rock had to have the right minerals in it, there had to be an underground spring and the mana streams had to converge at least close by. Lycard had been searching for answers about Gaius as it wasnt supposed to have been damaged much by his and pens calculations. When he finally found Jenn he heard what happened (after of course getting a fireball to the face a few times and a kick to his nether regions) he took the gem. He knew a spot that had all three traits, though it wasnt in a large cavern like before.
He flew to the mountains in the far west near where night Haven was and landed on a large plateau that had the peaks of mountains on three of its four sides, the fourth was a drop off leading to a canyon floor below. He looks around for a moment then moves over to one of the mountains. There was a cave, not too big but enough to work with, he began widening the cave, carving out wide pillars and making it large enough to hold at least a small village. It wouldnt be enough for the town but would be enough to hold the mcarther home and an area for other homes, namely Gaius's sun sensitive residents.
Once he was finished he exits the cave and places the crystal on the ground. The crystal glows brightly then sinks into the ground as another small tremor starts. Lycard takes to the sky to avoid any buildings that might pop back into reality on top of him or the like. With the beacon placed, Celestia begins placing the town back into tyrans reality. She could see the cave and the forests, the plain and the small mountain fed stream that ran through the area. Carefully placing buildings down and altering things so everything fit.
She placed the mcarther home in the rock above the cavern , as lycard figured, placing the vampiric homes in the sheltered cave. Trees were repositioned to accommodate the houses outside. Thankfully there was no pathways to set down so that was one less burden. It was rough but then they would have time to make everything pretty again, time to shape the stone properly, at the moment it looked like a city that had been abandoned for a few weeks. She sets the Academy down near the town but left Aruas observatory in the space between dimensions for now, no one was inside and she wasnt sure where best to put it yet anyway.
Once she was done she let go of the gem and stumbled back a bit "Damn that took more out of me than i thought" As she gathered herself, Drac slumped to the floor, immobile. With the quake completed and Gaius free from between dimensions, Pen emerged from the gem. He had no flesh at the moment, entirely in his energy state, he looks around for a moment then looks to Celestia "Get some rest, i'll take care of this" Celestia looked to Dracyl for a moment then to Pen and nods, leaving the gem chamber. Pen looks at Drac and sighs, pulling his shirt away looking at the cracked gem in his chest that was faintly flickering with a soft blue glow.
He lifts drac up then touches the gem, its flickers quickly for a moment then expands, growing larger until it encases Dracyl in a 4 point star shaped crystal. Pen moves it next to his own Gem which starts feeding energy into it slowly. "You did good Drac...may have pushed yourself too hard but you did good." He looks at the cracks in the crystal then sighs "Well ive been gone long enough, guess i had better get back to the surface. I have a lot of work to do..."
