It had happened so fast. Protea was dead, and her council seemed to have accepted a new ruler: Laelia Kaliba, the General who executed the Queen before their very eyes. There was no time to settle and let the implications of what she had done sink in. If she'd stopped to think about it, she'd surely be left reeling. But as of now, she was undaunted by the enormity of the tasks laid out before her. After all, she had seen numerous sovereigns through this very same period of transition. But never before had it been her name being called by the town criers on every corner of the Capital and beyond.
"Here ye, here ye! Treachery most foul discovered of our very own Queen Protea! The Queen's Council heard the confession from Protea's own mouth! She was behind the whole attack at her own Coronation! General Laelia Kaliba delivered justice, executed Protea and has taken the mantle of Queen! Long live Queen Laelia!"
She supposed she shouldn't have expected a quiet transition. As soon as she had summoned the former Queen's staff to appraise them of the situation, Laelia knew tongues would be wagging. She would need to be on top of them and ensure the information delivered to the public was accurate. Thus she didn't attempt to hush the rapidly spreading news, provided it was the truth.
To the citizens of the Capital, Laelia Kaliba was a household name. Since she was 14 years old, she had shed blood and sweat for the people of Tyran, defending them from all manner of threats from devastating floods to attackers. Thankfully, her reputation allowed the majority of the smallfolk to offer her grace in terms of the abrupt nature of her takeover.
Laelia had offered Protea's staff the opportunity to remain and continue their employment in her service, however she advised she would not hold a grudge against anyone who chose to leave. It seemed very few actually cared where their payment came from, so long as it was on time, and so few chose to submit their resignation.
The local soldiers of the Tyran Army surrounded the Capital to ensure a peaceful transition, making certain that no opportunistic force would attempt to capitalize on the hiccup in power.
She intended to continue on as she always had, only instead of providing advice and support to a monarch, Laelia would assume the mantle herself. In many ways, she merely cut out the middleman. She also made herself a target. It was something her father always said and something she had adopted. A crown made one a target. So be it. She was fine with that.
Now there was simply the news to be spread. Laelia didn't much care what the opinions of her would be, however if she was looked upon favourably it would be better for Tyran's future. And so once Protea's body had been removed, the council dismissed for the evening, and she was finally alone, she allowed herself to finally sit and write late into the night until the candles burned low and her fingers cramped, penning letters to each and every house, nation and clan of Tyran, informing them of Protea's treachery, of her execution, and that Tyran's General now called herself Tyran's Queen.

Ragnorak would let out a yawn as he had been extremely busy today. It wouldn't be long before a letter was dealt to him. He read the letter and sighs, “It's as the earlier letter suggests from our spies, the big thing that went down was that Queen's execution, her rule was so short I am not sure if she will be remembered in a number of years, oh well it is of little consequence.” Sky would speak, “Father it could be an issue if this Laelia person starts cutting what Protea did. It could cut short on our operations, such as our Oak agreement, plus we know not about the building of the castle, will she want it redone, is she canceling the project, we need to clarify that we lose nothing in this transition.” Ragnorak nods, “ wise my son, write a letter asking about the status on the new castle and the agreement between the Breteuils and Tyran. Also inform her that we shall be sending our representative to clarify and renegotiate any trade treaties.”
Sky tilts his head, “hmm, going to send Ronnie back over there, why would we need to know anymore than what is necessary.” The man smiled, “Son you have a lot to learn before you are ready usurp me, we need Ronnie to talk to this person, so we can know what kind of person she is, it would allow us to know how much we shall deal with her, this person is a warrior much like us, but she likely has her own ambitions and aspirations for Tyrans and we need to know what those are and if it's a risk to our goals, Ronnie is perfect for the job.
Now with all that said, a letter would be prescribed asking Laelia and her new court what is the status on the new castle and if the agreement made between the Breteuils and Tyran will be honored. The agreement that the workers would work and in exchange they can log in their oak forest as long as nature isn't disturbed to much. There was some mentioning of the eventual of Ronnie to come and comfirm all of these things, so she won't have to worry about writing back.

Received her letter from the General and now new Queen of Tyran. A shake of her head would be given. She had seen much in this land over the years, so the news of Queen Protea's betrayal would not surprise her. Prizma would look around the Rage Family War Room. She dipped a quill within the inkwell bottle and began to write upon a parchment.
General and Queen, If ever you need help, with anything, do not hesitate to call upon The Rage. ~Prizma
It was short, but she was always known to be one of few words. Prizma folded the parchment in thirds and grabbed her clay bar. Bringing it up, she held it over the flame of the candle on the desk in which she sat. When it began to drip, she pressed it against the parchment to hold it closed. Satisfied, she rest the parchment down and reached for the Rage symbol stamp, pressing it against the drying clay. Placing the stamp down, Prizma rose to her feet and moved to the window. Those baby blue hues fell upon her white messenger owl, Sonya. "Take this to the Generaland new Queen" she spoke, handing the owl the parchment. The owl took it within her claws and flew off towards the Capital.

Within the deep south, the construction of New Faror was going well. Hectate had been overseeing it herself, resting only to sleep and pulled away for other matters. This day was no different. Sitting on top of her winged horse, Orion, those blue hues watched as the finishing touches were being put on the castle. "My Queen! My Queen! A letter!" Hectate's gaze shifted from the workers and looked to the man holding the parchment. Her body leaned forward and reaching down with her right hand, she took it in hand, "Thank you Samuel"
Sitting back up, she opened the parchment and began to read it over. A shake of her head was given, glad now that she heeded her father's warning about Protea when she had thought about accepting Protea's invite to her ball and council.

(Queen Rita Tepes Xenothrin ) Rita would appear from a Rift next to Laelia and say " From the rubble of a great upheaval the Light will blanket the land, But in its shadow Evil will rise to claim its heart. The blade of Justice will strike true, Paying in blood Evils Due. " she gives an uneasy smile and asks " So what are you going to do now? With the contract void Tyr is free to do as he wishes in the capitol. Are you sure you have not struck down one evil just to fall victim to a greater?"

Monet Vargo received the news about her lover's actions and taking over the crown. A secret wicked satisfaction overwhelmed her and she chuckled out loud. "Well done, sun of my sky."
Looking off at nothing, she wrapped her arms about herself for a moment. "It seems even in death, your ambitions continue brother. Our lover, and your son... have taken Tyran. I hope that brings your soul some satisfaction Mordred."
When the time was appropriate, Monet was sure to take time to leave the tree she often rested at to watch over Laelia and Zephyr, and instead traveled to the area of where the castle was being erected. She did all the proper requirements of meeting a Queen and waited for her moment to be seen. Once with Laelia, she gave her a proper greeting.
"Queen Laelia Kaliba, congratulations on your ascension and long live the Queen." She held back the smirk that fought hard to show. Umbra stirred within her at the shifting of conflicting emotions.
Assuming there would be a moment where they could speak alone, she waited until then and once the time came she moved up to Laelia and took her in her arms and kissed her passionately. After a long moment she broke the kiss and grinned before stepping back and bowing to Laelia dramatically. "Well done... my Queen." She wouldn't take too much of Laelia's time, but to resist a visit now would be something she'd regret. Besides, who knew how much busier the General Queen would be now.

Ronnie BreteuilHaving received the letter from the Breteuil family, Laelia made the decision to have all written agreements brought to her so that she could learn what deals and treaties Protea had agreed to. She spent some time combing over the terms of the agreement that had been drafted between the former Queen and soon came to the agreement forged between the crown and the Breteuil family. She could understand why people may be nervous about the status of their deals now that Protea was dead. Laelia was under no obligation to hold to any terms, however if they were reasonable she saw no reason to create tension by cancelling the terms. And so Laelia put their minds at ease, writing back that she would indeed continue to hold to the arrangement struck to allow responsible logging in the oak forest in return for the labor done by the Breteuil workers. The castle was still to be built. She also remembered meeting Ronnie at the coronation, and added into the note that she would make time to meet with Ronnie when he came to the Capital.

PrizmaLaelia appreciated short and sweet. She valued efficiency and clear talk over flowery words and grandstanding any day. When the owl arrived with the message from The Rage, Laelia perused it briefly, for that was all the time it took to understand the meaning. The Rage were with her. She returned the favour of a message with a short and sweet one of her own. Prisma of The Rage, Your support is appreciated. If the Capital has need, I will call on you. Once the castle has completed construction, I hope you will pay a visit so that we may speak in person. Signed, Laelia Kaliba

ellinaSuddenly the subconscious alarm bells rang in Laelia's brain, the moment the rift opened beside her. Intruder. Laelia sprang from her chair and took several steps backwards, drawing Starscale, which bathed the tent in heat and light. For someone to simply gate in like that wasn't wise. In fact, where Laelia was concerned, it was dangerous. Her brow furrowed in irritation as she stared with disapproval at Rita, finally recognizing her. "Appearing from out of nowhere and unannounced is a good way to get oneself killed by accident." She said scathingly before slowly lowering her sword. "No other ruler has had a contract with a god. Tyran's citizens are free to worship as they will. If Tyr deigns to wreak havoc over the Capital, I will deal with it then. We are no more at risk than any other city in Tyran. Except I have no qualms against walking into the Temple of Evil and challenging Tyr myself if he does something I cannot abide by."

Perhaps she shouldn't have been surprised when Monet came to see her so quickly. She hadn't anticipated her lover would come to the site of the new castle being built, a castle that Laelia had destroyed in the first place.
But she had. And Laelia couldn't help but feel happy for it. She wasn't sure if Monet would approve of her decision to take the crown, or not. If it put Monet too close to the crown she had abandoned. Apparently that wasn't something Monet cared about.
"Thank you, Monet. It means a lot to me that you approve." Once the official greeting had taken place and Laelia accepted Monet's congratulations, they found themselves alone in Laelia's tent. The heavy canvas walls hid them from view such that even their silhouettes could not be seen.
She found herself being embraced, felt soft lips crushing against hers urgently. "Mmm." Laelia hummed appreciatively, taking a moment to indulge in her lover's kiss and affection before Monet pulled away and bowed with a flourish. The sight almost drew laughter from the serious General-Queen.
"I'm pleased that you approve, Darkling." It was strange, being called Queen. Certainly something that would take some adjustment.
A thought caused her to frown and she reached out to take Monet's hand. Her voice lowered. "Put Umbra to sleep if you can." She gazed at her lover meaningfully, pausing a moment before she continued.
"With her last breath, Protea beseeched Tyr to curse me and my descendants. I'm not concerned for myself." Monet knew very well that Laelia would not back down from a god if it came to it. "However...I worry that he may use you to harm me. If he even cares about the dying plea of a former queen. His contract is gone. But really, nothing much changes because of it." She shrugged.
"I just want you to be aware. And be cautious."

Pendragon had heard of the events from Cairogen before Laelias letter arrived. Normally he would have gone to see her himself but, couldnt in his current state. He sits down at a table and writes her a letter instead.
Laelia, Congratulations on your new title. You have my support if you need it though that isnt much right now. Im stuck in the form of a child until i can build my energy back up and my people are recovering from the crash. If something threatens your lands i will gather everything i can to help though.
Sincerely, King of a dead world Dracyl Pendragon McArther
P.S. Shoulda known you would take over on a bloody path (kidding)
Pen seals the letter with a grin on his face and sets it on the table. He looks around briefly to make sure Alena wasnt around (as she would chew him out for using his magic) then snaps his fingers. The letter lifted up a few inches before being encased in a type of crystalline magic then shot out the window towards the capital. It would fly into Laelia's tent and make a 'pop' sound as the crystal magic breaks dropping the letter either into her hands or on a table near her. On the letters front would be the McArther Seal:Attachments:

she chuckles and replies " True but these pointy sticks will not even scratch me so no need to worry, that said I do apologize for my entrance. as for the contract no other God has been as openly hands on as Tyr has and should you ever challenge him you know as well as I do you would die. Still to hear say you would die for this country with out hesitation or flair make me glad. now as Queen of Xenothrin I'm sure my husband is penning a letter stating something to the effect of XDC's loyalty is to the capitol not the person on the throne ... or something like that. " she summons and image of Tyran before the upheaval and it advances through time to the present. " This land has been through many leaders and just as many hard times. No doubt many will fear a warrior Queen, what will be your Legacy? that of peace or a campaign of conquest bring the powers of Tyran to heel? " as she says this 2 futures play out, one of warfair and blood shed the other of peace and trade " As Queen of Xenothrin the Capitol will always have my support but as Dragon Ancient of Time Know that I will not get involved with any conflicts " she she Gives Lealia a warm smile and says " Still if you ever need advice or someone to talk to just call and I'll be there. ellinaA pale brow lofted at Ellina's opinion. They both knew Laelia would die if she confronted Tyr? Laelia shook her head. "I know no such thing. You would do well not to underestimate me. Or this 'pointy stick' as you call it." She indicated the sword she had replaced in the scabbard. Her lips pursed briefly. "I know Tyran's history very well. I doubt Tyran will fear a Warrior Queen anymore than they did a Necromancer King." Laelia had proven herself to be a stalwart defender of Tyran, and a person of reason. "Tyran has been too often disrupted by changes of leadership. I intend my ascension to the throne to end that constant changing of hands. I have no desire to bring others under my heel. Tyran's prosperity is best assured when nations cooperate, but are independent. The Xenothrin have ever defended Tyran and I would have that continue. I do not seek loyalty for myself personally. A ruler serves the people. Not the other way around."

Rita would smile at Lealia's reply "Indeed, Perhaps you will be the Queen I saw. " she opens a Rift and steps in then looks back as it closes " Might I suggest a course of action? Protea created a Rift between the Capitol and the Isle of Light, Seeing as the Isle is the First line of defense to the capitols East It might be of sound strategic logic to ... Mend burnt bridges. Oh and please be patient with her Sakura may be a Ruler but she is still very young and has much to learn. "

When Sonya returned and nestled in the window, Prizma looked to the owl and rises from her chair. Those baby blues look to the white owl and moved towards her, noticing the message within her claws. A slight grin curled in the corner of her lips as she took the parchment from Sonya. Opening it carefully, those eyes began to read it over.
A nod of her head given at the invite. They would meet once the castle was finished. During the meeting, Prizma would let the General know that a backing from the Rage would also mean a backing from the Sef as well.

Ronnie would eventually be informed by a series of letters. Ronnie reads it carefully, “ ahh, so that's what happened. I suppose the family is happy that they can continue to log, no setbacks is good.” He stares into the night sky and says, “but now I have to go see the new queen just to gauge her value.” Ronnie would hop on Shrick, who would fly towards the castle area. He could see the construction project was coming along nicely. Upon arriving Shrick would transform into his Anthro like dragon form, wearing armor similar to what most dragons wear in the Xenothrins. It was an elastic type outfit that can confirm to the dragon, especially one's who size can grow and shrink. Ronnie meanwhile was back dressed in his usual attire of white and green blend, with his void sheath blade at his side and large clay more at back. He had cross daggers at his chest. His outfit was currently neat as he knew he couldn't approached the queen in shoddy clothe.
Ronnie knew he wouldn't be able to meet her right away as she most likely had many others she would be in constant meeting with. While waiting his turn he would gather some of the Breteuilian workers who was in the vicinity when Laelia made his bid for power. They would fill them in with the little they saw and their speculations and rumors that was spiraling around. Ronnie interest was piqued at what would become everything. He would get an idea when he finally get his chance with an audience with the new queen. It would be interesting, considering if what he heard true, she was the one to identify the queen alleged “Treasonous crimes.” Ronnie didn't agree that she deserved punishment, but who was he, he held no authority over Tyran capital politics.

The time had finally come it was finally time to meet the queen and determine what kind of queen we have. Ronnie already had a poor view of the queen. Despite many kingdoms eagerly accepting Laelia after her questionable rise to power. Ronnie also heard a little about her reputation, but he didn't have much personal experience with her besides that one dance and that mini conversation after that coronation. Shrick would land on the outskirt of the building area where the new castle was being made. Ronnie would approach the area and tell a guard that he was here to meet with Queen Laelia. He announced that he was Ronnie the representative of Breteuils. He waited were he was for the guard to go dispatch Laelia whom was likely doing some task in regards to building the castle or handle some other royal matter.
It wasn't long before Ronnie would spot a woman striding purposefully in his direction. Platinum tresses were pulled back from her face and braided to keep her hair out of the way while she was working. Her clothing was simple, made for working and showed it was being used for that purpose. Progress on the castle had grown exponentially, and soon the essential living areas would be complete and ready to house personnel. Thankfully the kitchen had been one of the first areas to be finished after the foundation and basement had been completed. Hot, hearty meals were imperative.
As Laelia approached, her ice blue gaze swept over Ronnie with a look of appraisal. "Breteuil." She said with a nod, extending her hand in preparation for a firm handshake. "I was made aware that you would be coming."
Ronnie eyes glances towards Laelia and recognized her from the coronation, this would technically be a first meeting as the last time they met Ronnie spent most of the time behind a mask. Now she could see his light brown skin. Ronnie was dressed in different clothes, he was dressed in his standard light warrior garb of light white n green theme light armor, and leather. Ronnie had only his sword at his side and two daggers wielded at his chest and his claymore sword at his back. Ronnie makes a light bow when she reaches him initially. He would then extend his hand to shake her hand firmly, "Nice to meet you again Queen Laelia, seems a lot has changed since the last I met you."

"And you as well." She replied. Laelia believed you could tell a lot about a person by their handshake, and she appreciated a steadfast grip. "So it would seem. I decided to heed your suggestion after all." Admittedly his demand to investigate the coronation debacle hadn't been the motivating factor behind the coup, but she remembered it all the same.
"I'd prefer to get down to business. As you can see, there is still a lot of work to be done." She gestured to the stone being raised around them. "Would you care to sit?"
Ronnie followed along as Laelia seemed intent getting down to the purpose of his visit and getting down to business. Ronnie would speak, "Hmm, I see, I heard about the results of that investigation, also how have been the workers of Breteuil have they pulling their share of the weight. Ronnie needed to make sure they where setting themselves apart from the typicl worker. Ronnie would nod to her offering him a seat and would seek and would look over at the queen as he would be prepared to begin his intent meeting with Laelia, he already kind of set the stage with one of his prior responses.
Laelia settled in a high backed chair across from Ronnie, posture straight but relaxed. "Yes. An unfortunate situation." Said, referring to the investigation, but seemed more interested in Ronnie's inquiry about the workers. "The workers do your family proud. They're competent and efficient. I prize those attributes, truly." She said seriously. Then again, it was rare when Laelia Kaliba wasn't serious.
Ronnie nods and smiles, "That is good then they are honoring their end of our arrangement, I am glad, by the way the Breteuils have finished their logging of the oaks, well as much as they could without interfering with nature according to agreement, I also will like to state on behalf of the Breteuils we are appreciative of you allowing us to finish our agreement." Ronnie wanted to make sure he got all of his appreciative out of the way.

"Of course." She said with a nod. "I saw no reason not to allow it to continue. It was mutually beneficial. I'm pleased you were able to get what you needed. I look forward to future cooperative prospects between your family and the Capital." Laelia observed Ronnie in silence, trying to assess his angle. "But somehow I don't believe this is all you wanted to discuss."
Ronnie listens attentively and would respond, "Well we didn't get all we needed, we just merely got what we agreed upon, but we will continue seeking areas to get logging, but that may be a conversation for another time, you are correct, this was merely the easy part of the conversation. My main purpose here is to assess what your angle is and gaining at least a general view of what you are about. You have to admit it has to be somewhat questionable to your rise to power. Things seem very convenient to your rise to power and general acceptance."
"I completely admit it." Laelia said, leaning back in her chair, hands upon the arms. "There is very little about a change in power that isn't questionable."
"I understand that you do not know much about me, what my role in Tyran has been and my history with the last several rulers of Tyran. I have been at the side of Tyran's last 5 monarchs, advising them and protecting them. Raelle Deleon, Mordred Vargo and Monet Vargo, Sapphire Vargo, and Protea Kyanite. Five Monarchs. Each one of them has done something disappointing and completely against my advice until we are at where we are now. I have given others a chance. Tyran has been plagued by instability because of this revolving door of rulers for long enough. I am now taking it upon myself to provide Tyran the stability it needs. My son, is Mordred Vargo's son. The line os succession from the Vargos will continue when my son Zephyr inherits the throne from me."
"If I had wanted a convenient rise to power, I would have taken the throne of Tyran before I helped Raelle Deleon take it. Or I could have married Mordred Vargo when he asked me to, and become Queen that way. If there is one thing you can trust, Ronnie Bretuil, it is that I did not take a convenient path to power. In fact, I avoided it for as long as possible."
Tempest stood and sighed it was about time he payed a visit to the new queen of tyran he would walk to the building site of what he perceived as the castle, hoping she did not mind he was unannounced...heck he is the king of dragons he was privy to somethings. Coming across a few guards that asked him what business he had with the queen..he answered them with.."Dragon kingdom business..why would there be any other.." One guard went in to inform the queen while the other stayed were temp was of course there would be tons of guards...not that he would do anything but yeah..no sh.. guards were needed.

Ronnie listened to the queen give a rather informational and honest account to why she rose to power. Although Ronnie could agree with her reasoning. It seemed less about her taking to power because of that one incident in what Protea done, but seemed to be preventing more poor choices she probable would of made if she had excused it. Ronnie did not believe Laelia had just cause to end her life, but he could understand if she ended it because she was tired of the history of outright poor decisions of the past rulers, if she wanted vengence she could of found better ways of getting it without involving her own people at the cross hairs, especially using a power she wasn't use to. Ronnie speaks, "I see, so you took to power because you believe not only yourself but your bloodline will do a better job, well let me ask you a question the same I asked Protea, "If you had the life of your citizens on a scale and someone you considered a trusted friend or family on scales. Who do you prefer saving a friend at the cost of many lives of your citizens or saving the friend, which do you choose." Ronnie looks to the side as the guard he spoke to earlier had come in to tell Laelia that Tempest wanted to see her.
"Myself and my bloodline have been defending Tyran for decades. We make hard choices when others aren't able to. To answer your question, someone I truly call 'friend' or family would be competent enough to expect they would get themselves out of whatever situation they are in, or at least survive until I was able to reach them. The people of Tyran come first. They always have for me. Any true friend of mine would understand that."
As the guard came to announce Tempest's arrival, Laelia glanced at Ronnie with a raised brow. "I trust you don't mind if another joins us?" She then nodded to the guard to lead the Dragon King to join them.
Once Tempest arrived, Laelia gestured to another chair. "Sit if you like, King Tempest." She said. "To what do I owe this surprise visit?"
Tempest enters after the guards allow him to. He bows to both ronnie and the queeny in fareasternly style then rose in respect then spoke.."Thank you queen kaliba.."He would take a seat were she pointed out and spoke.."The usual ya know dragon kingdom..see how things are going, ya know make sure things are in the up and up. I'm a stickler for caring for tyran and its people as well as my own they are all like family."He only said making sure he placed his mane into a tail so his facial features showed...

: ROnnie eyes Tempest as he walked in and spoke to Laelia and he seemed to not have noticed his presence as of yet as he had been sitting waiting on Laelia's response, Ronnie spoke, "Good timing then Lord Tempest as Laelia was just about to tell me who she would value more her personal friends and accomplices or the general lives of the citizens of the people she rules." Ronnie smiles as he looks at Laelia wanting to see if she would change any at a new set of eyes especially one of Tyran capital biggest supporters. Ronnie hadn't like Protea response, would he liked Laelia's? Ronnie heard her give a response, "So if you had one chance to save your friend it failed, and you had other opportunities but it would result to significant loses to your people, you will still choose the people?"
"Yes, the usual. You never change, King of Dragons." The corner of Laelia's mouth lifted slightly. "I'll summarize for Tempest. I essentially said that my friends can take care of themselves and that the collective people of Tyran come first."
"Reality is never quite so black and white, Breteuil." Laelia smirked. "But in your hypothetical situation, I believe I made myself clear that I would chose the needs of the many over the needs of the few. Keep in mind that 'the needs of the many' do not always equal 'the most lives saved'."
"Huh she read my mind..."Tempest furrowed his brow a laelia looking like a dragonic version of mr spock, but chuckles to her comment."Nope to stubborn ta change now to old for that tho i can adapt to new things..."He looked to ronnie the to the queen.*

Ronnie smiles as she gave a brilliant answer, Ronnie initially felt her earlier claims suggesting she felt that she could of done a better job than her predecessors was out of the usual arrogance that many often display. Many of the questions he had planned had been answered, she truely done what she done for the people and Ronnie knew there would times some important people had to be prioritized as their lost of life could result to greater sufferrings. She knew this and she knew who she would dedicate her time for. Ronnie still had but one thing he needed confirmation, "I see, a great answer, I did not originally feel this way, but you already have the tools to be much better than your predecessors." Ronnie nods a bit to Tempest and spoke, "I have one last question before my departure, "What do you intend to do with the council that Protea put together, do you plan to eventually disband it, if my sources are correct most of the council would be very unreliable, but what do you think." Ronnie made sure to choose his words carefully so that Tempest wouldn't imply that Ronnie also believed he would be unfit on the council, which is why said many and not all.
It seemed Ronnie had understood exactly what she had meant by her somewhat cryptic answer and while she didn't smile, the expression in her eyes indicated his understanding pleased her. "I am pleased to have won your confidence, Breteuil."
She considered his question for a moment before replying. "You see, the thing about the council is that they are simply that: A council. They are there to provide information and opinions. It is entirely in my hands whether I wish to agree with their suggestions or not. I trust you have seen enough of me now to know that I am not the type to bow to pressure, and that there is an independent brain between my ears. The council is not a democracy, they are simply a sounding board. I may chose to add or subtract members in time based upon the value of their contributions as I come to view them."
She glanced at Tempest. "You and I agree, for the most part it seems."
Tempest said, "In away indeed everyone has a right to agree or disagree with things as i see a council is only to add what they think err in my case wisdom if she feels the need ta bend s free trees..forgive the metaphor, thats up ta her...though i like to hope my wisdom is taken at face value. I'm not asking to be agreed with all the time no ones exactly right or wrong depending on the situation at hand.."

Ronnie listens and it seems like she probable would keep them around as just for opinions as opposed to people who would help them rule, which is probable for best, they already proven to be makeshift allies as Protea died and none seemed to care that the person they claimed some degree of loyalty would abandon her so hastely. Ronnie rises, "Well I believe I have gained enough information to form an accurate portrayal of you. I believe you are a ruler that will be good for Tyran and I look forward to set future possible trade deals that benefit us both mutually." Ronnie stands and bows to both Tempest and Laelia. Ronnie knew Laelia was busy she had to supervise over the building projects while also be subjected to distractions such as having important like visitors she had to meet with. Ronnie would then take his leave and somewhat surprise he didn't have to result to other actions he planned to take if he couldn't trust Laelia, not that he fully trusted her, but he respected her more than before at the very least. More so than Protea who didn't seem to value the people as much as she implied in his opinion.
