Welcome back, Tyran players!
I'm scrambling to get a bunch of stuff done and I know there is no real good time to spit all this out. So... here's a huge post about everything that is changing in Tyran. We hope that this will bring back some old players and help cater to new ones once we get things settled. If you have any questions, feel free to get a hold of any of the admin.
So as you can see, we've changed things around a lot. For those who prefer a more simpler theme, feel free to go to your profile > edit profile > Settings > select Kings Castle. It's a much more simpler theme, but lacks any information like this one has. So be warned you might be missing out on things like site updates and current events right away.
Now... As for IC stuff. We as a staff came to an agreement that we would like to see the old temples brought back. Light and Evil have returned! We're also bringing back an old favourite: Demi-gods. We haven't settled on anything regarding *old* gods, but those who once had demi-god status, you may claim it once again. The other two new admin roles are the famous General of Tyran army, Laelia plus a new Queen of Tyran, Protea. We hope that this offers players more ability to have diverse stories and give us more ideas to help you, the players.
Another new thing: We're scrapping the old ranks and adding a simple achievement system. Keep an eye out for more details on that. It's all finished, we just need to implement it! As time goes on, all those who currently have those achievements, will have badges on their profile.
I also am adding the ability for people to add Tyran specific lore. Have you created a race that makes them different than typical fantasy lore? Want others to join you in playing them? Get in touch with me and we can make them official!
Finally, we will be slowly getting away from chat and switching over to discord. Jess and I will be trying to find a way to maybe add it as a page here but we cannot guarantee that.
I think that's everything! Again, any concerns feel free to let us know!
Happy gaming!
