As promised, the Duke and Duchess of Silem headed out to New Arisalon before their visit to the queen. It was a sign of respect, really... that Nilsia's alliance lied more so with her friends than the political structure of Tyran. Was it a mistake? Time would only tell. For now, the Duchess reached out to Trent in order to go over their old contract.
Silem needed a military force. They had the protection of the Anemoi, but they were more of a private army than a brute force. While Nilsia strived for peace, she also knew that sometimes peace meant you had to fight.
The carriage reached the gates of New Arisalon where Nilsia announced their presence to the guard. There was a strange feeling in her stomach- a hint of anxiety. It would be the first time she saw Trent since the world announced his and Sylvie's death. Her heart yearned to see her trainer and friend again, but she was also happy to know at least one of them managed to make it out alive.
