Maggie was on top of the world the first place she went to was berrie's she knocked on the door gitturn in hand ready to start her lesson
Pio opens the door to maggie and smiles at her "Welcome miss Maggie, come sit by the fire."
She does as she is asked .. " that k you pio !" She grabs her up and hugs her tightly before setting her down
Pio squeals and giggles as she is grabbed up, then kisses Maggie on the cheek "You are nice."
She smiles at pio " thank you again pio so are you !"
Pio smiles "Of course I am, I am neko." she brushes off her kimono "Would you like tea?"
She nods her head
Pio smiles again and scampers off to make tea. Berri comes out of the bedroom with a smile for Maggie "You seem happy today."

She smiles at berri " your looking at corprol McArthur , just got my promotion tonight " she beams at her proud as proud could be at herself
Berri looks at Maggie with a face that looks torn between pride, and yelling at her. She settles at last on sitting in her chair and staring into the fire.
She looks at berri and starts to strum on her gitturn the wrong way mind you .. she was doing it on purpose because she knew berri couldn't resist saying something to her
Berri sighs "Maggie come sit with me awhile." and motions to the chair "Leave the gittern, we won't be using it tonight."

She sighs and she doesn't leave her gitturn though she takes it with her ..but she sits down beside her in the chair by the fire
Berri takes a cup of tea from pio and pio offers one to maggie as well. Berri sighs again "I am worried about you in the military, proud of you I suppose to making a plan and sticking to it but...also furious I think
She listens to berri and she takes her tea " why furious ?" She didn't understand " haven't you notice since I joined the military it's even made me a better musicians .. I am much more clear headed , structured.. I can even write a song better . And I'm not coming here every other day because I got into fight with my family , you have to admit , it's done me more good then harm "

Berri nods "It has, but I am worried it will not always be so. Have you seen the soldiers that come back from war? The way it affects them, especially when war cripples them. I worry your talent will be thrown away in some bloody field somewhere, trambled under the hooves of calvery, or drained out by the knives of those who would threaten the queen."
She looks at her " I'll actually requested to be part of the military that travels. And our queen , is also a general, I trust her that she would not order her men into battle on just a whim , she did after all kill the old queen , because the old queen didnjustbthat threaten her people on a whim , even when the primordial was threatening the capital , she only called for violence if it showed violence . , She has not called to destroy or to expand tyran boarders needlessly. " She could understand her concern " and honestly berrinif someone was threatening the queen or tyran I would join the fight with or without being in the military ...iean the whole reason I joined the military was because I wanted to lob some undead heads off , at least I've grown past that " she winked at her
Berri doesn't seem amused by the last part "I never said she would do anything on a whim. The things I mentioned happen even when military is only used at 'need'" she snorts at that "A waste of your talent." she rises from the chair "Too young and too inexperienced to be doing this, but I suppose I am rpoud of you on some level."

She looks at berri " how is this a waste of my talents ... I'll be traveling the world berri .I can learn from grand muscians all.over the world . I can come back home and you can me help me hone my talents ..just like your doing now .. I may be young but I understand what I'm getting into .. and yes I will admit their are alot of things I don't understand and I have been very niave ..on lots of things like sex ..but I am nit niave to death destruction ..being left behind or abandoned . But at least any death I see now will have purpose even if it is for a need of one person . ..before it was just because they can
She sighs " really because you don't act proud of me in anyway .. you've only ever yelled at me for being foolish "
Berri leans on the back of the chair gripping it tightly "You could do all those things without joining the military and..." she shakes her head growling softly and then takes a series of deep breaths as the chair back creeks ominously with the force of her grip "I yell at you for being foolish because I care about you. I am proud of your dedication, even if I think you are dedicated to a fools errand." she shoves the chair and it flies into the wall with a crash and she yanks the door to the house open "I am going for a walk."

Maggie watches her leave ..her eyes start to fill with tears .. she brushes them away quickly .. and she walks out of the house .. and starts to sing with cracking voice as she leaves the house .. long long journey into darkness ..long long way to go ......but what are miles .. and what is sadness to a heart that's going home .. " ..she let's out a deep sigh pushing back the tears she stares off into the distance " good bye Berri " ....she makes her way back to her room knowing in the end she made the right decision for herself .
Berri hadn't gone far and leans on a tree her forehead pressed hard against the bark and back shaking obviously upset, too much so to hear when Maggie leaves.
She made her way back to her room she rented in night have practiced her gitturn on the bed.. she swollowed Everytime she felt a tear, coming she would not cry . She promised herself that from now on . And slowly her tears stopped . And they did not dare enter her eyes for the rest of the night . She sighed and laid down in bed .
