Wulv gave an appreciative nod of the head to Protea at the comment of the outfit choices of them and their mate. Having listened to the new queen. They were not sure yet if they trusted this one, but Wulv didn't fully trust too many either. Though the thought of some of the alliances made seemed a good start, if it were true. The part that concerned them most though was not whether it was true or not, for they could discover that in time if it were, but the idea that the gods had agreed that the capital would be left out of their never ending game. Wulv didn't trust either god, any god enough to hold this true for all time, for even if they themselves did not directly lift a hand against the capital who would keep one of their followers from trying to do so. Wulv would leave the thought for now. They were going to meet with the gods anyway to discuss the possibility of a celebration for one night of the temples.
Wulv smiled at Sune and gave her hand a tight squeeze in return as the situation between Raelle and Protea became quite heated it seemed and noticed Sune's fork melt away. Wulv leaned into Sune's ear and gave it a kiss and a whisper "all will be fine love. All will be fine." Wulv tried to reassure Sune, for as Protea had mentioned this will and should remain a celebration even if you had those amongst the crowd not too certain of this unknown queen. "The child I carry is trying to maim my body it feels like. I am surprised I even made it out to this event tonight. It seems to want to keep me down." Wulv chuckled then turned back to the queen as she addressed Sune once more.
"Lord or Lady would be the proper term as they are a landowner and can be either depending on various situations. As for my title I prefer the same though I inherited the title Duke from my father in his lands, however I choose to try and separate myself from that lineage. A shame you are the only one of your line though, I do hope the queen plans on creating a secure future for the realm though if not with securing a line for herself ensuring that there is a lineage to take the throne if something should befall her well being." Wulv took a bite of food with a kind smile wiping their mouth afterward.

Laelia's response wasn't completely unexpected, but it was enough to cause him to cease his attempts to kiss her hand. She apparently decided a firm handshake was an appropriate greeting, which in a way it was. Ronnie would just return the handshake, attempting to match her firmness to keep the handshake as comfortable as possible.
Ronnie utilized the short pause that she made to consider his dance proposal to listen in on all the patrons and their murmurings regarding the early exchange between Raelle and the new queen. Fortunately this masquerade ball allowed him and possibly others to hide many intentions by concealing everyone's facial expressions that would of naturally revealed much more, well at least for those wearing more fuller masks such as himself. Ronnie's mask was a simply formless white mask with two slits for vision and a small rectangular box to allow clear communication. There was also that diagonal across on it to give it at least some flare.
Ronnie was pleased at her response for whatever reason that lead her to conclude she would accept. There was no special reason she was chosen among the others, she just happened to be the first woman he spotted. For the time being he keep his reasons to himself as there was little reason to reveal anything right now, except for his name, which she was requesting.
Ronnie spoke politely, “Ronnie, representative of the Breteuil family.” Ronnie doubted she would know much or anything about his family, possibly rumors of them being fanatical hunters of any creatures or individuals aligned to the dark. It has only been recent that they began revealing themselves, but there is only a small settlement area as they were in the process of starting an official town, a sanctuary as they called it.
Ronnie expected no real response from her especially after her attention was caught on the war of words between Cairogen, the queen, and Raelle. He could tell she was at least slightly interested because she turned her head to observe it more closely. Ronnie glanced in the direction for a moment before looking back at Laelia, seemingly taken in her appearance and posture. Plus it wasn't like they could dance at the moment as the queen stopped the festivities to make her little announcement.
It was a good announcement as Ronnie learned a whole lot about the queen as would all of the people It also gave him a chance to consider if he should ask his dance partner for a name, even if he gets her name, how would he recognize her again, “Speech pattern, hand firmness, skin complexion?” Then again names carry a lot and if her name is big enough it could let him know he picked the right person.
Ronnie would still have questions even after the queen seemingly put Raelle in her place and put her on the brink of being jailed for acting unruly. By the looks of it Cairogen looked like he would be glad to do the honors of locking this person away.
It wasn't long before the music resumed and Ronnie was facing Laelia awaiting for her to bring her attention back to him. Ronnie responded, “M'lady I never got your name? While awaiting her answer he took time to consider the music was playing before deciding on the appropriate dance for the musical number. After her response he would offer her hand to begin dancing with her.

"I see." It was true, she wasn't familiar with the Breteuil family, aside from a few vague rumours. Certainly nothing prominent that ever would have gained her notice before.
To an observant sort, there were characteristics of note that could identify her without facial recognition. The pale platinum of her hair, the sheathe and pommel of her sword, the sound of her voice.
She accepted his hand and stepped out onto the floor to join the other dancers. Where other women wore skirts and petticoats that swayed and twirled about their ankles, this woman wore trousers and an officer's coat. It flared slightly at the waist, was long in the back to her calves and slightly shorter in the front.
"My name is Laelia Kaliba of New Arisalon, General of the Tyran Army." She introduced herself finally. Her movements were fluid, well-practiced, and enhanced by a warrior's grace and it seemed she commanded a dance floor with the same confidence she did a battlefield.

Off in a dark corner, there was a woman wearing a mask of pure black, the eyes underneath a lavender- almost white color. Her hair was in ringlets and put up, so that the purple streak was hidden and only the dark hair showed. Any time someone seemed like they were going to approach her, she seemed to slip off to somewhere else, never speaking. The woman seemed mostly interested in the Queen, but there was two others in the room that she kept an eye on as well. She did a light applause when the coronation happened, and then curiously listened to the squabble between Raelle and this new Queen. Perking a brow at the mention of her and her family, she still did not budge. People talked about them all the time... it was nothing new to her. Hate, fear, admiration.
So she did not respond or speak up when Raelle asked where the Vargo House was to honor this exchange of power. She knew the details now of why her sister Sapphire had done it. This was for the best, and besides... Monet had aligned herself with Tyr. Nothing good could come to the Capital from her now, except perhaps to weed out some of the drunks on the street to satisfy her lust for killing.

Raelle ignored the mindless twitter from blind sheep in the crowd. Protea had told her all she needed to know. The others could speak and think for themselves, but the Raven Islands would be keeping a much closer eye on the capital for now.
Raelle airily waved a hand. "You offered nothing but more reasons for these people to be wary. But carry on. Let us all see what a fine leader you are."
A faint tip of her head is all she gave the odd woman - if something born straight from magic could be labeled in such a traditional way. She turned away from the table, Blacktyde closely following in her wake, and returned to where she'd left her other two men.
"Inform the Griffins and Island soldiers in Riverview and Raven's Perch to increase defenses and double patrols," she told her men. "Both of you go now. I'll remain here with Blacktyde but if you do not hear word of my return by morning notify the King." Both men gave her a sharp salute and then left without needlessly wasting time.
"This next part should be interesting, my friend," she muttered to Blacktyde. "Let's see if I can keep myself out of the dungeons, hmm?"

The Announced Spoke one last Time as the last Guest Arrived "I'm Proud to Announce Lord Alaeric Vargo has Arrived". Alaeric walked into the room, Wearing a Tuxedo his Dark eyes gauging the crowd as they murmured even if he hadn't been able to see it, he had overheard it, and as of yet not one person in this room knew who he was or that he was a Vargo until now.
Alaeric's tuxedo was embroidered gold black with a undershirt of purple his hair however was not, it was a Dark black, his face was haunting and dark sunken cheek's stuck out and defined his face. His hand curled up at his side and unfurled again, then he stepped into the room towards the Queen Protea, he offered a Short bow to her "It is my honor to be here". he closed his eyes tucking his hand close to his waist and bowing slightly, then he rose himself to standing again and smirked walking across the hall, he had been late but he would still pay his respects. He stood among the rabble of folk to see how this went on.

"Thank you, and congratulations to you both-" she was saying to Wulv when there was a sudden explosion sound in the court which made her rise to her feet quickly and look around for the source. ---Part 2 Continues--- -The Game- Everyone that had remained to enjoy the ball would also hear the explosion, and yet it seemed as if nothing had broken or blown up. It was almost like a loud crack of thunder, yet it wasn't. "Quickly, go see what that was!" she said to the guards around her, one remaining by her side for her own protection despite her orders. "Excuse me," she said to her guests at the table as she rushed away to investigate things herself. "We're locked in!!" someone yelled from the top of the stares at the main entrance. "Over here is locked too..." yelled someone from the opposite end as a servant had tried to get through the doors Protea used earlier to change into her gown. It seemed everyone present was now trapped inside the ballroom. "What is the meaning of this Queen Protea?" another suddenly said to her, wondering if this was her doing. ~Great, just what I need right now~ she thought to herself. "What is wrong with my magic?" a man near the door asked. Apparently as he described it, he was doing what he could to try to teleport out and something had blocked him. "Mine too", "Oh my goodness!", "I'm scared!" People were starting to panic. "Everyone, please remain calm while we try to figure out what is going on!" Just then, Protea appeared to glow a bright blue, her coral eyes also lighting up and she raised off the ground. "Your majesty!!" the servants below yelled in fear up at her. A voice not her own emitted from her now, booming and loud enough for all to hear. "It seems that I was not invited to this little party of yours, Queen Protea. So, I decided to join you on my own instead. It seems not everyone here understands you, some possibly even wanting your head. Lets play a game..." a magical wave shout out from Protea's body and the entire room began to glow. "Here are the rules of my game. None of you may leave, not until I've had my fun. You'll be given three chances to go, and we've only just begun. Make the right choice, and you'll be able to go free. Make the wrong choice, and you'll be staying here with me..." the man's voice chuckled a bit. "Hint number one, as we begin our fun:"
There are three, but only one grants you safety. If you wish to be safe, choose the right door. If you wish to die, choose the wrong one. One choice, one direction, one color, one door. If you find the clue in my words, you will make it to the next room. Choose wisely. The key to safety is in your hands. A loud laughter was heard before Protea was suddenly dropped from high with no care for her safety. Luckily someone below caught the Queen however, but she was now unconscious. Her body was glowing, just like the room, but it seemed that noone could wake her. -Round 1- Three of the doors in the room suddenly changed color and a 'click' sound could be heard, indicating these doors were now unlocked. Choice 1: The blue door to the south of the room was the entrance/exit of the ballroom, where everyone had made their entrances from the outside. It sizzled and cracked with what seemed to be a kind of lightning type magic, humming dangerously loud whenever someone got too close. Choice 2: The red door to the north of the room was the one that the Queen had used earlier to leave and return during the coronation, so it seemed that room connected somehow to the Queen's chambers. It was glowing red and orange and seemed like if you touched it, flames out lick out and burn you. Choice 3: The silver door to the east of the room was over by the stage where the bards had been playing. It seemed to be a servants entrance, where the servants and guards had come from to refresh the food, drink, and supplies at the party. It looked like liquid, as if it could swallow and drown you whole if you tried to go through it. --You're free to RP things out, but each of you must also choose which door to go through at the end of your RP (and by the 5th.) There are vague hints in the riddle, but as I said earlier, nothing is quite what it seems. Work together, work alone... its all up to you. Once everyone has chosen a door, I will announce who if anyone got it right, and we will do the next part. Those who get it wrong will get a second chance to survive, but if you fail again... well, you'll find out!-- --Rules/Guide-- - No one's magic is working. It doesn't seem to be cut off, just restrained. So teleporting, shadow walking, healing, etc. is not working. This includes magical items.
- Attempts to destroy the building to escape are futile. A magic barrier is protecting everything but the glowing doors.
Don't rely on Monet for hints... I've decided to leave her fate in the hands of the majority. She'll follow the largest group into whatever door they choose. That way I have her involved, but she wont be making decisions on her own, since I already know the answers.
There is also a hidden key somewhere within these challenges that will grant everyone safety if someone figures out what to do with it.
The next part begins when everyone has made their choice, or by Aug 5th with those having not posted losing their chance and being grouped with the ones who made the 'wrong' decision. NPC's will be making the same choice as their played character... no separating them, for simplicity's sake. The event is now closed to new entries as well, sorry!

As magic in the room was suppressed Ellina would be reviled from the shadows her daggers groaned " Uhg, I think I'm going to be sick. " With a rather irritated look the very pregnant fea waddled over to Rita and Sakura and said, " Is it just me of does our family seems to always get into these kinds of situations? " Rita nods and says " Yes it seems trouble is a constant companion, Now it seems I can't access the Time Stream. " she tries to use a heal on Sakura " also it seems I cant heal, what about you too? " Sakura nods and says " Same, Whats worse I can't feel and aether flowing into my gems. " she sighs "this suppression seems to be taking a toll on my body as well, at this rate I'll drained and dead in about 2 hours. " Ellina growls a bit and says " My powers are also suppressed but it seems I can still lower my body temp at will, I guess this means it's a kind of Anti-Magic field. meaning innate abilities are not suppressed" she Stops and thinks "well I think solving this puzzle is the best bet we have of getting everyone out alive, So looking at the North door it's 2 colors so we can Rule it out right away. " Rita nods and says " I agree. " she looks to the Queen then to the General, "General Please have Everyone gather in the center of the room. We don't want anyone getting hurt until we figure this out. " She then motions for Harmony and Tempest to join them before looking at the general once more " General as of this moment and until Protea comes too The Xenothrin Royal Family will take charge. " Sakura would Pant as she felt her clock ticking, Bellinda would walk over to Protea and examine her giving a ' shut up and let me work ' eye to anyone who tried to stop her, a moment later she would say "The lass be fine but out cold. " Ellina turns to the room and asks " who here still has access to some ability? please come foreword and tell us what abilities you have, after that we will work to solve this puzzle and get everyone to safety. "

Cairogen sat there quietly listening as the voice spoke its riddle. He looked to his hands briefly, then to each of the three doors. He turns his attention to Rita as she attempts to take charge before he finally stands "One choice, one direction, one color, one door. Thats what were left with, There are other pieces of the riddle as well but im going to go on my instinct with this one. Fear of death will only slow things down and i suspect this guy will get bored quickly if we wait too long and throw something else at us" He moves over to the silver door and doesnt hesitate to use it.

Sune had smiled at Lilly when the woman told her she was glowing “well I am pregnant Lily. That is why” she explained, smiling happily at her own news. “Oh yes Lily I would love to come by sometime” she agreed, taking the map from the woman so she would indeed be able to find her way to the place at a later date. “You have fun too!” she had waved before being swept away.
Later at the table she had been interrupted, things heating up between Raelle and Protea. Cairogen had spoken up on the queens behalf, showing he was on her side but some of the things Raelle said had her second guessing the queen too. She remained quite as the new queen had defended herself as well, Sune being quite patient.
It was sad to hear that she was the last of her bloodline. She could only imagine how lonely the woman must be. It was also disconcerting that she was the only one standing between all of Tyran and the gods. Sune smiled at Wulv as they answered for them “Yes.. they are correct. I am like Wulv and able to be both. This is one of the reasons we ended up falling for each other during the contest for the old queens hand” she flushed red in the cheeks at that. She would relax at hearing her children would be safe and smiled more openly.
She was glad to have Wulv there at her side as they made her feel much more calm and safe. They could answer all those questions with a political flair she felt she lacked, allowing her to simply agree and not risk saying the wrong thing. “I’m glad my children will be safe still in Tyran” was all she could think of to add to the conversation as the dancing recommenced.
Then something exploded and Sune’s eyes shifted from blue to black to silver and the woman was on her feet tipping the chair she was on backwards. She had let go of Wulv’s hand by now, both hands going to her stomach protectively. The queen was giving commands and Sune moved around the fallen chair to be closer to Wulv. Panic hit as someone said they were locked in “Oh no! this isn’t good.” she whimpered. Then came the cries of magic not working and out of instinct Sune would lift her right foot to stomp it and try to shake things up but nothing happened other than her foot hitting the ground with a metallic sort of clang.
Sune felt odd, strange even, the metal leg they used for getting around suddenly stiffening and then not moving at all. It was a magical item that required magic to work and whatever had hit the castle had changed it into nothing more than a stiff and non functional bit of metal attached at her hip. “My leg!” Sune breathed, reaching down to try and force it’s movements and only managing to throw off her own balance causing her to tumble back into Alaeric. “Oh my!.. I’m so sorry.. it’s my leg.. it’s not working like it should” she said to the man. Fox ears appeared on top of her head through her blond and black hair and ten fox tails appearing at her back now that the magic used to hide herself stoped working too. Then light caught her eyes and she looked over to see something strange happening to Protea. Sune got back onto her good leg presumably with the mans help.
Her hands came up and her eyes blinked closed at the wave of light. It was too bright for a moment but then that voice rang out. Was it a voice sune knew? This likely didn’t matter but it was talking of rules. She looked to her hands at the mention of a key, partially hoping maybe one had appeared there. “Oh no! I’m no good at riddles” she sighed, looking up again at the sound of the click and seeing three doors changing colour and properties.
Suddenly Ellina was trying to take charge and Cairogen was already walking to the silver door to open it. “Wait! how do we even know that is the right door? What about this key it mentioned?” she asked. “maybe what the riddle means is we all have to choose the same door?” She suggested, trying to walk over but finding it harder now that she had to drag along the no longer functioning magic leg, the girl going to check Proea for a key of any kind.
Key or no sune would choose to follow Cairogen, half limping over to them and tearing off the lower half of her dress to keep from possibly tripping on it now that walking normally was out of the question. This left the fully metal righ leg exposed as well as the one normal left leg covered in that red scroll that outlined it. Thankfully Sune did have on a pair of red shorts under that dress, though she did do away with the pink heals and opt to go barefoot.

Laelia immediately stepped away from her dance partner and removed her mask, tossing it aside. Her lips pursed with displeasure as something seemed to possess Queen Protea's body and issue threats and riddles. This is what she got for attending social events, she supposed.
The General turned a dry expression to Ellina, or Rita, or whichever Xenothrin it was that was trying to take control and issue demands of her. A pale brow lofted as she stared briefly before answering. "To everything you just said: No." She said flatly.
She could not feel a magical connection either to her own magic or to Starscale. This meant they would have to solve this problem with their wits and skills. Crossing the floor with a confident stride towards the fallen Queen, Laelia would stoop and haul Protea's dead weight up over her shoulder, waiting a moment for Sune's exploration to find a possible key before continuing.
Cairogen had already chosen his door, and Laelia agreed. "Zephyr, my men: To me." She glanced to those gathered in the room. "The door to the north has two colours, not one. It is eliminated from the options. The silver door, the east door, is quite literally the door to the 'right' if we were looking at it from a map. If you find my logic sound, then follow. If you don't, then I wish you the best of luck with your own choice." She wasn't going to argue. People could do as they wished.
Zephyr quickly made it to Laelia's side, making his choice to stay with his mother. He was silent, hands remaining on his swords at all times.
Laelia, Zephyr, and the security detail offered by the Tyran Army would take the unconscious Protea through the silver door to the East.

If Raelle had been a lesser person she would have shouted "I told you so" to the fawning idiots who didn't know how to think for themselves. She could shout them all down, preach about the dangers of relying so heavily on magic and believing everything weird strangers said. Try to educate them about the practicality of requiring proof and doing your own research before bending a knee. What was the point?
There were few people in the room she cared an inkling about, and that fact alone made her sad.
Protea lay still and glowing much like the walls. Others tried attacking the walls to no avail. It was that observation alone that kept Raelle from drawing her sword and beheading the witch. She would not risk her blade on a fool when it may be sorely needed later.
Her soldiers had got out just in time. Riverview and Raven's Perch would be on alert. If she didn't send word by the morning Cassiel would be notified and Tyran would have all of the Raven Islands eager for blood.
"Let's get out of here before morning, Blacktyde. While war sounds delicious to the part of me that is seriously pissed off, I'd like a bit more time to see the children settled before then."
Ignoring the dragons' attempt to take charge, Raelle applied herself to deciding which door to use. She stopped a terrified servant and got him to tell her where each door went, confirming her own deductive conclusions. She ruled out the blue door, it was doubtful the madman toying with them would grant them such an easy escape. The red door was a possibility but she knew from her own castle a Queen's Chamber traditionally had few ways in and out - made it easier to barricade and protect a royal when threats roamed the halls. Plus, she was not her daughter, fire was not her creature and walking through flames seemed like a very bad idea.
The silver door, however...
It was to the east. East was always to the right on a compass, and the riddle had said to choose the right door. She winced slightly. That was thin reasoning.
The silver door looked fluid. Well. She was more likely to survive walking through water than she was flames.
She wasn't confident enough to try and coax others to follow her lead. They'd have to make up their minds for themselves. Perhaps that would start a new, much needed trend.
Saying nothing, she and Blacktyde crossed the room with determined strides heading straight for the silver door. Raelle never let her steps falter. The decision had already been made. At the last moment she closed her eyes and let her feet carry her across the threshold.

"I've come to the same conclusion, General." Formality was often used by the family in a state of emergency. It was evident that Trent felt deep disdain for either the situation or the dead weight his sister was carrying figuratively and literally.
"Milhin, I trust you agree?" he asked his hand slipping to the small of her back leaning in to whisper something inaudible.
Trent fell into step with the rest of them, and with a snap of his fingers- three party goers threw off cloaks to reveal Arisalonian armor and fell into line behind the Lord Magister. The separation of him from his magic would alert those in the city- it would be best to act fast before soldiers assumed war was about to happen.
Depending on the outcome, that may be unavoidable.

Many things happened all at once it seemed and wulv groaned not in the mood for a game at the moment with dealing with their 'husband' being with child, them being with child, trying not to step on any toes while getting information they felt would be vital for Tyran to know, and being the strong one when all they felt like doing was being in bed to be honest, especially after the dance. Now riddles and a game.
But the clues were in the words. Many tried to take charge and look for a key when Wulv looked about the room there was nothing they could figure out that would be obvious to be this key. Queen Protea had many that she was connected to guard and servant wise so it would be impossible to tell if one of them were it or carrying one. Plus who was to say this being even dealt with the same ideas as the queen maybe it was a different connection. Wulv naturally saw through the shadows because of what they were and saw Monet... could she be it? Only she slinked away anytime someone drew near, how could they get to her... she had to be it right?
Wulv stood after helping Sune as best as they could to the door and tried to approach Monet. "I know this must not be a pleasant sight for you, for the memories it draws back. But you are the key in all this are you not?" Wulv asked Monet hoping she would respond. Before turning back to the crowd.
"I agree with the assessment of the general. Let us think on what we have. There are three, but only one grants you safety. If you wish to be safe, choose the right door. If you wish to be safe choose the right door, not only correct, but right as in the direction right which is mentioned later that there is one direction. If we look at the room you have a door to the north and south, but that would be a continuous line, that means neither are technically one direction. The only other way which is the only direction would be east then. And as stated East would be right when looking upon a guide. If you wish to die, choose the wrong one. One choice, one direction, one color, one door. The silver fits, one color yes, one direction which I have already gone over, one choice... we should probably choose as one. One door, it is a singular door as stated before, it is a lone door with no line across from it. If you find the clue in my words, you will make it to the next room. Choose wisely. The key to safety is in your hands.
They mentioned balance before as well... not the voice but the idea that there was to be balance. Red is a vibrant color a warm color, blue is a cool color, the opposite, not directly, but it opposes red. Silver is neutral. Anything can go with silver and it brings a balance. Balance is also in the fluid nature shown in the silver door for though it is chaotic it can also be still. I say everyone head for the silver door."
Wulv turned back to Monet. "Please f you are the key to our safety we need you to not slither away, but put your trust in someone again." Wulv would plead and offer their hand to Monet before moving to the silver door.

As soon as Protea fell Vici went rushing over to her, her eyes as wide as ever and she tried to scream out but just stood there silent in the screaming posture before scrambling to yank at anyone who went by to try and help her mistress, Protea needed help and she didn't know how or what to do. She continued to scramble and clamber about to get people to pay attention to her and help the queen. Poor Vici was in a right panic, not caring about the voice or what it said, but only Protea. She fell beside the body tears falling when she had heard others taking charge. She saw people begin to gather at the servants door and nodded, yes that was a good idea, she could take Protea through there back to her room and help Protea there maybe with a potion, all the ingredients would be behind that door. Vici tried to get the attention of Jacob and somebody else who was strong and get them to drag Protea's body over toward the silver door so she could get behind it with her mistress to make something to make her feel better. Vici moved to the silver door urging with her body language and her hands for the people to hurry and bring the queen that way tear drops staining the floor in the process. Oh what happened to her mistress?

Monet groaned slightly as she heard some creature give them riddles. It figured. This place hadn't changed and was still messing with people's minds it seemed... even under a new Queen. Cautiously Monet watched what the others chose to do, not wishing to reveal her presence just yet incase they thought to try to rally behind her as the prior Queen. Of course Wulv found her... she wasn't too surprised by that. They'd always been at her side and even now encouraged her to go with them. Laelia and Zephyr appeared to choose the silver door as well. About half the people now had picked that way. Sighing at Wulv, and deciding to just go with the majority, she left her fate in their hands and walked carefully along to join Wulv and some of the others in entering the silver door. "I don't know Wulv... truly." she answered them about the key.

Ronnie felt a disturbance, but this disturbance was moments before the booming sound that would lead to the situation. Ronnie could feel his dragon stating that their connection was weakening. This resulted in Ronnie dancing slower. Shrick suggests Ronnie to leave before it was too late, but Ronnie said, “No, I will let things play out.” With that poor decision Ronnie's fate was sealed as Ronnie felt all magical ties to Shrick being severed.
Their innate connection developed at the time they became rider and dragon, but they could no longer buffer each other due to the blasted barrier, this also mean Ronnie had no means of natural escape. Making matters worst Protea was apparently possessed by some creature perhaps a creatures forged through the same mess that made her.
Ronnie had some suspicions that maybe the target was that Vargo that arrived, funny how shortly after he came this whole mess began. Ronnie took time to notice Cairogen brief message before immediately choosing without hesitation. He heard Rita and Sakura try to be voiced of reason to no avail. Fortunately though, their inquiry that they think up a solution hit home as most people came to the same conclusion
Ronnie would expect a plot twist, but surely the first riddle was always the easiest, if there is three of them then the next one would be intermediate, then hard. Then again they all could select the Silver door and be wrong due to some small vague hidden clue that would make no sense to no one but the crazy person wanting to play games because he/she was not invited. Ronnie peered to the right on the floor and he saw a butcher knife.
Ronnie believes a panic Chef must of dropped it amiss the chaos. Ronnie was lacking a weapon and one of his targets was in the vicinity. If he was going to go down, surely he would be the one to end his life and not the mysterious possessor. Ronnie didn't think too many people would be suspicious of him wanting to have a weapon, especially with what was going on.
Ronnie inevitable would choose the silver door if for no other reason, was because that's where his main target was heading. If they chose wrong and they ended up in some no escape situation, he would know what to do. Ronnie had his qualms about bringing the queen that was just possessed by the thing that started the mess. It felt like bringing the problem with them wherever they went. Maybe the key was to get rid of problem.

Rita sighs and says " This is why I try to keep out of politics, now lets go you too the logic is sound. " she motions Tempest and Harmony to follow them and then the 3 women walk over and enter the silver door.

Orisimark was surprised by the remarks of the queen as well as the remarks of Raelle though he was quiet he instantly reached for his hand as he heard the explosion and watched as protea would fly into the air and speak "what the hell is going on?" he asked as he would look to everyone the quicksilver on his hand began to act funny as it was magic itself "okay everyone just calm down we need to put our heads together." he would look at cairogen "if you are wrong then you are sending us all to a unknown future." he said as he would began to think on the words that were spoken. " he would move over to cairogen "it is the right door. and it is a solid color and in one direction." he said as he would walk towards the silver door and look around seeing if there was anything weird about it before walking in.

He stood back talking with Joshua as they conversed they only stopped when the Queen asked for there attention, and the prompted locking in this room and riddle had him raising his eyebrow his face never broke a sweat however, he simply watched the others, fight argue and bicker amongst themselves, he thought the queen of the Islands a prude, for bitching about Queen Protea's Right to rule when she herself was from a foreign land stepping into Tyran's Territory, he produced a coin from his pocket and Joshua rolled his eyes he smirked "Do we follow the crowd or no?" he flipped the coin and Joshua screamed "TAILS" Isaac lifted his hand and it revealed heads "Oooh Must be our lucky day" He turned Joshua in tow through the silver door we must go!

He watched the Ceremony Start his first gaze was to Monet, then he turned hearing all that was going on the riddle his dark gaze never leaving the queen, he thought this might be bad...he had the forgotten Isles to save...oh well maybe not now right? He made sure to fill his drink and down it before stepping towards the silver door but for good measure he picked up a vase and tossed it at another door watching it ricochet off it and go sailing across the hall only to shatter on the far wall, he promptly brushed it behind a table and followed the crowd the excuse in his head, that he was to drunk to make an proper adult decision on his own.

The moment she was cut off from her magic, she scowled deeply and cast a sideways glance to Trent. Milhin's eyes narrowed dangerously. She could not sense her butterflies, and the magic that allowed her to see past the veil and into the realm of the spirit was inaccessible. Trent would no doubt sense his companion's displeasure with the situation even as she maintained a soft tone when she replied.
"I would agree as well." Her head canted, tipping her ear upwards towards the mouth that whispered to her. His hand pressed to the small of her back to accentuate his words.
A short hum of acknowledgement was her reply, accompanied by a nod. The necromancer tucked in close to his side, maintaining a look of sheer boredom and disdain on her lovely face.

Cairogen had made the effort to help sune before heading through the door and called back to Orisimark. "The queen sat facing north, the silver door is at her right hand. This thing that has us trapped i doubt wants us to leave easily so the north doors are out. The south door leads to the queens changing room which i doubt has more than one way in or out for security reasons, unless there is a hidden door. People were coming and going through the north door and the queen herself entered and exited the south door.
"The servants door, or silver in the current situation, not only had people coming only into the ballroom, but likely leads into whatever puzzle this guy has in store next for us which probably leads into another after that. The key is in our hands, mostly likely means Protea herself is the key, or literally means our actions choose our safety" He had been thinking not only in context of the riddles but also logically how he would set things up if he wished to make them play a game. His eyes moved to Monet briefly giving a faint nod then patted vici on the head "It will be ok, im sure the General will take good care of her"

Vici looked up at Cairogen with the pat upon the top of her head sniffling and wiping tears from her eyes that now shone a multitude of colors and her hair began to falter as well. She nodded at Cairogen's words and then threw herself at his feet briefly to thank him before returning to Protea who was being taken care of by the general. She looked at the general and pointed to Protea with wide rainbow eyes gazing at Laelia as if silently asking will her mistress be alright. Vici wouldn't know what to do without her mistress so needed her to be safe.

Sune took Wulv's help to get to the door, being passed off to Cariogen as Hr mate when to go fetch Monet. Everyone was trying to move through the Silver door now. Sun was scared but they trusted in Wulv and Cariogen and knew that Laelia knew hr way around quite well. It as a relief to here her agree to Cariogen's choice.
she wondered at her mates words about Monet being the key but then Cairogen was saying the key was either Protea or the choice they made. She leaned on him for support and thought a moment “try taking the crown off Protea’s head. None of this started until after she was crowned. Maybe that it a part of the key” she suggested, still moving though the silver door with Cariogens help.

That voice...it sent shivers up her spine. Her wings flittered as she attempted to take flight, hovering softly before she dropped to her feet again. It was like swimming through tar. Very hard to do...She saw many head towards the silver door. They had to be right, right?
She turned her head as Sune spoke and nodded, opting to follow them through the Silver door.

Would be making her way to her husband and the others near him when the party was interrupted. She paused, listening to the riddle and blinked a moment. Rita and the others were trying to get them to go to the silver door. "Comeon Tempest!" she spoke taking his hand as they went to the Silver door.

Milhin's lips curled into a coy and devious smile at Sune's suggestion to remove Protea's crown. Her eyes widened with faux innocence as she made her suggestion. "Protea's head may contain the key. Perhaps we should remove that as well." Her lilting voice sounding musical, her hands folded demurely in front of herself even as she suggested decapitation.
She caught the stern glare of the General who held Protea protectively over her shoulder. "Merely a jest, General Kaliba, merely a jest." The necromancer remarked with a dismissive wave of her hand.

Elyn was silent and thoughtful as the panic started. She was beginning to wonder why she came to meet the queen... though it looked like she wasn't the only one. Instead of following the chaos, Elyn quickly slipped beside her family, giving a nod about the silver door.
