There before her stood a wide open den of stone, iron, and fire. It was a rotting cesspool of people that she could care less about. Was it bitterness she'd experienced being so alone and having herself see mostly hunters and poachers outside of her family? Or was it her ever changing nature from spending less and less time around civilization. Her persona, The Shaman, was becoming more of a thing lately, and some people were being sent home mildly injured or scared out of their wits when they would go one step too far, kill one too many things... she was getting a growing reputation among some of the citizens in the capital, in particular, but it was a different person practically... A different look. Not today, though. Today, as she stood before the city in the distance, staff in hand, she stared ahead and started forward.
Even though she looked like she belonged more in a barbarian or druid encampment, she had no problems blending in. Some avoided her, some looked like they were tempted to spit on her for what she looked like she represented. One thing in common among most of them, however, was that they could all hardly take their eyes off of her. Every step she took and every movement she made was full of nothing but sensuality. Anyone with an eye for body motion would notice her being more like a feline than human in certain shifts of hips or on her feet. Or, at the very least, a shifter. Part of her previous life that had never left her.
She had a goal, and a path, and it took her to the castle, to the queen. She knew the name. Protea. She'd gone to pay respects before, but found herself too uncomfortable to stick around, and from what she'd heard, it was likely for the best. This time, she had need for audience.
If she dreaded stepping through such a city before, it was made lighter by the fact that her daughter was returned to them... something she'd have to pay a price for soon enough. She wouldn't be looking forward to that, but there were people to help save first. That would come later.
Once she was near the castle, she would stand with staff, waiting patiently for someone to greet her. They greeted her, alright. They greeted her with some hands on weapons at the ready, in case they felt the need to protect themselves, their people, or their Queen. She didn't expect less. It was an interesting time in the world, a fact she had to remind herself given things that have never stopped setting in motion. She wouldn't begrudge them that, but she also was short on patience.
Taking a deep breath, she calmed her nerves and rubbed the thumb holding onto her staff back and forth over the focus to help aid her calming. When her voice came out, it was calm, but slow.
"I need to speak to your Queen. I have a message that I must deliver myself. Understand I do not threaten anyone here, but this is no small matter, and I have little time to dally with politics or matters of class. You may tell her Krixia is here. If you deny me, or make me wait intentionally, the message will be delivered one way or another. Please trust I come in peace."
She waited as some of the people looked between each other. She had no more words. Tilting her head down, there was possibly a slight unsettling sight coming from her as her antler-skulled headdress was 'looking' at them all, a slight glowing coming from the barren eye sockets in what should have simply been her shaded, dark hair. And there, she waited, shifting on her feet back and forth in a slow, but silent melody. She even purred softly while humming to herself.

One of the guards ushered off a younger one to fetch the servants who would then alert the Queen. When Protea was informed that it was said to be urgent, she dismissed those in her tent and crossed the field full of construction to the gate where she nodded to the guards and then looked to the woman. She recognized her, but was not overly familiar with her. "Welcome. Forgive me, but I forget your name... however, I believe we've met. Do come in. Forgive the mess... I'm in the process of constructing a new castle, but I have a tent magically shielded where you can speak securely."
She turned and guided Krixia that direction. It took no time at all to reach the large tent where she entered and shoo'd out the servants and anyone else that may have lingered behind in there. She sat down at the smaller table that had a chair on each side of it, and instructed Krixia to take a seat as well.
"So what is this urgent business you bring? I hope it is something I can aid with." She was also hoping the woman would provide her name.

Krixia chose not to speak to the queen immediately when she was approached. A polite and considerate bowing of her head was offered before she followed the woman who was making haste to get this conversation under way. If the Queen was busy, then that was all the better for Krixia. She had things that needed done that related to this conversation as it was.
When offered a seat, she declined with a gentle motion of her hand, preferring to stand inside the tent. "We met. Once. My name is Krixia. I actually would like to speak with you about some perhaps... diplomatic issues in the future, but for now, I have something to share with you. You directly may or may not be able to help me, but I am coming to you to perhaps leverage your power as a resource." At first, she gauged the queen's reaction for a couple seconds, but then continued on quickly.
"I'll get to the important part. The city is in danger of being destroyed. This is not a god's influence, this is a spiritual force that's being controlled by someone that the spirits cannot discern. All I know is that there is a great beast that lives far under us... far... but it will come to the surface, and when it comes, it will not care of this city or it's inhabitants. I am going to do everything I can to stop the corrupting force that is currently trying to rouse the creature from doing so, but I alone am not enough to stop it. I'll have others that will aid me from afar, but this force needs weakened. My suggestion to you is to gather people, whatever ways you know how, and ask them to aid their capital, and their land. Or whatever motive they wish to motivate."
That last line said, she snorts. "This, your Majesty, is what I think would be your best move to make. But whatever you chose to do, I advise you do it quickly. It is hard to tell how much time we have before I cannot lull the creature any longer once I start."

The Queen was not insulted that Krixia didn't wish to sit, and still took a seat herself to take advantage of the meeting to rest her feet between other duties. "Krixia, ah yes of course," she said when the name was provided, smiling politely.
Listening to the first part of what Krixia shared, a hint of a frown could be seen by Krixia since she was paying attention to her reaction, though most would have missed it. Needing her power; the magical part or the political part she wondered. Then the woman continued to explain.
A blue brow lifted on her silver skin at the mention of a sleeping beast deep in the earth that would arise. It sounded like children's tales to make them behave, yet the look on Krixia's face told Protea that it was no mere story now. Her face lost the polite smile and turned to a look of serious concern as she listened carefully to the rest of the advice and details.
"I see. What an inopportune time when my castle isn't ready to protect people. Thank you for the warning, I very much appreciate it so that I have time to possibly save as many people as possible before it happens. I do not yet have a personal army of my own, but I have an alliance with the Tyran Army. I shall alert them to this news so that they can take the actions they deem necessary. I also have some more connections I will reach out to, and see what comes of it. Is tehre anything else I can personally do to aid you in your task against this creature? It sounds like you carry a heavy burden taking on this creature."

When Protea finished speaking, Krixia stood there for a moment or two in silence. So many thoughts raced through her mind. But what she tried to focus on was what she might actually need help with from an outside source. Immediately her response was to spit out "No.", but she choked on her own statement with a snort and a soft growl. Quieting that quickly enough, the woman relaxed and spoke instead...
"If you've any knowledge of druids, or mages, even, that are skilled arts of removing corruption from.... I don't know what... people? Things? I only know I am going to try and handle what I can. I won't be alone, but as I said, it won't be enough alone. Make someone of that regard, or someones, a part of whoever you would ask seek out the sources. I apologize for the poor timing, and I apologize for my abrupt warning and departure. I have an affair or two of my own to take care of before I go do my part in this. I only wish I could offer you more help."
That said, the woman doesn't wait much longer. "Your Majesty". Her parting offered in word, she turns and makes her way out of that tent. It didn't take a couple steps once she was outside in the open air before she was already shifting into her tiger form and running her way out quickly.
