Maggie took a look at placement of the sun " oh no ! I lost track of time I'm supposed to meet my queen general for the the briefing of my capture of that Regna sef guy " she ran out of the tower as fast she could which was pretty fast considering she was of fae kind . She threw on her fancy army suit for when they marched in parades and such .
As she rushed out her her little room in nighthaven she was tucking and buckling things as she went . Heading for the portals her father set up . Ashe sat down in just out side the castle gates slipped her boots on .. and the went up to the gate .

"Her Majesty is awaiting you, Corporal. Congratulations on capturing the wanted Sef." The guard ushers Maggie inside to where the Queen was waiting in the great hall. As Maggie entered, Laelia rose to her feet from the throne upon the dais and the corner of her mouth lifted slightly. "You never cease to surprise me, Corporal." She remarked wryly.

Maggie bowed to the queen as she was ushered in and gave a smile in return but she tried to be professional " thank you I did what every man who served you would do, had they found him, as I found him general . " she still had no hair from the blue flame , but her body was completely healed thanks to her father alchemy .

"You are the one who did so, at great personal risk to yourself against an opponent who was far more experienced. I am impressed with you yet again. I am very pleased with you, and I am very proud. The reward is yours. You may have your choice: The coin I planned to offer or a magical weapon of equal value."
"And of course..." She descended from the dais and removed a small item from her coat pocket. Reaching out she proceeded to remove the corporal pin from her uniform and replace it with one that denoted her rank as sergeant.

Maggie could not have been any prouder of herself at this moment . It was true . It was either blind luck . Or just the fact that she paid attention during drills and spars and the occasionally skirmish . But it paid off and she has indeed captured a foe who probably had centuries of experience over her.
To hear that someone was proud of her brought tears to her eyes, but for the sake of professionalism she held them back . She stood tall proud shoulder back when the Sargent pin was places on her jacket . She saluted when she was finished with the pinning ceremony.
" I would like the weapon general queen " that would serve her greater in the long run . And that would be peice she could show the world for years to come. Money could be gathered anywhere .

She nods to her she stood at attention and listened to her queen general intently. She would not let her down. She would continue to perform her duties even her new responsibilities with the care , efficiency and effectiveness as all her other responsibilities before . Maggie's eyes widened that was a lot of responsibility! Then her eyes went into a slight bit of hurt when the mention of family came, but that was all the emotion that was shown. If only she could spend what time she had with them. " This is probably as good a time as any to tell you , I eloped with Sampson but a few days ago . So if anything happens he will need to be the first informed and to get any benefit from my death , we are staying in night haven I'll inform the records keeper of my new address."

Maggie was actually relived that Laelia did not press the issue . She didn't want to explain it to anybody one more time , plus it would ruin an absolutely perfect moment . And the moment she had been waiting for . For her idol the one person she wanted personify more then anyone in this world and that was Laelia. She didn't know about Laelia's personal life and Laelia didn't need to know about hers. Thus far ,besides that one incident, had never affected her military career . " Thank you " which was thank you for more then one reason .
