When he wasn't repairing the temple stone, he had crafted a new forge and stayed long hours trying to make a new life away from the temples. The first steps in building a town was the easiest. Gathering supplies and begin the framework. If this was to become a free zone from the gods, he knew he would eventually need to return to reality and go visit Amika. Staying no more than a couple hours at a time and always different times to lower the chance of being chastised by the fallen son of grace.

Time.. so much time and so little of it all in the same instance. It was a moment before soft steps were drawing her petite frame forward, through the ruins only two people knew about as far as she knew.. she wore simple grey cotton pants and a long sleeves shirt of the same material. Soft soled shoes were easy on the stones and moss beneath her feet… golden fire hues flickered over the vines… growth. Red locks were braided neatly down her back resting in the middle. She’d followed the sounds of work.. until her eyes found Baracus and his forge.. a smile curved along pale pink lips, “progress” her words were soft, but strong enough to be heard without the use of magic.. as if she were reserved here, respectful and quiet..

She would see the large red demon about 20 yards away holding a large stone boulder much larger than any mortal could lift and hold as he hammered away with his other hand several metal spikes to temporarily hold it back in place as he mixed up more mortar. "So the prodigal girlfriend returns." He spoke with a hint of irritation in his voice. Smearing the plastered paste into the cracks and around the sides to evenly layer the coating. "Let me guess? He has reconsidered...no time for us mortals out here doing what he is supposed to be doing?" He would look back to her with some spackle on his face. Muttering under his breath. F-ing knew the kid couldn't be trusted.

The large red demon spoke, and she laughed.. the delighted sound carrying up and away from her, “fiancée” she told him correcting him, but honestly she was teasing him in a way.. she shook her head, “no.. he has not reconsidered that I know of.. I have not seen him” a shoulder lifted in a half shrug and she moved to sit on a half wall that would hold her.. and didn’t have anything currently growing on it. The spackle had her laughing, “perhaps not..” she told him of his muttering..

He would make sure the stone would stay while it dried and walked over to his forge. Taking the bucket of dirty water and washing some up onto his face and chest washing some of the worst off. "So if he isnt canceling..." His eyes darted to her. "AMIKA!? Is she alright?"
AabyaToday at 9:37 PM
She was looking around.. her eyes flickering over the vines before he was yelling at her. She blinked and focused on him, she drew in a breath, “Amika is well as far as I know…” she told him shaking her head, “I came to visit this place.. and see how you are doing” she considered him.

His heart returned to normal pace as he heard Amika was alright. "My apologies...Still trying to figure out why I even register on your checklist." He had written off many as of late due to the politics of this and that and he was just tired of giving validity to those who didn't deserve it. "Im be doing better once this place is finished." He took a seat opposite of her about 7 yards away. "Id offer tea and such but I dont eat or drink except for fun."

Eyes narrowed and her head tilted as she watched him, “perhaps because you will be married to my friend and the father of her child..” she told him in soft tones, “perhaps it is because you are the father of a man I love..” she did not speak of the God.. “perhaps because you will be my child’s grandfather..” she continued, “or perhaps it is just because I enjoy your company and count you as a friend.. even if you don’t trust me” she told him and then shook her head, “I would decline such an offer, thank you though..” she was genuine in that. “What do you plan to do here?” she looked around, as if the prior conversation did not matter because honestly it didn’t, “rebuild… for whom?” she wondered, not judging, but curious as to his plans for his mother’s temple.

He looked around and tried to show her the place in his eyes. "For anyone who wants to get away from the bullshyt. No gods, no tweaker twins, no harassment...just people who chip in and are willing to provide their talents for the good of those here. A truly neutral place where people can feel at peace."

As he spoke she nodded.. she could see that.. and hoped for it.. she shifted and slipped from the wall.. running her fingers along it.. “I hope so” she told him and meant it.. she moved thorough the ruins… and smiled before turning toward the way she had come, “you don’t have to trust me Baracus, but it would be nice to be welcome..” she told him before offering a wave and then she was gone.. back the way she had come.

As she left he returned to his work. He already had most of the temple repaired, and had hired a crew to assist him with constructing a few homes, a townhouse, and a small tavern for entertainment. He was putting in many hours and days into this that he hadnt tracked anyone since leaving the Sefs and their mourning rituals. You could get alot done not stopping to eat or sleep.
