The Temple of Light, once home to a Goddess of Tyran soon fell to ruin after she stepped down. It lay a crumbling pile of Stone and rubble for several years, Until a young Vampire chose to take up rebuilding it, She used the money she made from her dairy to fund the project. Several people wondered what A vampire that had a known past of attacking people to feed was doing working on the temple of light. Some spread rumors that she would turn it into a dark temple, other were sure she was building it into a place to harvest people; However, none were willing to ask her what her intent was. several weeks passed and the once over grown rubble and ruins started to resemble an up and coming temple, but progress was slow she could only afford 300 gold a month in supply money from the farm and her reserves had run dry. thats when her mother Rita and then soon to be step-father Tempest pitched in, the new influx of gold was joined by supplies and crafters by the dozens, more progress was made in days than she had been able to afford in 3 months. Only 4 months after she had started the project it was complete, the Temple of Light had been rebuilt. People flocked from all across Tyran to see and visit the Temple, they did not seem to care it had no goddess. The popularity of the Temple caught the young Vampire by surprise, whats more people started calling her Priestess, the same people that once feared and reviled her now looked up to her and some kind of Priestess of Light. the rebuilding of the Temple had other positive effects, Port hope became prosperous again as people and traders from all over docked and visited on their way to the temple, the surrounding farming villages now had buyers for their crops with all the new visitors. A Feared and troublesome Vampire Had taken a pile of rubble and created a Temple Hope and Joy, a Temple of Light and she would take up the Title the people had bestowed upon her, Sakura Priestess of the Temple Of light.
For a few weeks the temple prospered as a place for people to seek trade, healing, enlightenment, guidance, food, and even shelter. The Xenothrin guards her step father assigned to guard her did not seems to phase the visitors at all even though she felt they were over kill for a simple attack on her life. Over all all seemed well, the temple and surrounding towns were thriving ... Atleast until That faithful day. It started out like any other day, she was going about her daily duties at the Temple when there was an eruption of magical energy then the ground started to shake, it quickly got more violent as she say the land start to break, fresco's on the temple broke and fell, the front garden cracked and shifted slightly, so far nothing serious, that when she saw it, a tidal wave 200' tall surging for port hope, she screamed out in horror as it slammed into the coast wiping out the port and over 200 people instantly, but the carnage was not over the force of the wave broke lose the hill sides sending thousands of tons of rock and soil crashing onto the ocean, when the quake stopped and the dust settled, where once was a thriving port town was now an inlet cove .. a tome. Her heart burned with the fury of a thousands suns, she knew who did this, the only one powerful enough and mad enough to do this, Lycard, God of Chaos and destruction. She was furious but she didn't have time to start a war with Tyran's trinity, there would be refugees and they would need her and her temple as well as its staff.
In the after math of the quake Sakura started to rebuild Port hope was assigned 200 workers, they would rebuild the town, another 600 were assigned to building new homes for thoes displaced, lastly 100 were assigned to erect a memorial to all the lives lost in the quake. this was a good start but she knew she needed to send a message, she needed to say these are my people and you will not hurt them again. after talking with her mother and trusted friends she chose to wall off the temple and surrounding towns to form a Temple of Light City, leaving the farm fields outside the walls was going to be necessary the people had to come first, but a simple wall would not save them from another attack, she needed something to level the playing field and she knew just the thing. She went to her mother and asked for Aether tech to protect her people, her mother warned her that even though the devices were simply magical focusing nodes, they were large frowned upon and the kind she wanted might even be seen as a direct challenge to the Trinity it's self. Sakura nodded and said she knew but did not care, she would deal with them if that day came but she needed a way to protect HER people. Rita smiled and agreed, she gave Sakura 5 nodes, one was place at each corner of the temple city, the 4th in New Port Hope, and the 5th, Well it was placed atop the memorial monument where it would shine bright while as a becon of hope. These Node came with an additional warning, they would work only once and then the crystals focusing the magical Aether would shatter, they would phase the whole city out protecting it with in Rita's Dragon realm for a short time, it wasn't much but it was enough for her, it was a way to protect her people.
Today the Temple of Light City is thriving, New Port Hope is bigger than ever with her traders and visitors arriving every day. Even with the wall and guards no one who arrives in peace is denied entry, its policy of an open door remains and new people move into the Temple City everyday. While she still keeps an Eye out for trouble Sakura now spends most of her time Filling her Roll as Priestess of Light and welcoming all of you to the Temple of Light.
