Skip skips along as he comes across a unique large tree with a cat stuck in it. Skip thinks black cats are cool because superstitious people freaks out when a cat crosses their path. Skip decides to play the hero role and begins climbing a tree to save the kitty. When he got up half way he heard snarling. It turns out he was followed by some lynxes that apparently wanted him for dinner. Skip screamed out for help as he was too low on mana to teleport. To top it off he was hungry. |

Inara was out just flying around and stretching out her wings and trying to get some exercise. It was important to get out to fly around from time to time and the keep her golden wings strong. She loved this time of year as the trees leaves started to change colour. Fall had this lovely smell to it that just made her feel so warm and happy. All these thoughts and more were interrupted as she could hear Prankster Skip paling for help. She looked around and didn’t spot him at first, banking and coning around as she swooped down lower to get a better look. It took a few passes before she could see the man trapped in the tree and being hunted by Lynxes. “Oh my!” she exclaimed and flew down to the tree where Skip was. She would land up top on the biggest branch of the tree and climb down to him. the girl wearing nothing more than a gossamer dress over hr otherwise fair skin. “Hey there.. Need a bit of help?” she smiled at him.  |

Skip was in a panicky mood. He tries to tug at his collar knowing if he could get this thing off he had a good chance of escape, but alas it was to durable. He then heard some rustling up and he didn't know what to make of it. Were there predators in the tree. By this time the cat he previously came to get had jumped to another tree. The sudden appearance of Inara in her dress caused Skip to tense up and slip and he desperately held on to the branches. The lynxes licked their lips and jumped in the air as if each was going to be the first to get the first bite in. Skip shouts, "Please don't hurt me, I won't be bad!"

Inara could see Aki was in a panic and watched him tug at some collar about his neck. One of the Cats had managed to get up into a tree with branches lower to the ground. She gasped and knew she had to act quickly but then the man slipped. “Oh no!” se gasped, climbing down to get him and reaching out to grab him with one hand while the other held onto a branch. She was rather nimble in the tree and able to move in it’s branches as if she belonged in them. Little wonder considering the wings. “Im not going to hurt you… I’m trying to help you” she sighed, trying hr best to pull the man up and into hr arms, the girl surprisingly strong.

Skip was a bit in panic but she tried to assure the chameleon that she wasn't going to hurt him. He had two choices risk losing his grip and falling to his death or trusting this winged creature offering assistance. He would extend his hand trying to grab her hand and just as he grabs her hand he would slip and fall, “Ahh! His body rocking side by side as she desperately held him up with her surprising strength. Fortunately Skip only weighed about 90 pounds. He shouted, “don't let go, don't let go!” When she finally managed to pull him into tree he laid sprawled out on the tree gasping, “Too scary, not use to being on this end of fear.”

Inara yelped a bit when Skip feel, nearly losing her grip and her footing. Still she held on and panted a bit. “Don’t worry I got you!” she called down when he was screaming at her not to let go. She pulled him up and let him go once he was safe again, seeing how panicked he was. “Hey! we can’t just stay here so listen you wrap yourself around my front lis a backwards piggy back ride and I’ll get us both out of here ok?” she asked him and hoped he would do as she asked as she didn’t ant to become cat food anytime soon herself.

Skip was very panicky which was completely out of character for him, but then again the collar that robbed him of his magic made him more fearful. He was nimble and weak. His impressive magic was the only thing that made him formidable aside form his natural abilities as a chameleon. He looks at Inara still scared, " but..but...what about black kitty?" The black kitty was on a lower branch licking at the back of it's paw like nothing was going on. The lynx continues circling the tree as they seemed to be in plotted move. Skip slowly tries to reach down for the kitty, but he kept retracting his hand as he found it difficult to maintain his balance as his body was constantly shaking.

She grumbled as she had not noticed the kitty before. “Once you are in my arms then I can pick up the kitty. Now please before the Lynx get us do as I have asked” she sighed. Time was of the essence and she really needed to get them both out of there and now. "No don't grab for the kitty. Wrap yourself about me and then I can grab the itty without falling. I have wings after all" she told him and gave him a reassuring smile.

Skip took a timt to look at the cat and then Inara. It seemed he had to make a decision and one fast as the Lynx was beginning to figure out how to slowly climb up the tree. It didn't hurt than Lynx were already use to climbing trees so it was a matter of time that they would learn how to climb this one. Skip dives clings to Inara, “Ok, get to safety.”

Inara breathed a sigh of relief as Skip would wrap himself about her, the girl far more used to climbing about in trees than he was and so much more sure footed. Once he was wrapped about her she muttered out a spell that would make ties appear to keep him in place as she now moved to quickly grab the cat. “got you!” she smiled and then gave the cat to Skip to hold onto since the magical ties would allow hm use of his hands.
At this point she climbed up through the the branches of the tree once more. She paid attention to the Lynx but focused more on her next hand hold and foot placement. When sh got to the point of not being able to climb any higher due to how heavy she was and the small nature of branches she would jump, just as the lynx jumped to grab at her.
Her large wings unfolded and she used all her strength to get lift, One lynx cutting into her leg with its claws before it fell and making her whimper. Still she kept flapping those wings harder until the three of them were in the air and safe once more. banking to catch a current Inara finally took a moment to rest, blood dripping from the cut on her leg to the land below but at least they were all safe.

Skip initially began to flail about at the sudden magical bindings that he wasn't warned about, "Oh no captured again!" He suddenly calmed down as she gave him the kitty. He panicked, "They getting close!" He tried to shield the kitty as she tried to climb higher. Perhaps the flailing resulted in Inara getting to that branch not quick enough that resulted in her catching a leg injury.
Skip eyes was closed for the early trip and winced as the kitty scratched at him as it was being held on too tight. When they finally landed Skip would hold the kitty close to the collar and it would scratch at where the lock was on the collar. The cat's claw would get stuck in it and it wiggled about in a certain way that somehow picked the lock freeing him.
Skip laughs, "Finally free, YES!" He then tossed the kitty to the ground. It would land and hiss at Skip before walking away. Skip looks at Inara with sinister eyes and would spit at her leg wound. If it managed to land it would first sting quite painful. But after a few moments the pain would slowly subside and she will notice the wound healing quick enough, "There Skip n strange winged creature even, bye bye until next time, hehehehe!" He would then suddenly run off vanishing as he camoflauged with his surroundings.
