On the first day of the New Light Festival, which the staff of the temple had been preparing for setting up many candles and decorations representing life and its willingness to persevere. Garland of holly berries and leaves were strung around the temple, pine wreathes encircled various stands of Candelabras of numerous counts. One of the Candelabras in the center of the temple near the altar held Nine candles, eight of them encircling a central pillar candle which was blue in coloration, the other candles nearby were white. It was on this first day that the Blue candle was lit with the candle directly north of it being lit as well, all others remained unlit, but one would light each day till all 31 candles were lit. It was on this first day that those dedicated to the Temple of Light, the staff and its followers, were each given their own personal tea candle with a note. "Even the smallest of flames can penetrate the dark."

((On an OOC note feel free to post responses to this if you want and to also start your own threads of ideas such as what one of the services might be like etc.))
Day 2: On the second day of the New Light Festival the candles had remained in the same spot and though they had been lit and had burned all the day and all the night, it appeared as though the candle's wax was never touched. At the dawn of light Izanth awoke and made her way to the altar room and lit the candle directly south of the blue candle, using the pillar candle then replacing it. She smiled at the flames as they flickered and gave a small touch to her father's altar before she moved to her quarters. It was there that she would find the second day's gift, the gift all members of the light received and the note. "To remind us all that fortune may change at any turn." Izanth looked down at the small top with odd runes upon it, a dreidel.

Day 3: On this day the light of the west was lit along with the one for the north and south. On this day the members of light received an empty box. "Today's gift is to remind you of the good fortunes you have but do not see."

Day 4: Today a new decoration was added to the church of light and to the temple of light. Hanging around the perimeter of the room were small socks maybe no bigger than a fist. They had been hung up by temple staff and written beneath each sock was the name of a child or person in need in Tyran. "To those who feel they have nothing to offer, how wrong you may be, but we have heard your plight and so now give you an offering instead." However for day four the socks remained empty aside from a small note which was nothing more than a paw print, a promise of a blessing to come from the god of light. In turn each member of Dennizen's temple also received a sock of similar size and a note with the gift that simply read: All good things come to those who wait.

Day 5: The pillar candle, the candles to the north, south, west, and east had been lit by day four and today the candle to the northwest was lit. As for the socks each seemed to contain a small item within as they hung differently today. But they were not to be given to the needy yet, they were to build up an array of gifts for over the year. In the meantime though the families had been offered to come to the Temple of Light and partake in a feast every night where they were given a few smaller things such as some clothes to keep them warm. As for the staff the socks they were given the day before, today seemed to house a gift as well, the same gift as the first one given to the needy, a small gold coin. "To remind us of the treasures we have."

Day 6: Today the candle to the southwest was lite along with the others and yet another gift was added to the socks for the needy that hung around the temple. Still they remained rather small and insignificant it appeared in the long run, but by the end of the festival they would help at least a few families to survive the harshness that may come. As for the gifts to the staff they did not receive anything further in their socks, instead they received an oil pitcher full of oil. "That your light may never fade, and your passion continue to burn."

Day 7: The candle to the southeast was lit along with the previous ones and yet another gift filled the stockings around the temple. Meanwhile to the staff Dennizen had given each of them a bracelet that would enhance their natural abilities. "To remember that all things cycle around and there is no beginning and no end to the light."

Day 8: Today the last candle on the Candelabra closest to the altar was lit. Eight white candles and the central blue pillar candle. Today's gift from the god to the staff was a similar Candelabra to the one that had been lit these first eight days of the New Light Festival. "Remember to always stay centered and may the light you have shine on all things."

Day 9: The first Candelabra had been lit, the temple decorated, stockings for the needy being filled. On the start of the ninth day new decor was added, some lovely blue bows all around the temple, and the candelabra that had been closest to the altar was now placed further from it and a new Candelabra took its place. This one held five tapered candles of all different colors slowly spiraling upward. On it the bottom candle, a pink one, had been lit from the same blue pillar candle that seemed to start it all. Meanwhile the staff each received a miniature statue in their likeness. "To remind you all of how unique you are, and how very beautiful you all are to me."

Day 10: Today the next light in the staircase of candles was lit, this candle was a lavender coloration. To each of the staff today a rock and chisel were given. "Nothing is set in stone." Some may not have understood this gift but it dealt with old fortune telling methods. Anyone familiar with traditions of Jinhye would have understood what the gift meant. Dennizen meanwhile curled up with a yawn as he looked out over the temple and the land. "The days grow shorter yet, but soon will be our time of light once again."

Day 11: Today's candle, a deeper shade of violet, and the third in succession along the staircase styled candelabra was lit along with the all the previously lit candles, which only now seemed to start to have wax drip from them, and yet they appeared as though the could continue to burn day and night till the end of the festival. Today's gift was a difficult gift to collect as there were only a handful of people, namely three known entities, that could create them, and of those three only one of them could make them in the manner Dennizen had intended, or maybe they were the only ones who cared to. But today's gift to the staff was a memory rose, no not with it this time though. But there would be a pleasant feeling about these roses. Each one was unique to each staff member and held with it a memory of Drennizen's that contained the individual in it. One of their favorite memories of them, whether it had been the meeting after he first ascended, or a memory from long ago. Each staff would get the blessing and the gift to see for themselves how Dennizen saw them and why he cherished each of them the way he did.

Day 12: (sorry I forgot to post this earlier today, I meant to.) The next candle in succession had been lit today, a dark royal purple one. Today's gift was a small personal mirror to all the staff, nothing special about the mirror, just an ordinary mirror. "The answers we seek are often within."
(and since I am posting now I might as well do the next day as well)
Day 13: The last candle on the second candelabra was lit today, a black one. Two candelabras were now shining their light from their candles all across the temple and in their light small etchings could be seen of the various accomplishments of the light and its followers, all sketched out in gold it would seem. Today's gift to the staff was a small holly like plant from Dennizen's old home, Blutschmeckt. "To remember that even in the darkest of times life can push through and shine something new and wonderful into existence."

((This one will be another one that has two days. My mind wasn't focusing well initially yesterday))
Day 14: Today the second Candelabra had been moved away from the altar to another corner or area of the altar room, as with Dennizen's temple there where no corners. In it's place a Candelabra holding six candles was now centered looking very much like a set of parallel tridents. The two central candles in this one were Navy blue, the two to the left of the central candle were blue, and the two to the right Carolina blue. It was on the first day one of the Carolina blue candles had been lit. The presents for both the needy and the staff continued to grow. Today for the staff everyone had received a tapered candle. "That the light you have may ever continue to grow."
Day 15: Today the next flame was lit, the Navy blue candle beside the Carolina Blue candle. The lights were almost halfway through and the temple somehow looked as though not much more light could be cast about. Perhaps though that was all an illusion from Dennizen. One may never know. But the gold etchings, the holly, the pointsettas, all the decor held a certain awe to them with the way the light reflected off each piece. Today the staff each received a bottle of wine. "To remember all the flavour life has to offer us."

((another 2 days. I apologize I was very busy yesterday, but you all know that many are busy currently.))
Day 16: The blue candle on the first row was lit today completing one side of the trident. In the air of the temple today incense was burned and the fumes permeated the air and lingered like fog through the altar room. The gift given to the staff today was a weeks worth of the same incense that was burned. "We all must cleanse ourselves before we can cleanse others."
Day 17: The blue candle on the second part of the Candelabra was lit today. The incense continued to be burned and fill the altar room without becoming overbearing. Meanwhile Pine cones were being gathered and turned over to hold within them spices to be hung around the altar room on the first day of yule which was only a few days away. Today's gift to the staff were similar spices that were used as part of the decoration. "To remember that spice that life can offer us."

Day 18: Today the second Navy blue candle in the candelabra had been lit and the etchings of gold seemed to dance in the haze and vapors of the incense that was continuing to be burned. If one looked about the altar room today they may notice hints of flames passing by that didn't belong to the candles. But if one turned to catch these they would see nothing there. Today's gift to the staff was a perfume "After we cleanse we make ourselves anew."

Day 19: Today the last Carolina Blue candle and the last candle on the two trident Candelabra had been lit. Those figures that danced around in the haze the previous day seemed stronger today and the flames that flickered in the corner of one's eye became more clear, more tangible. Each shape and figured though still appeared as a soft blur. Today lanterns were also added to the decor of the temple. The gift given to the staff however was a shawl. "A reminder of the veil between life and death. And how on certain occasions these veils are lifted."

Day 20: The two trident Candelabra had been moved to another corner and replaced with a five pronged Candelabra of four white candles and one gold tapered candle. The candles burned ever lower and the first of the white candles on this new Candelabra was lit. The smoke and haze filled the room and those flickers of flames people had been seeing become fully embodied and walked around the temple's grounds partaking of the feast of food that was set out. Tonight there would be a bonfire on the outskirts of the Temple that would be fueled all night, a representation to call forth the new light for the new year on this the longest night. Tonight would be the night Izanth would toss the stone she etched her name into into the flame to see what fortunes awaited much as in the same way her parents had. The gift to the staff today would be their own personal Yule logs. "Our flames and fires will never die. Let us show the world that our light will not fade."

Day 21: As the night came to an end the bonfire began to turn to embers and soon those who tossed their stones into the flame would be able to gather them as the day cooled down and snow began to fall around the temple. Inside the temple Izanth would light the next white candle on the new candelabra. Some of the kids had decided to add snow flake decorations to the temple. The scented pine cones filled with spice had been added as well hanging around them were also a few pine needles and tiny bells. The temple now look quite festive and would seem impossible to do another thing to without becoming gaudy. The gift today for the staff was a sweet roll. "To remember life is sweet, and may this coming year for us continue to be just as sweet."

Day 22: Today the third white candle on this five pronged Candelabra was lit. Today the gift given was a block of wood. "So much can be done with this, the choice is up to you. It's fate is not determined and neither is yours. Fate, as this block, is what we make of it."

Day 23: Today the last of the white candles was lit on this candelabra. The gift for the staff was a spool of thread. "To remember those ties that bind us."
Day 24: Today much music was echoing through the Temple and joyful noises and voices could be heard. Today the children and families that had been being collected for since earlier in the month got to open the many gifts the staff and the god had collected to give to them. Though they could not touch every poor soul in Tyran, they could at least make a start where they could and start the flame within others to go and spread the goodness and joy. Today the gold candle was lit and all the gold etchings of the room sparkled and shimmered with the gold candle drawing all attention towards the altar and the gift Dennizen left for others. The gift today, for staff, and for those that joined in alike would be a grand feast and the gift to see the god stroll about the temple for the day. To converse and speak with him in anyway they may choose or wish to do so.

Day 25: The Candelabra closest to the altar had once again been replaced this time with another six pronged Candelabra with various candle colors once again. Today was lit an amber candle. The gift given to the staff today was a broom. "In the coming new year it is tradition to start anew and one way we do that is by a symbolic cleaning. This gift is not intended to make you clean, just to remind you of traditions many hold and to take into account how varied we all are."

Day 27: Today a blue candle was lit and slowly the decorations were being stripped away till there were just candles left around the temple representing the various days of the new light festival. Today's gift to the staff was a water skin. "Never forget the needs of the others around you."
Day 28: Today a brown candle was lit and a little more taken away from the temple though the festival continued on for a few more days. Today's gift to the staff was a fossil. "Never forget the fate of all."

Day 29: Slowly even the gold etchings that shone brilliantly and seemed to dance began to fade though more flames flickered in the room than ever before and the candles were not but stumps now it would seem, no more than tea candles. Today a gray candle was lit and the staff was given a mural similar to the etchings of gold that had once decorated the altar room during the festival. the images depicted both good and bad. "Never forget those things that have been done in the name of the light."

Day 30: The temple was stripped today of all other decor besides the Candelabras and the candles held within them. Today the last candle was lit, a silver one, and all the twinkling flames in the room danced about each representing and showing a different aspect of light and life as a whole. That night another large bonfire would be had to rival that of the one they had on the start of Yule.
The gift to the staff that day was one of the lanterns that had once hung up as decor in the temple during the celebrations. "Carry the light with you forever, where ever you may roam."
