The boat ride over to Ashousau would has taken about a month so it wasn't a long journey comparably speaking to other places. Sampson and Ginger probably would have arrived on a merchant boat as tourism was not yet established. Just the tradelines.
It would have taken an hour or more to dock
. Maggie was waiting there for them. She had secured a few carriages. They would be rather small enough for one to two people and would be drawn by a person. The docks would be filled with thousands of people because just off the docks would be the market. The sun would be hot and it would be loud. People yelling at each other about where this should go or that should go. Market people holding food out. Everyone speaking a foreign. Language. The market, however, was beautiful in the same colors that bright yellow and blues .brilliant whites of fabric, that maggie had sent ginger Maggie almost looked out of place in her full military regalia but she was easily spotted. She waved her arms madly " over here!" As she started run up to greet them

Sampson was wearing a suit and had his hand on gingers "we are going to a different place so keep a hold of my hand and stay with me no matter what." he said as he smiled to her "maggie will be easy to find all you have to do is keep an eye out for her uniform." he said chuckling as he walked with her to the middle of the ramp "ahh see there she is." he said chuckling as he walked towards her with ginger
[Ginger] nods the girl having gotten quite a bit quieter these days, especially when Maggie was away. She looks back and forth curiously at all the things in at the docks and her ear perk forward when they see Maggie.

People dressed very differently here they wore very light linen in light colors the fabric would be thin. And let the air flow through. Bronzed sun kissed skin and various shades of brown eyes. From almost black to light shade. Not a blue or green eye in the place. Ginger and orsimarknwoukd be stared at not because this place didn't have creatures to. But because they were foreigners. And this was still something relatively new to them . Maggie had made her way to them after making her way through the crowd. And wrapped then both huge warm right hug. Magggienhad even gotten pretty tan from her time over here. " let's find your baggage and then we will get you settled in the new housing its about a 20 min carriage ride from here " if the olace were not so crowded it woukd only be about 5 mins. But the place swarmed with people off tje docks you could see the sea fell into a large river that went straight into the country and there along the mouth and deeper were more markets more people selling stuff. Off there boats. Spices fruits fish meats vegetables jewelry. Bread. Even street vendors but the food consisted of flat breads rice smoked meats, like aligator snakes..and even insects. Different types of tea..and very strongly brewed coffee and chocolate drinks.

Sampson looked around in awe "wow this is pretty crazy stuff." he said as he looked to maggie and looked back to where there baggage was held "all right it wont be long then." he said as he went to grab it his hand still holding ginger maybe even a bit too tight as he wasnt sure about this place
[Ginger] makes a face as her hand is squeezed and watches everything intently "Maggie, I miss you."

There were your normal meats too of fish and fowl and red meats as well. the baggage was actually carried over and put onto a person drew a carriage.tied to the back. " I miss you too ginger peach, did you get my package/and the little picture I had painted for you?" She patted her head lovingly " alright up in the carriage you go with Sampson. I'll be right behind you. And our military escort will be in front and you too will be in the middle. Okay.?" she knew the market could be very overwhelming chaotic and loud even downright scary. For anyone experiencing it for the first time. There was very little animal life in the capital city named Isparia. But there were horses and camels. People had pet monkeys .and so forth she smiled and soon they were off. The streets were crowded and they headed out from the main market they came small shops that had a wide open door and then into a neighborhood and finally near the military base a bit outside the main hustle of the city a suburb if you will that was being created for them. The place they were staying in was relatively small and made from the natural resources stone and mud. There was barely a tree in site .

Sampson watched everything "do they even have magic here or alchemy or even know what it is." he said looking and watching them move as he climbed up in the carriage then helped ginger up as well "this is crazy i have never seen anything like it." he said as he looked out the carriage windows "and where are all the trees at?" he asked incredulously
[Ginger] nods "I got your things, it is too quiet at home with you gone." a frown "Can't you come home now and stay?" she climbs into the carriage

She smiled and ginger and kissed her cheek " I'll be here another year and a half maybe two and then I'll probably be home for a while again " she gave Sampson a dry look and rolled her eyes . wondered if he had even bothered to even look at the books she sent him. Obviously the private picture she had sent him was all he paid attention too " when was the last time trees were cultivated in a desert " she was already getting irritated by her husband and his questions that could be answered byond the river which was the main and inlybwater source fed by the sea...after the grass lands extended were huge swaths of dune and sand. And beyond that high and dry looking mountains. The place was not that friendly. Farm lands were located very close to.tje river " and yes they know alchemy.. They can even make fake gold. Because there study if metalurgybis far advanced. They can track the star's and there mathametamics is far superior or more precise..did you even look at the books i gave you..or did yiu choose to ignore them..like everything else, i have ever told you about " there was the maghie ginger probably missed somethings woukd never change.

Sampson chuckled "well i was going to read them i even brought them on the journey but everytime i open them i see the picture of you and get well distracted my love." he said as he chuckled "i could have flown us sooner or atleast teleported us here faster than that damn boat." he said looking to her with a smile "so what keeps you busy here?" he asked curiously
[Ginger] looks pensive and then gives Maggie huge sad kitty eyes "I can be good if you come back. I promise, and if I am really good maybe even..." she trails off and looks away as that thought hurts to much to finish

She gave him a look " what keeps me busy here.. Oh i don't know.. My job? i just dress in seargents uniform for fun. Don't ask me where i get money it just appears out if mid air like magic, kind of like flying here with cat on your back and carrying luggage at the same time for the months stay.. Or porting here when they are no safe portals set up, sometimes...for being smart you say some dumb things.." The trunks were brought into the house and there was even a young house maid there " she cooks and cleans that is it " she said bluntly she introduced ginger and and sampson to her. And her name was kiba " she doesn't speak commen " she looked around the same age of maggie maybe a little younger. (C)/

Sampson sighed as he looked at her "really why do you have to be so picky and judgemental I was just kidding sheesh. I'm here and your already annoyed with me maybe I'll just go and read." He said as he walked in "well what language is it give me a learning book and I'll have it down and threw days." He said looking to her and shrugging "ginger you know she can't come back no matter what I barely got permission to bring you here for a month. She loves you but she also loves the military."
[Ginger] looks distressed and her ears fold down "But everyone keeps leaving...so something must be wrong. I will be very nice if you return and do anything you say!"

The problem was both Maggie and Sampson were arrogant and they were really arrogant with each other " Sampson its because your speaking on things you know nothing about. Trying to act like number one, when your not she got down to fingers eye level
" I promise you to ginger it was nothing you did. Travel is just part of the military life. That's why I come home every now and then and why I have to leave every now and then. I get orders from the queen. I love you ginger I wound never leave you permanently...and actually, it was quite easy to get you both permission to come here. Now that the trade ships have been stabilized.Gwen and Hotaru are coming sometime after you leave.

" here I'll make us a drink. So we can rest for the afternoon. And if you feel up.to it, we can go down to the river later. There are all kinds of neat animals and plants. And not too many crocodiles " she makes a silly chomping noise.

She nodded and moved to the fire but not before giving sampson a kiss the first kiss she had given him " well we can't swim in the river the fish are actually quite dangerous we have to stay near the shore line, but if you do want to swim there are some public places we can go " she moved over to the heated stove and begins to make them an traditional tea. She would take black tea leaves and boil them for several mins in hot water met it coll sweeten it with sugar which was very commen here and then add fresh mint leaves. She woukd then sit with them at the tiny table and relax " so how was your boat ride over here..i trust the weather was nice the entire trip "

She nods and holds fingers hand her other hand once they got outside would before Sampson. This Is where most if the sparse trees would be the amount the reeds and tall grass of the river. The river was wide. Very deep and fast moving. Along the river tonight they would see very common birds called the ibis. It was a wading waterfowl with a long legs neck and a curved bill. There were also turtles some snakes. There was also a hippo..she started naming off the various plants .. Then she pointed to a large beast on the other side " that is a hippo. We have be very careful around them they are very territorial, so we can never get too close "

She shakes her head " no even though another name for them is called the river horse.. There are very dangerous. And they will kill.people who get to close. Just as she was saying that one opened its giant mouth with its huge teeth " they mostly eats plants but they get mean like your sister Maggie sometimes.. They are also amphibious and live in water or land. "
Sampson glared at it "well now I want one for myself turn one into a talking hippo and make it able to switch forms from human to hippo now that would be fun." He said as he looked at it's mouth "nothing too weird about that."
[Ginger] stares at Sampson like he is insane "Why would you do that?"
She smiled at sampsin " hippos can can open their jaws 180 degrees and literally bite a person in half with 2000 lbs of pressure." She stared at him also
Sampson smiled and looked to ginger "just to get their side and learn about them and they learn about us. So where do you think they can live?"
She looks at Sampson and shrugs " I don't know..i just told you they were amphibious...but uh if you wanna go over to that heard and get your self chomped in half, trampled, into a million little pieces...be my guest..again your proving yourself to be number 1...... number one dumbass "
[Ginger] looks at the hippos now terrified of the beasts and turns to run back to the safety of the town
[Ginger] turns about to snuggle against Maggie "Don't let the mean fat horses eat me?"
Sampson chuckles "I'm not gonna mess with them love I just wanna study them they Are fascinating creatures and can kill so easily."
