(Extended from the Event of the Coronation)
Queen Protea had been filled in on what had occurred, and had some time to recover along with her guests whom had unfortunately been tortured by the unknown creature. She was filled with guilt at what they had gone through, and did everything she could to try to make amends. However, she also still had to put together the council... regardless of what had happened. So now Protea was ready to meet with any of the people who had gotten the letter invite (leaders of clans, families, land, etc.), and answer their questions.
Everyone would be gathered into her meeting room... though she was sure some of them would be weary even being in the castle with her at this point and she wouldn't blame them if they had chosen to no longer meet with her. That creature likely caused her some loss of alliances.
When everyone who wished to join had gathered, she would rise from the head of the table and bow down as low as she possibly could to all of them (think Asian style bowing.) "I am so very sorry for what you all had to endure within my home. While I had nothing to do with it directly, you were under my protection here and I failed to protect you. I hope that I can repair any ill feelings with you, and I hope that some of you will still consider a position here as my council to oversee decisions for the Capital in the future." With that, she rose and regained her proper composure. She took a deep breath and sighed, then settled back down in her seat and was prepared to face them, their questions, and the task at hand.

Cairogen was first to show it seemed. He took a seat at the table and looked around a bit. He had came not only as representative of the M.A.G.I.C. Store but as a McArther and representative for Gaius since his brothers was busy with the newborns. He wore a more simply attire today, a long sleeved white shirt, black pants, clean black shoes and a black vest over the shirt. He still looked a bit tired but none worse for the wear.
As Protea stood and asked for forgiveness he would shake his head "You were a victim as much as the rest of us. How could you predict a crazy goblin nutcase who got offended you didnt invite him even though i doubt anyone even knew who he was? The guards were there and they were not able to stop it either. Not too mention some of the others that were there, and none of us stopped it. It was delt with and no one was hurt. Only thing i want to know is there any clues to find out who he was so we can serve him back a bit of revenge?" He laughs a bit trying to ease Protea a bit with a joke, though he did wonder if they had found anything.

Wulv would arrive a bit later as the child was wearing on them and their abilities but they had to show, and soon enough the child would be born and they would be back to a more regular routine hopefully. Whether they truly wished to be a part of this council or not was not why they showed though. Yes they were there to represent the shadow walkers and the town or city or whatever you call it of Night Haven, which bustled and seemed to grow everyday.
Wulv sat and gave a smile wondering if Sune would show. It wasn't long though before they popped up with their own question. "I too have a question the same one that seemed to get unresolved as a game took place from a certain fiend. Does the queen plan to secure heirs for her throne? I think the danger that reared its head at the coronation is proof enough we need a contingency plan."

Protea was grateful for the 'joke' to try to ease her worries from Cairogen. The ebony crown rested on her head today while a new one of her own could be fashioned. "I have some people looking into it. Any evidence that could be found in the castle is being provided, and some were interviewed about their experience. So far all I can determine is about the same as the rest. As I was told, it seems to be some kind of goblin like creature. I... well I used to know a family of goblins before I was Queen, who would help provide me with magical components for my cauldron. Its possible he came from that family, but I had no ill connections with them so I just don't believe any of them would have done this."
Looking to Wulv now she bowed her head as she listened, the faintest shadow appearing on her silver cheeks at the mention of heirs. "Yes, I suppose since I do not have heirs yet that it would be important to have a plan should something happen to me. The people want to see a stable and secure royal line... it probably makes them uneasy to know my origin now. Perhaps when I secure my council, one of them can advise me on the best course of action in this matter."
She would have questions for them as well, but she would wait some time for others to arrive should they choose to before asking. Until then, she was happy to answer the questions the nobles had for her.

Ronnie made his appearance by entering the door. He had removed his mask before entering, thinking that it would be rude to still keep his face concealed. His eyes peers into the room to see who actually showed up. It was disappointing, only three people, not much of a council and considering the queen had to select people, fewer options means that she may not be able to be as choosy. Perhaps more would show up later.
Ronnie eyes would glare forward as he saw Wulv, the one he has sought out so long. He went so long without seeing him, and have only had brief encounters with him, but today he was always running into him. The only bad part was he was in no means able to strike him. He practically felt he was an enemy camp even though officially he was not an enemy and in a sense not figurative. He didn't see the queen or the Capital as his allies nor his family, but then again this was one of the reasons he was here, could the Breteuil family have some influence in Tyran affairs, maybe Ronnie wasn't the man for the job.
Ronnie's hand was shaking as he felt every urge in him to strike. Ronnie took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He would focus on his light, and soon his eyes would open and would be shining white for a moment, before Ronnie's body calmed. Ronnie walked and had a seat at the end of the table and seemed to just remain quiet awaiting for the council meeting to officially begin. He would just casually listen to the concern of the others and would save his questions for the appropriate time.

Sune would indeed show, Arriving a bit later than Wulv because she had, had to convince Asha and Aed that mommy and daddy would indeed be coming back on time this time and that she was sorry to have worried them before.
Today she wore just a simple white dress with a leaf pattern on it in fine silver that shimmered a bit when the light hit it. It brought out the silver in the girls blue eyes. She had sat and listened to the queen apologize and could not fully agree that it wasn’t her fault. None of this would have happened if the queen had made sure to invite all and avoided having angered the goblin thing so.
She would remain quite and let the others ask their questions before adding in her own. Listening to the queen respond and interjecting at points. “I would think that regardless of your connection to this Goblin family you may want to cheek them out anyways. It may be hard to believe they did what thy did but then look at what happened when chaos rained.. we all did things we might have thought we would never do.” She said calmly.
As Protea answered Wulv question Sune smiled and reached over to pat Wulv’s hand. “Always thinking of babies this days us two” she giggled a bit. “Regardless of who is in council I would highly suggest to not follow in the footsteps of the previous queen in having a tournament to decide the next king.” She smirked, remembering how that whole thing had gone quite well, though she did not mind the outcome as it meant she got to be with Wulv.
“But I do apologize for you didn’t ask us here for our council as of yet but to let us ask you questions so my question to you would be how do we know all those in the council will be heard and their advice respected? You heard second hand how quickly things fell apart when the pressure was on. So how do you intend to keep that from happening again with this council?” she asked.

Post by Manic_Moriarty (Main) on Aug 8, 2017 10:41:04 GMT -8
Manic was a man who took the whole ‘less is more’ attitude thing a bit too seriously. He was selfish and often only did things if they were advantageous to him. That attitude only slowly changing now that he was a father agin for about the seventh time if he included Peter and Orin as sons, which most times he did.
He entered the council room dressed as if he were a male striper part why through his show. With tight black pants that left little to the imagination and tall black leather boots that had straps along the front running all the way up to his knees. He wore no shirt, leaving his well toned and tanned muscles exposed for all to see. This of course manning that some of his scars from battle could be seen as well but Manic didn’t care.
The man simply waltzed in like he owned the place and pulled out a chair across the way from Wulv and sat down, lifting his feet up to rest on the table and gave a wink to Wulv “Hey sexy! Long time no see” he smirked, blowing Wulv a kiss. “I see you brought your very attractive partner with you” he said, gesturing to Sune and biting his bottom lip a bit in appreciation for their good looks.
“If it weren’t for present circumstances I might have invited you both to an after party when this council business was done” he chuckled, now gesturing to their pregnant bellies and the wedding ring on his ring finger. “Pity.. but never mind” he pouted and smiled looking over to the new queen for the first time with those red eyes of his, each still holding scares around them from when they had been dug out of his head. He had since gotten them replaced of course.
“Oh, ho, ho! so this is the new Queen then!” he smirked and swung his feet back to the ground to get up once more, waltzing over to her as if he just might start going into a lap dance once he reached her. The light of the room glinting off the golden tips on the bull like horns that jutted out through his short messy white hair.
He would stop and bow at the waist to her. “My Queen, let me introduce myself. I am Manic Moriarty, head of the Moriarty family and one of the many Kings of Hell here in Tyran.” He said and took her hand in one of his, his touch surprisingly soft though very warm as well. This close he would smell to her like a mix of hot summer days, brimstone and something stranger still. Later when he was gone and she was asleep she might even have a dream, one which she had, had before but forgotten.
He raised her hand and kissed it with his soft redden lips. “I’m sorry for not comping to the ball my Queen. I was indisposed with my own Queen and wife Darla. She only just gave birth to our new daughter Princess Sayden. Both were in more need of me than the coronation I’m afraid.” he smiled and then let her hand go again as he straitened again. Him being one of the few here who did not know of what had taken place at the ceremony to crown her.
He then turned to find his seat again, once again putting his feet up on the table and relaxing in his chair as everyone started talking and he would raise a hand “I got a question.. What the hell fun did I miss?” he asked and laughed, feeling like perhaps he should have come to the correlation after all.

Curiously she watched Manic with a smirk at his body language and the fact he kissed her hand. She bowed her head in greetings, "Well met." She filled Manic in on the after-events of the coronation ball as best she could, looking fairly stressed to have to recall it but doing so because it was important.
"I have a lot to consider for who I'd like on this council, but it will be an array of different people. Tempest, you especially are the perfect candidate for this, as not only are you not human but as you say... you are very wise from all your years." She smiled in respect to him.
As for Sune's question that was a bit harder. "Honestly, I think I have to just rely on my judgement to pick a good council. They may not always agree, but that's good... it means things will be talked out in full, with all sides and details considered. I will allow the council to advise me on decisions for the Capital and rely on their knowledge and guidance to make choices best for the people. I will not have a large council, but I will pick a few people for the task. Not everyone who comes here today will be chosen... and its my hope none take offense if they are declined. Too big a council and as you say, it may be chaos and too unruly for me to control. Having only one adviser would give room for bias and selfish decisions. So I'm thinking somewhere around three to four will be good. They can return to their nations, but they will have titles declaring them nobles of my court so people know that they can speak to and for me in many regards."

Ronnie remained quiet in his corner chair, probable barely acknowledged by the room, he was invited, but he was no real ally. His family was probable only chosen, because she wanted to include some dark horse candidates. Some unlikely choices, possibly to show that she at least made effort to reach out. Ronnie noticed the introduction to some freakish demonic stripper. Ronnie can only mutter, “She invited every freak and abomination that had some influence.”
Ronnie gripped tight on the edge of the table as he tried suppress his rage. Fortunately there would be a familiar face in Tempest to bring him some hope that she may have one descent councilman. Ronnie agreed that Tempest would make a likely choice.
Ronnie quietly listened to Protea explain to these unruly lot her purpose of the meeting and how many council members she would select. Ronnie considered them unruly because they were bombarding her with questions that had nothing to do with the meeting or things that should only be discussed with her selected council. Ronnie wondered if she really was going to select these people as her coincil.
Ronnie decided to speak right after she finished her speech, “Oh ok, a small council sounds good, but just as we are here for you to choose worthy candidates I believe we should know what your vision for Tyran is, What do you want to see happen in Tyran, “Diversity, Prosperity, Military might, stronger social classes, improved alliances, fairer trade regulations, what? You mentioned at the coronation there was a coming disaster, is that another purpose for this council, to help against that?” Ronnie somehow managed to speak with every muster of respect he could. Ronnie hand was shaking and he was sweating as he was burning calories simply from the suppression of his desire to be unruly himself especially against some of the characters in the room, but Ronnie managed a level of posed and his tone was at least respectful if not slightly shaky.

Protea acknowledged Ronnie who finally spoke up. She'd given him the respect of remaining where he sat in silence to just listen until now. Some people liked to talk, some liked to listen. Both had their place. "You seem stressed, is there anything my servant can get you to ease your tension?" she asked first with a smile.
"As for your questions, firstly I have already taken measures against the threat. I made dealings with both of the Gods in order to avoid a battle here in the Capital. Soon I shall have some small shrines built for each of them for worship and offerings to appease them. I do not need to worry so much about military fortunately, as I have an alliance with the Tyran Army. Their purpose is to guard the Capital and surrounding areas... so I shall leave most matters of that nature in General Kaliba's hands and discretion. I'm certain she will send me informants on anything that is important for me to know. I hope to use my council to speak to other lands about establishing connections to the Capital... trade routes specifically, but perhaps imports or cultural festivals to learn more about our neighbors. The council I select will be my advisers, and my voice. They'll be the ones who travel out of the Capital back to their homelands and surround areas, or even remain here in the Capital, and try to win the people's favor. My job will be to direct my nobles toward the right tasks, and then they fulfill them."

Manic had listened to Protea explain to him everything that had happened and the man actually started to laugh and slap his leg with his hand. “Whooo boy! that sounds like quite the trick he played” he chuckled. Perhaps more able to laugh about it since he was not there and had not been forced to face the possibility of death.
He smirked until he realized everyone around him didn’t find it as funny and then coughed to clear his throat. “I mean come on… I get you may have been upset at the time but it’s over now. What good is life if you can’t laugh over the nonsense of the past hmm?” he tried but then gave it up. His eyes shifting to Ronnie as he could feel the mans anger and loved it. Manic fed on anger, though these day’s he fed primarily on his queen he couldn’t exactly keep from taking in others anger as well when emotions started running high.
He would listen to the others ask their questions and to the queen as she would respond to each in turn. The man now pushing his chair so that it tilted back a bit to rest on only the back two legs. He was a bit like having a kid at an all adults party sometimes and became easily bored. The Queen was telling them she wanted an array of people on her council and saying tempest was a perfect pick. It seems she would be relying on judgment as to who to pick and that it would be good if they didn’t always agree all the time as then what would be the point?
The queen had gone on about the duties of the council by which time Manic was attempting to see if he could touch the tip of his nose with his tongue. He might give others the impression that he wasn’t listening but in truth he was. He just felt this need to move around while listening. It helped him to concentrate and focus better. She finished what she had to say by saying only three or four of the people in this room would be chosen and a that his hand shot up into he air again.
He lost his balance then, arms and legs flailing a moment before the chair crashed to the floor, taking him with it. He landed and then moved as quickly as possibly to pose on his side and make it look like he had man to do that, a big old smile on his face as his next question came from the floor. “Sooo… then, umm what happens if we are literally the only ones that show up? I mean there are only what?” he looked under the table to count sets of feet “one…two…three… four… five...Six! Yes six of us here… so I just have to wonder if that is going to make your choice more challenging.?” he asked her, shifting to lay with his hands behind hid head and his legs dangling over the bottom of the chair. “Also will we have to pass some sort of test to get in?” he added, kicking his feet a bit as he sought to move again in some manner. All of this probably making everyone in the room wonder how the hell he had gotten to be the king of a Hell here in Tyran.
Then Ronnie was talking and he moved enough to stare at the mans feet under the table as he talked, counting each fold in his pants and then moving onto count each scale on Tempests left leg. He frowned a bit when the Queen offered Ronnie something to ease his tension. He liked Ronnie stressed, it was good eats for him so hopefully the man would say no and keep brooding.
At the mention of parties there was another clatter from his chair as he moved to get up from the floor with an excited look on his face. “Parties! Why didn’t you say so!? Us fay are great at hosting parties. We have parties all the time!” he half squealed like he was some excited school girl, clapping his hands in front of him to add to the image.
“Someone dies.. we throw a party, someone is born.. we throw a party! Hell if someone sneezes a really good sneeze we hold a party!” He laughed and moved towards her again. This time when he reached her he moved her arm gently so he could perch himself on the armrest of her chair. His hands going to her nearest shoulders as he pouted and bat his eyelashes at her “Please, Please, Please let me plan your parties” he whimpered, using his best puppy dog expression to try and win her over.

Cairogen had been listening quietly the whole time, watching all of them gather, listening to their questions and concerns. As Protea answered them in kind despite Manics ramblings he looks over to the mad fae "Parties are one thing but not the reason were here right now, besides most of us just had a party go wrong so i dont think were too keen on having another just yet"
He looked to the others for a moment, knowing most of them save for Ronnie, he watched that man closely getting a hint of bloodthirst from him. He looks to Protea while staying conscious of his actions "Things are still a bit of a mess from the earthquakes a while back when Lycard was in power, the major part of the city has been repaired but outlying areas still need work. With the shift over to Tyr and his actions, moods have soured and people have become depressed and less likely to try and fix things. I suppose things will pick up a bit now with the idea being spread that tyr will not attack the capital, but it will take time"
He takes a deep breath and shakes his head "I didnt think it time to talk about such things until we were sure no one else was going to show up, im hoping still that more do so the council has better choice of stock. Not denouncing anyone here but more people in the choosing process means more likelyhood the Queen can choose a Council group that can not only offer fair guidance but a group she can talk with easily. More variety makes the stew better as they say."
"As for how things went at the party, it was natural thing ended up as they did. Lots of strong personalities were clashing, each had their own ideas, each doing what they thought they had too...but, things proceeded fairly peacefully considering the circumstances, no one tried to force another into what might have been their doom, quite the contrary. We stepped up to take what might have been lethal poison to protect others and at most argued over why we shouldnt have taken it. No one was forced into the poison and though things got a bit excited as we tried to figure out that key we didnt have people just grab a silver and wander off through the door. We stayed and talked things over, even if it didnt lead anywhere until the general got frustrated and took it out on the crown."
He leans back in his chair and sighed "It could have been much worse than what it eventually was. I think that shows that even if we dont fully respect each other we did listen to each other and knew enough courtesy to not act like rabid dogs scrambling to their own safety."

She continued to listen to them, nodding slightly on occasion and offering a smile to Manic who was on the arm of her chair and giving her pleading eyes. "We'll see, we'll see... first, lets continue to have me answer what questions I am able and think on my possible Council. There's a chance too I pick someone who isn't even here today. I simply invited as many potential candidates as I could to read each of your personalities and desires. I'm not against help neighboring lands, but Tyran will come first in my court. Those I pick will need to understand that. Perhaps I pick a King, who must prioritize his own land... but depending on his land and ideals, I could let him choose someone to speak for him, you know?" she looked to them all. "I do not believe I am speaking of anything too sensitive with you here either. Naturally, some things will be reserved for only my chosen Council in the future."

Ronnie listened to Protea as she gave her response to his question and speaking with the same level of respect she has spoke to everyone. Ronnie wondered how she was when she got angry. She probable wouldn't allow herself to get angry so easy, she was the representative after all. Ronnie to manic delight declined, “No, there's nothing your servants can do to help me.” Ronnie taps his fingers lightly against the desk as if to channel his stress into tapping. He would start making a catchy beat, which helped him focus.
Ronnie smiled as she not only gave her vision for the council, but what she wanted from them. It gave him a descent idea who she would probable select as well and he felt him and his family will ultimately be left off most likely. “I see, that is an excellent vision, you will get to extend your voice through Tyran while your council will benefit by getting their voice heard by the one extending her reach, both you and your council......” Ronnie would stop as Manic was acting like a real jerk.
He knew hell was a place from some really bad characters, but this thing was very childish, rude, impetuous and a bunch of other bad words. What was baffling was that he sounded like he knew what he was talking about, but he couldn't sit still and he was acting totally disrespectful with his antics. Ronnie knew he definitely would not even want to be apart of the council if he was there He thought of the worst case scenario where he, Wulv and Manic being elected into the council.
Ronnie chuckles a bit, getting a good laugh on the inside to ease his tension and rage. Ronnie used this time to reconnect with Shrick and used Dragon Bond: Shared Vision.” Suddenly one of Ronnie's eyes shifted from Brown to red and looked more Draconian. Ronnie soon became more docile as he stared at all the occupants, “So, lets begin, how will you select or have you already made your decision?”

Vici entered the room quietly after debating for a long time on whether she should or not, whether she would even be welcomed or not to such an affair. She had overheard the idea of a council, at least somewhat and thought discussion with various sides would be good and please her mistress but she also felt like a slight outcast like she felt at the coronation. She slipped the door closed and slinked against the back wall giving a wave to Protea that only the queen could see. She then looked about the room to see who all was there.
There was an old dragon man that she didn't get a chance to know.
There was the young man who she recalled seeing briefly but didn't recall any interaction with him, of course she was too preoccupied with Protea's well being at the coronation to have even paid much heed to anything else that went on.
There was a man with horns which she began to feel her own head wondering what that must feel like and was going to try to give herself a set before deciding it might be too painful.
There was the kind man that had reassured her several times during the coronation and she waved to him not sure if he would even notice. SHe also thought afterward maybe she shouldn't have because these people might get mad and question why she was there and then throw her out.
There was the nice lady that had reassured her at the end all would be fine and she smiled changing her hair color to match the woman's as it was fascinating to see blonde and black together.
Then there was the one she sat by that was a... Woman? Man? Lord? Lady? She knew the herald had introduced them as one or the other... or maybe both. And she shook her head not understanding it before she took a seat against the wall and listened to them all talk.
She heard Ronnie's question and looked annoyed like he was trying to rush her mistress into something just so he could leave. How rude. Her face scrunched up and she gave a silent scolding to him.
She also gave a silent scolding to Manic as he was in the presence of royalty now and should know to act better or at least not as child like in a public setting before the queen. Maybe if they were in private. Her mind raced to that idea and she shook her head. She would not like it if anyone here, except maybe the nice lady or man, were alone with her mistress. So it was a good thing that she showed up when she did.

Wulv gazed at manic as he entered with a bit of lust and passion behind the gleam and cracked a partial smile before giving Sune's hand a tight squeeze and a kiss. "Don't worry you are my gem," they whispered in Sune's ear and at Sune's question gave her a smile and whispered to her again "a very well thought out question."
Wulv would then sit and listen to the other interactions and questions that were raised through the room and absorbed all that was being said and the small nuances behind some of the words.
"Tensions run high when it comes to the ideals one upholds. These shrines may seem a good idea now, but how do we know they will not be vandalized and lead to more tension among the people? Your council is to guide you but should you not be reliant more upon your wisdom in the matter at hand? Do you not fear that with a council others may see you and by extension the crown as fragile, weak, easily manipulated?"

Manic frowned when the Queen told him 'she would see' in response to his plea to plan out a party. His red eyes looking over to Cairogen as he talked about not being in the mood for any more parties and sighed. He got up from where he was and while Cairogen talked on he looked over and noticed Vici by the wall.
The tall man waltzed over to her and tilted his head “well… are you going to join us at the table then?” he asked her, still able to listen to the others talk as he spoke to Vici. He held out a hand to her and should she take his hand he would bring her hand to his lips to kiss just as he had done with the Queen. “I know not your name but I’m Manic. Please come sit with us. You have just as much right to be here” he told her.
Again if she would accept he would lead her over to the table and pull out a chair for her. The selfish man having a bit of a soft sport for those who were considered lower class by others. It was perhaps the only non selfish thing about him. He had the memories from Orin of what peasant life was like and how cruel it could be. So while he was sure this one had a better life than most of those kind of people he wasn’t sure being a servant was much better. Sure you had the guarantee of food, shelter and bathing but you had no freedom and if there was something Manic could understand was the lack of freedom.
He would right his own chair and sit again, By then Ronnie was talking and even seemed to be demanding the queen make her choice now. Or at least repeating a question already asked “I believe she said she wasn’t sure yet how she would be choosing” he told Ronnie, proving that he had in fact been listening this whole time despite appearances.
He smiled at Ronnie, loving the energy he was getting off him. Relaxing in the chair the man tried to think what else to ask but most of his questions had been answered, mostly. Everyone else had more questions and he found himself more just looking over Vici curiously as she was quite different from others he had met.
“Once you have a council chooses how often will they get together to meet or will they only be called on when there is dire need.” he asked, He was relaxing more and fidgeting less, though he did rub his horns against the back rest of the chair to scratch them.

Sune had been quite mostly, blushing when Manic had come in and greeted them in such a manner. She found herself laughing a bit at his antics but also squeezed Wulv’s hand in a guarded manner. She knew his mate lusted after Manic and it made her a bit jealous to say the least.
Her love whispered in her ear and squeezed her hand back. The encouraging words calming her a bit though she gave Wulv a kiss back that was a bit more possessive in nature. She listened to everyone speak and ask more questions and then at the mention that the queen might choose someone not even here a blond brow would raise up.
“But why would you choose someone not here? If they can’t show up to this meeting is it not clear then that they do not in fact put Tyran first? I get you most likely know more people better than you know us and that the choice is not ours to make nor to deliberate on; but do you not think it would show ill will to those that attended and took the time to come here to end up choosing one that couldn’t even make the time to show there face and interest?” She asked, not trying to be mean or tell the queen what to do but this was politics and in politics you had to sometimes sit with the very people that you hated and put on a smile to keep war at bay.

Manic lunch special would have came to an end as Ronnie's nerves calmed down and Ronnie gave off a more indifferent facial expression. It seemed his words were misunderstood. Ronnie merely wanted the process to get on the way. They where hear to discuss council qualifications. He was sure Protea had to have some method for selecting a competent council. It was amusing that she considered people outside of the place. That meant at this point she didn't see three or four candidates in the room thus far and thus may be forced to seek elsewhere.
Ronnie thought sune made a good point and predicted chances would be high that she might make the cut. She contributed to the game conclusion and displayed remarkable wisdom despite her appearance and personality. On the other hand she was constantly being distracted by her mate instead of giving her full focus, so maybe that would be a detriment.
Ronnie was intrigued by what reason Protea would give to defend her statement suggesting she may seek out others if she didn't find the current arrivals worthy of the title. Ronnie did have an interesting question, but felt that it was best saved for later.

She lifted her hands up softly in gesture of defeat at Ronnie, "Alas... I do not know yet. It is something I will have to think on for a little while, and then I shall inform the ones I prefer, and they can decide if they wish to take up the title and job. If they do, they'll be a noble of my court." Continuing on to Sune's concern she added, "I understand that concern, and I mean no disrespect in the least to all of you who came today. I expected more, but I fear perhaps the events of the coronation might have given some pause to join us here today. I do not blame them. And I admire you who showed today, because it shows your commitment and strength by comparison. If I were to pick a candidate that did not show today, it would only because I feel they would make a good addition. Not in any way a slight against the wonderful people at this table." Her smile was genuine and warm.
Turning to see Manic with Vici, her smile only grew as she nodded to Vici that it was okay and to come join them at his insistence. She even pat the chair at her side for her to sit in. Vici may be a personal servant, but it was only so Protea could keep her close to her and take care of her. It was the least she could do, as she owed the girl quite a debt now for a couple reasons. Plus, her company was comforting.
"If the shrines are vandalized, then the people will see me personally take time out of my day to go clean and repair them with my own hands every time. I believe if I can earn the people's respect, they'll begin to feel guilty for making me do such a task regardless of their feelings toward the Gods. There are a couple things that the Gods requested of me in our deal for the safety of the Capital that I must uphold. Such as the council, whom the prior Queen also requested of me."
Glancing around the table at each of them in turn she asked, "So if I were to choose you to be on my Council, is it something you think you'd accept? And if you were to be an adviser to me, do you feel you could do so fairly and with the intentions of putting my Kingdom first when asked of you?"

Ronnie thought it was amusing that the queen would clean the vandalized temples herself. He imagines her with a cloth and a soap bucket cleaning off graffiti off a temple, while her royal guards and onlookers watch in amazement. Ronnie felt that act would probable give a 60 to 40 split. 60 percent would be moved, while the other 40 % would mock her or accuse her to being a mere puppet of the Gods. He would be amused to see how that plays out as there will be at least one act of vandalism at some point.
Ronnie smiled as she finally began what he waited, she asked the fateful question that presumably would decide who she would elect as council. Despite Protea insistence that she did not know who she would select to be her council, Ronnie felt she at least had to have a good idea who she wanted. Everyone else was just dark horse candidate, who really had little chance.
Ronnie would wait his turn, while listening carefully to any and all people and their reasons. Ronnie stared calmly into the eyes of Protea and spoke, “If for some odd reason you included a Breteuil into your council, you would receive only fair and honest council. However, I won't lie here to gain favor, your kingdom would not be put first. Any council I or my family will share would be aimed at what will be perceived to be best for the future of Tyran as a whole.” There was more he could say, but he wasn't really all that confident he had a chance and he didn't want to try to hard only to be denied. The fact that he said he wouldn't put her Kingdom first was probable already a mental X stamped on his face.

Cairogen listens quietly again though soon looks as Vici comes in. He waves back and gives a smill before turning back to the table. When asked about if they would choose the position he nods "Gaius connects the western lands to the capital, naturally the capitals well being is Gaius's well being, Same goes for the stores in the capital as well. I cannot say my loyalty is set and stone, one never knows what will happen in the future. Todays closest allies could be tomorrows most bitter enemies after all. But as things are now, you have no fear of not having my loyaty"

The queen asked a question, the question, and it came time for an answer. Wulv knew that the question may be posed at some point but wasn't sure where to stand. They tread a fine line the majority of the time. Long ago Wulv gave up on following a deity, the only one that mattered had to let them go as they knew they would for both to grow. But what became of her? Perhaps she found her growth in mortality now just as Wulv was stagnant until more recent times. There was a need for them again, away from the temples now. A need for the Shadow Walkers and they had told the clan to spread the idea of neutrality and make sure it was known there was always unseen options. Would working with this council cause conflict of interest? Would they become a puppet to some other being? It was a difficult question, without easy answer. "Queen Protea I think you may ask too much of the people. There is concern of the individual to consider such as family and their homes. I think that I can say though for those gathered here that they would rather see what it best for Tyran as a whole more than just a singular part. Perhaps what is best would be to support the capital for the time. Perhaps it is to continue to see the growth of the cities that surround it. What can be said is there has been a missing link in Tyran for sometime and it needs to be repaired. I think any here are willing to give council, but not to see the capital rise and take over, instead it would be to benefit Tyran as a whole wherever that need might be."

Vici gave a smile to Manic who lead her over after kissing her hand making her blush a bit. She gave him a curtsy and sat beside the queen looking about the table at those that had decided to attend. Cairogen waved back at her which made her also know she was invited among this crew. They continued to talk and then the queen asked if they would put the capital first and it seemed the resounding answer was no. Vici frowned and then began to move her hands about as if scolding those there. Her fingers tried to communicate but she still didn't know sign language properly or have the ability to speak so finally tossed her hands up and placed a piece of parchment on the table and took out ink and pen and began to draw.
In the end the picture seemed to contain the capital, as it had a castle there, and then smaller cities around it and the two temples. She drew arrows about the picture and it seemed to indicated that if the cities gave to the capital the capital would give more back and all would grow. The capital would also be able to supply things to the temples in the form of people, followers, who would owe their gratitude toward the capital and in turn the smaller cities making the whole of Tyran grow. She shoved the parchment to the middle of the table so all could see and then placed her pen down and folded her arms.

Sune frowned at the queens response as it made them wonder why then did any of them come if they could have still been chosen without even having to attend? Yes it meant she would get a chance to see them and ask them questions. Part of why Sune had come here today was because of this need to ask the woman questions and she had to consider that these others may not have that same need. It bothered her still, because it felt to her like the queen had already decided in many ways. She tried to shake the feeling off but as everyone said no she assumed they perhaps all felt the same as she.
She looked then to her own growing belly and could remember how Ari had struggled to maintain a balance between family and her life at the temple. Even able to recall one day in particular when her own brother Kit had been laying there dying and yet her sister Ari could not come home to help. She had the temple to tend to and it came first just as the queen was now asking them to do for all of Tyran.
Ronnie answered no first. Cairogen was saying maybe but that he wasn’t yet sure, perhaps because his loyalty too had been shaken by the events of the coronation. Wulv also said no but in a way that indicated they might if the situation didn’t force them to not think of family first. Sune took her turn to speak up.
“I’m sorry Protea.. but no. I think if me and Wulv were not pregnant I might have chosen differently, than again perhaps not…” she sighed with a frown on her face now. “For all I know you will need us on the very day we finally give birth” she said and left it at that, despite feeling like she had more to say on the matter.

Manic had been sitting there running his hands through his own hair and doing his best to show that he wasn’t always completely out of control of himself and his actions. Would he act like this in front of those he visits as a council member? No, because he was a king and knew how important it was to not make an ass of themselves to complete strangers and yet had he not done that now in front of Protea? Yes, though he liked to think that most of that came about because he knew everyone here aside from her and Vici and he felt at ease in his place to be himself.
It seemed the time for them asking questions was over and she was taking her turn to at last ask a question of them. He had been listening and could see and feel that many here were not pleased with the queens response, most of them saying no in response to her question. He supposed that made things easier on the queen as now she had fewer to choose from. He smiled and pet Vici on the head as she scolded them all “It’s all right little one. let them have their tantrums.” he chuckled and got up from where he sat to stretch himself out a bit.
“You lot surprise me.” he said gesturing to them each in turn. “I always thought I was the selfish one and yet here you all are turning the Queen down when she puts you to the test. How I ask you does that make any of you better than those that didn’t even bother to show?” he asked, putting his hands on the table and starring at Sune directly in her eyes with a hard stare.
“You know…. for a long time I put myself first. I couldn’t help it. I was the ID in a very literal sense for over a hundred years. Just taking what I wanted, though back then there wasn’t much to take. That all changed though as I was given this body and again I set out into the world to continue what I had started as Orin’s ID.” He pushed himself from the table, crossing his arms at his chest.
“Point is that despite what I was I have been considering more and more the various things I have learned in my new life in this constructed of a body. In fact, just a few day’s ago I made an alliance with the General to offer her troupes for her cause and you know what I realized? If one of us falls nothing changes…. Yes our family morn and perhaps try to bring an end to those that killed that one but in the end that would be all. However if the whole of Tyran were to fall.. well don’t you see… That is more than just one. The loss of Many does not stop when it reaches your town or the front door of your house. No it sweeps you up and takes you with it!” He sighed, running his left hand through his hair while the other moved to rest on his hip.
He pivoted on his heels to face the Queen “My Queen, I would gladly put Tyran first. My wife queen is more than capable of running Hell without me there and if my alliance with the General proves anything It's that I will fight for the safety of all, not just my little family.” he said, shooting a side long glance at Sune as if challenging them to step up.

Cairogen tapped his finger to the table a bit as he thought before looking up "It seems, once again, my intentions are not getting through. I am saying that my loyalty lies to the crown unless a situation comes up where the crown attacks my family. Not that i think she will, just stating it for clarification purposes." He looks to Manic "Would you claim to be loyal to the crown if she threatened to behead your queen? If not, dont assume to lecture us about being selfish when i am not the only one thinking of family." He sighs and shakes his head "More and more im beginning to wonder if i made a mistake trying to step into this field. I do not think i can coney my intentions properly"

Orisimark would walk in a little late and look at everybody in there "well I'm sorry I'm a little late I went home to change and my medics needed my help delivering a baby. My queen I do not need to know what the others said I want to know what you said if you could ask any and all questions again." he said as he wore a green tunic with blue pants and a big black robe. "I believe that we have a assortment of people. people who worry about their lands not just the capital. I think we all need protection and help. what can you do for us?" he asked curiously as he looked through out the whole room. "if I am on the council I expect to have some kind of protection for my home I have soldiers and fighters yes but if a army amasses I only have 1000 I am worried that will not be enough."
