For almost all of her young life Azula had been sent away to the best schools and finally when she was old enough she had been sent to a consort school over seas. And when azula returned an adult. Bertha saved her for the richest and most influential men of the world not necessarily tyran.
And Azula had secure them a patreon. Besides her profit from the actual brothel and gambling hall it's self. Bertha was quit rich. She didn't expect alot of people at her funeral.only those who felt it was respectful to come and a few that actually thought she was a decent person.
Bertha had done alot of things when she knew her time was coming . She had set some of her favorites her loyal ones up with some sort of way to support themselves after she died.
OTTO had a small tavern with a small but steady stream of buisness.and an inheritance box
SAM: was on her way to be married to an old man and then inherit his small residence and land when he died . Bertha had secured a set of very nice clothes for her and inheritance
LIGHTNING: would receive enough money, that she could do as she pleased with the rest of her life.
DEVIN:was finally allowed to fall in love marry and live out his dream of owning a farm . And he would have received the largest sum of money for he wasnot only her ex lover but her sidekick for many many years.
All of them also revived money .
That was the equivalent of the people.sje cared about
Her daughter Azula would receive everything else including the brothel itself , all the riches and money Bertha had required and her ashes .

The funeral itself would be Along a row of trees that we're just blooming for spring. The pictures that Bertha had commissioned would be set up. Strangly she had no paintings of her and and Azula because she mostly kept Azula a secret and this would be the first time many of her people would be seeing Azula as Bertha had kept her hidden and away and Azulas feet never entered the brothel.
Bertha had planned her funeral before she died and prepaid for everything . While her body had been creamted by her daughter which she asked her to do.
A fake body would be placed in a casket. One made of flesh and bone that looked exactly like Bertha. It was her twin. No one would know , not even her daughter , untill she read the will, that Bertha had a twin. She was killed and her body kept perfectly perserved at 60 years old through magical means , which is how old Bertha said she was.
The body was dressed in Bertha's finest dress and her hair was done in a wonderful way next to the body would berthas cane that she used to beat her whores with. Around the casket would be flowers upon flowers that adorned her casket making Bertha look like something of a saint more then a brothel madam.
The casket itself would be the finest one that money could buy.
She had even hired a few professional mourners.
Her daughter of course would be the speaker.

Ronnie surprising showed up to Bertha's funeral, mostly because he was curious if there was any successors to her business. If not it would be a good opportunity to procure her business and convert it into something beneficial for his organization. He wasn't that interested in seeing her body. He would notice all the things that Bertha did to prepare for her death. Ronnie shakes his head thinking some of it was unnecessary excessive, but feels that it was to be expected.

Tiana showed up out of respect. She knew Devin was glad that Bertha was gone and wouldn't come to the funeral, but she thought it was the right thing to do. If it wasn't for Bertha, Devin and her would have never met. In part, she was grateful for her.
