Abigail was was learned women well educated. She was a good diplomat and fair to midland negotiator. She believed even if one doesn't have the skills to be a good strategizer, which militarily speaking she was not. She was not a fighter, she could fight and she did so when necessary but it was not her go-to.
No, she needed information three weeks was very little time, but luckily for abi. She knew where to look. In a kind of forgotten library l. When one says forgotten she means most people didn't bother coming there anymore it was filled with very old ancient scrolls, books like a tomb for lost knowledge.
Abigail in her youth almost lives here as she tried to educate herself regarding her families curse and if she could break it, but alas even when she found her answer it was too late...she hoped this would not be the case this time.
She was actually dressed down in this case. Because she knew she could be in this place for more then a day.
Story teller: Such an old devil- and one removed from much of Tyran's history was hard to find mention. Simply finding the right sages and wizards who knew of him took a frustratingly long time. But- such dedication had rewards. Johann Scarlotte wrote a treatise on something he called the Infernal Host. It explained the nature of several diabolical princes, that ruled over the Hell created in the cosmos for the punishment of mortals and the prison of something called The 13th.
This research was essentially branded heretical however, as it deigned to say that the gods themseles in Tyran were essentially figureheads- and part of a cosmic compromise between the gods spread across creation, both holy and unholy.
It stated that while the Gods of Light and Darkness- dating all the way to the time of Exodus- (which was, spoiler- not the source of all evil at all) were powerful, they were essentially substitutes, as the freewheeling magic and 'believe it and it will happen' nature of Tyran's cosmic construction meant it didn't follow the laws of the universe particularly well.
Tyran was a place of surprising compromises when it came to the Infernal Host, the Celestial Lords, and the vast representations of Light and Darkness throughout all of creation. In short, these compromises muddied the waters for demons, devils, and all manner of spirits- including Asmodeus.

Abigail:
Where there seekers there were always answers. Even if she had to visit several libraries. To make her time line. Abigail understood the figure heads because sheï followed the light and only worked for the figure head, whomever that may be. She always understood the need for temples and godheads.
As she carefully unrolled the scrolls to read them with magical gloves that would preserve there fragile nature. she used a stone to copy the words directly onto other sheets of paper she had brought with her. After she would read the scrolls so she could re read them later.
The Arisolonians, while she had followed some of there most recent timeline She has to as it even she knew very little of who or what they were. Or how deep there history was with this demon. And after the information she had laeebed from laelia, well she hopes in this case especially curiosity did not kill the cat.
Story teller: The Arisalonians were strange in which they did not subscribe to a creation myth, but did embrace both reason and religion, viewing any spiritual force no different than one would view the folks next door. It was a dreadfully arrogant way to view the unexplainable and supernatural, but it took a long time to not serve well.
The Arisalonians were conquerers, artists, philosophers, seeking to make a civilization in which human progress was paramount. The Arisalonians did not stop at conquering a people, they would assimilate them erasing their culture- including their very spirits, ancestral gods, and demons.
This is the beginning of the Arisalonian's history with the devil, Asmodeus. Asmodeus was originally worshipped by the Desian people, (similar to Persians) a demon that inspired no few amount of cults. He also had great influence with the the Avistan culture, and was even considered the primary adversary of Zoraster, (a greater light affiliated god) under the name Ahiriman.
As these cultures were absorbed by the Arisalonians, the Magus and Wizards of New Arisalon summoned and bound these spirits, using them to further Arisalonina magic, which unchecked had become a monstrous affront to natural law. It was not enough to enslave dissenting people, at their mythic height- the Arisalonina's enslaved gods themselves.
According to Johann Scarlotte- this hubris and unmatched power turned the Arisalonian's into decadent and effete socialites- instead of the keen race of warriors and wizards, philosophers and kings.
With patience, Asmodeus' captor is named. Aetherius Dante Kaliba, a man who created something called the Darklight Codex- an infuriatingly complicated means of magical power, drawing form the primordial darkness called The Black, and held in place by the one called Asmodeus, and a lesser Moon Goddess. The spiritual energy of these outsides kept the Black from Corrupting it's host or wielder, acting as a kind of insulation.
Without the insulation- the Black would corrupt the wielder, and his entire bloodline. More relevant, the date. It wasn't in Tyran reckoning, but it seemed to be slightly short of ten thousand years. Supposedly, humans weren't alive at that time.

Abigail like most seekers of knowledge and history was reading over this like it was juicey piece of gossip. And like most who thrist for knowledge she required more. ..
It took Johann no small amount of pages before he ran out of useful background information. But his write up of Asmodeus was rather inspired.
As the Archfiend in charge of revenge and punishments, Asmodeus is one of the most tenacious foes of the Nine Layers of Hell. Said to be a mate of Liliths, he is also over the realm of lust and consuming passion. Most of his devotees are obsessed often by good intentions that warp into considerable evil. As I've met the current host of this Archfiend, I am convinced that Asmodeus influences his actions often in secret.
Asmodai, Asmodeus, Ahirman- whatever you'd like to call him is capable of investing his power into other devils and creatures- and has the rank in the Infernal Host to promote lesser devils. In fact, it is said that Asmodai can instill some of his own personality and essence into promoted devils- essentially reproducing himself.
These other devils are no more powerful than others of their type, but as Asmodai can promote lesser devils to the status of a Fiend of the Pit, this is small comfort.
* It is fortunate that Asmodeus has been kept contained for so long, and more fortunate still that if he is ever released, he woudl return to the Hell of Which He Came- for I fear that if he had freedom to walk Tyran- Tyran's magic, and the many powers so easily given would be too easy for Asmodeus to co-op and use. *

She sighed " if only you knew Johann..." She whispered to herself. A man like him would be good to have around in days like these.
The codex mentioned before might not work again and if it did... Was there anyone powerful enough to use it or even recreate it. Certainly not she Abigail was no high user of magic And what magical use she was able to contain and use contain. She saves for healing and holy spells. Though it had increased she became a demi-God.
Asmodeus was unlike a foe she has come upon before.
She commits to the name to memory on the off chance he still might be alive, she also committed the magician's name to memory.
Though she had to wonder surely keirin would have been taught this history and why would the temple think that summoning the demon he would actually work with them.
There has to. Be more then what Laelia was saying about them summoning him. Though he might have seduced them as Kieran had seduced her, what was the purpose of it. Korean had told her the temple had nothing to do with it but he had lied to her about other things...or really had he lies or did she just refuse to ask the right questions.
Reproducing himself, however, that was something disturbing.
